  1. ?? Don't understand either what is your problem or what the mod doesn't solve
  2. ok found that Tacca's nvg mod works great. I installed v1.2 but there is also a v1.4
  3. You should try the mirage 2k. That is what brakes should be like
  4. yeah sorry. i got triggered a bit . My point is that this is not satisfactory because most users will effectively not be able to experience the realistic behaviour unless they have the exact type of switch on their joystick. Bindings are here to allow users to recreate the realistic behaviour on different hardwares. The way this one is implemented is not optimal and not even intuitive given how it is labelled in the settings
  5. Yeah so what is your point? ... you are suggesting that applying religiously a realistic setting to an unrealistic throttle hardware is the right thing to do? ... because this is a sim and people use joysticks that are multipurpose and not the exact replica of the hardware. What the sim wants to do is replicate the behaviour. Not pretend that it would be the correct behaviour if you had the proper hardware. Brillant idea!! I'll do that. Did not think about it. thanks
  6. If having to use push buttons for gun/SRM/MRM select the bindings make it mandatory to push the SRM if one wants to switch from MRM to Gun or Gun to MRM. Guess that is not realistic. would rather have a button that switches me to MRM or Gun directly regarless of what weapon is selected.

  8. Just saying it is confusing / not intuitive because there is a binding available for 'occupy front seat' under the F-15 setup...maybe there should only be an 'occupy rear seat' there
  9. Thks Sabre. Could you explain how so it can benefit more people?
  10. Using foveated rendering with Varjo Aero in MT. Noticed issues in lighting. Highly visible in night time on a lit airport. Some areas will be lit when looking slightly away from it and then dark when looking at them or looking away from them. Moving eyes around make these shifts in lighting very apparent.
  11. Hi, can you help by putting in links here and the line you edited? Thks
  12. Thks @Bones478 away on tavels fir a week but might ping u on that lua on my return!
  13. Not sure why motion smoothing is giving you grief. Works gr8 for me. Locked at 45
  14. Since the last 2 updates putting NVGs on shows a black pixelated square mask around the NVG circle. quite horrible. Using Varjo Areo and OpenXR in MT. Can't screenshot and not visible on headset view window on screen...only under the hood
  15. Anyone has a working NVG mod for VR that works and allows to still see the instruments? The file I was using got broken by the latest 2.8.4 beta update
  16. Guess the pilot need to be available...F16 still hasn't got one
  17. Varjo user here... given the issue with misaligned cursor + no reprojection I reverted to using my varjo through opnVR as I did before the update... i.e use the openvr_api.dll hack with the -force-steamvr command. Works fine.
  18. Well I have the same crap in VR on these flat low level clouds (with ultra setting mind you)
  19. Uour GPU takes twice the time to render a frame than your CPU. Getting the 4090 will lower your GPU frametime to around 11ms (my own experience) as well so will be a good match to your CPU. BTW I am using openxr rather then openvr so don't have the vrfps measure
  20. @dburne, to be sure...The AA nvidia setting u refer to is Antialiasing-mode then Antialiasing- Setting right? not sure what the MFAA is about FWIW I tried using F16 instant action cold and dark ... opens with a long grass field which test the AA nicely. With Nvidia forced at 8x ... nothing obvious happening and lots of shimmering. With Nvidia off and DCS at 8x ... no shimering at all anymore. Different for u??
  21. hehe yes and the hours spent tinkering have to be repeated each time DCS makes an update or windows does or Nvidia does Without reprojection I suppose you need >90fps for a smooth experience and I do not think you'll ever get it.
  22. Quite frankly I would not bother with most of the tinkering as you end up spending your life on it for very little incremental benefit. Adjust the main DCS settings to your liking ( I find MSAA 2x is enough as is Anisotropic at 8x or even 4x) but I like clouds on ultra and visib range as well). Your system should be very smooth with your hardware. Possibly look into process lasso to make sure the vr compositor and other vr related processes are always given high priority if you experience some stutters.
  23. Aero has one big big thing going for it: The very high clarity / enormously wide sweet spot. Everything is clear on 80% of the lense. This is important for spotting in DCS. IMO no point having 180deg FOV if a distant aircraft will not register in the blurry space outside of what is just in front of your eyes. If FOV is what you prefer though...pimax is your friend.
