  1. Can you go into the bin file, and try the same but from DCS.EXE and NOT the launcher please? Your first log vs your last, in case im missing something.
  2. Perfect, can you run a clean boot (disable all but microsoft services), and unplug all but 1 of your monitors? Then re send a log.
  3. Code in post 1 = 142 (BEX64) hardware accelleration, on the launcher. And ive only just noticed I missed a crash from.. AsusGpuTweak.dll From your first log.. Which revolves around the fan control in the Asus software When you disabled all services you still were running this program here After disabling services, it moves to EDCore.DLL/WORLDGENERAL.DLL = 05 Which is telling us something is still using the resources, the first error code, is referencing hardware acceleration. The second code, is for resources, which could be GPU resources. Which means, the Asus software could be a conflict. But i know Google Chrome uses hardware acceleration so, thats the other thing. So far Asus GPU tweak, and google chrome are the link, IF youve installed windows correctly. But it may not be.. Only you can tell us.
  4. Did you install Google Chrome? Check the Toolbar Apps. Or even better uninstall it and try Mozilla Firefox. It uses ALOT less resources. If theres no difference after a few days, then we can change back. Which is linked with the BEX error code found by Flappie earlier on. And would explain why your error code changed when you disabled all services..
  5. You can uninstall the AI suite, Fan control can be done in the BIOS. Where are you with DCS, Are you still on the base free version? Could you post a fresh log please?
  6. Sorry i use autodesk remote workstation, I thought you said you used a remote workstation? Thats what i was referencing. The issue being if thats on, it will steal ALL your resources by priority. EDIT: just noticed you have Dipawaymode on your processes, Thats also been known as an item that suffers the 05 Access Violation- Its a very old AISuite, DIP AWAY mode is a power saving feature that activates when the compute has been idle for some time. I think you can disable this feature by going into the 4-way menu of AI suite>EPU and then untick the away mode box and press apply.
  7. We'll get there... It may take a while, but just remember Top Gun wasnt filmed in a day.. With every update you give us- please try and include the log, and the error code/.DLL and a screenshot of the services that are running if you get/have one. Be aware of your 'start up' page on your task manager. It may be booting something up without you knowing it. It could be as silly and simple as steam or discord, it could be as complex as discord AND your headset. Which was a bug a couple of years ago. Theres also been issues with Nvidia, and your headset.. The more info you put in front of us, the more we can try to look for solutions.. Ive honestly spent alot of time looking for alternative solutions, and so far a software conflict is the one thats been highlighted over and over. If i thought there might be an alternative, id share it. But like you, im abit stuck and relying on the feedback we have.
  8. Yeah, I know its frustrating, all im trying to suggest, is you change it up- Keep it that way for a week or two, and see if any changes are noticed. At least then we'd have other links to the issue. Right now, we have no positive link except windows, based upon the information youve given us. We just know something else is shutting the game down, it could be because of a number of different things, but unless youre willing to try and 'work' through some problem solving, it doesnt matter what solution we find, it isnt working for you. Alot of the solutions that have been suggested, might improve your situation over the space of 30 app starts. But if youre looking to try something once, and then revert. Its not going to give us the feedback we need to hone in on that problem. If the game boots off less time, we know its a resource issue. If it doesnt, we know its a windows issue. Every search ive done in reddit, google, and steam, points at a software conflict. Theres not a single resolve on the web (That ive seen) that doesnt resolve the issue, without 'switching something else off'. I understand that youre frustrated, but unless youre willing to put time into finding out which program is causing the conflict- We arent going to get any closer to a fix. So far, ive found links to the Asus motherboard software, Steel Series software (including the Arctis headset), Autodesk, and the RGB controller for your motherboard and GPU. This software has caused the exact same crash (05 ACCESS VIOLATION) and WorldGeneral.DLL in a number of different games all (including some of the same games on your Youtube Channel). And in every single resolve of the same error code, and .DLL it was a third party piece of software that was conflicting. Ive even gone to page 9 of google in some cases, and translated some pages in other languages. Even in french- this conflict was solved by removing another piece of software. From my understanding of microsofts error pages (correct me if im wrong), it revolves around the game asking for a resource, and your OS telling the game 'that resource is in use', so the game just shuts down as your computer doesnt have the resources available. Id like to figure out whats using your resources, but unless you want to put serious time into finding it, were not going get you a solution. Every person who has resolved this exact same issue, Including a few who have resolved it on Hoggit for the same game, had another piece of software causing a conflict. And from watching your game start up, and kick you, its as if the sound/video/controller, is getting in the way of your load- And closing the game down for its own purpose. As @silverdevil suggested, its very easy to pull a conflict through on a reinstall, it could be as simple as your browser, or a plug in for it, that youre using to view this post. Or it could be that your security is too high, and its kocking the game off as an update hasnt come through yet. But without a pattern to follow, it doesnt matter what we suggest, youre still going to be in the same position next year until you choose to sit down, trouble shoot and figure it out.. First its DCS, tomorrow it could be another game. Download DCS 1.5 See if that works.
  9. Good shout! Come on DCS, just plop them in the game.
  10. Try working on your registry as Xpact says. If you can at least keep reporting the .DLL's then ill happily keep looking for a solution. CCleaner might help clean the registry too. No matter how many times you reinstall DCS, the game wont start because of a conflict within your system. Sadly for your error logs, all i can find are solutions that revolve around the uninstall of third-party software thats causing a conflict. Weve tried a few things and were hitting walls. Everything points to be an issue with a conflict in software on your system, it could be an update, it could be a driver, it could be an old mod thats not been properly deleted. Unless you physically sit down and spend time putting a plan together, youre going to be stuck -until you choose to create a new partition on your SSD, and reinstall everything from scratch. Start by lowering your settings to the lowest and work from there, i know you tried it, but i see from the steam log you put all of your settings to high in that one. Youre going to have to stop swapping and changing and stick to constants in order to find changes in patterns. The idea being that if by lowering your settings permanently they difference in game causes 'less crashes' (As its pulling less resources), youll know that youre making progress. And if nothing changes, youll know youll more than likely have issues with Windows itself.
  11. First set all details to low. The lowest possible. RETRY Run as admin RETRY Download this and install. RETRY Reinstall all sound drivers from the Asus website. Going through every log, video and post- Asus and Sound is the only link thats constant. Delete in Savegames/DCS your "fxo" and "metashaders" folder RETRY. Then turn look at your Event log and see what thats reporting..
  12. Perfect, Can you uninstall the steel series software, OBS, Track Ir, and unplug your headphones from the computer please? And tell me if you disabled the services then tried the game, or did you disable the services and reboot?
  13. Good stuff.. This is great info. Can you go back to resource manager go full screen and click CPU in the top box, Read in the second, and commit in the lower as this please.
  14. Just keep going man! You got this.. If you can, each time giving us as much detail as you can 'How long the game runs for before the crash etc' 'List of current processes etc.' 'Even run task manager as it crashes' if you can, to see how your computer is using its power.
  15. Im sorry to say that this is just computers, its binary. The resolve will come from you giving Us as MUCH detail as you can, that it includes repeatedly telling us which .dll file is highlighted in the errors. As well as making screen grabs after youve completed tasks, so that we can eliminate the 'processes' each time they come up. The crash log has reported a very common problem, and the error code confirms that its a software conflict, which sadly means its not a DCS problem, but a conflict on your system problem. Your computer is preventing DCS from running as to direct its resources to something else. The good news is these error codes are very common, and the common resolve that i can see from the 100's of posts on reddit, google and steam forums, explain that in every instance it was resolved by simply closing down another process that the user wouldnt have ever thought be the problem. See this resolve from a user with the same problem but with a different game. There are literally hundred more of these posts, for lots of different games (Other well know flight sims). Every post ive found elsewhere, with the same error codes, points to a solution where 'another' peace of software is both the problem and the resolve to the issue. I understand its hard to keep doing the same thing over and over, but thats the only way we can eliminate solutions, and all we can ask you to do- is be vigilant, and build that data so that we can look to see which route to take each time. Yeah, he tried that page 3 He's on an Asus Mobo', Asus GPU..
  16. I dont think its a dead end, looking through pages of reddit with user whove experienced similar error codes 99% of them find a solution, there are people with similar issues to other games who are having the exact same problem. There is even a small minority who have highlighted aura, and autodesk as the culprit. In most cases, a clean boot, followed by a cleaning up of software does resolve the issue but if in your case its not, we just have to keep digging to find a pattern.. We can quit, but im happy to carry on. Thats upto you. Either way, Im fairly certain its a software conflict, as a majority of the resolves that are found are simple unobvious solutions.
  17. Click 'hide all microsoft services bottom left, then un check every service that isnt needed ie youve left 'iracing', 'logitech' and 'flexnet' checked. Youre still running services that arent needed. We need to qualify that the game can run first without the third party software. As long as check the 'hide all services' box, you should be able to boot up the computer without anything else (clean boot). But 'Non essential' usually means 'hide all microsoft services' then turn off everything but the video driver. You dont need 'iracing', 'flexnet' or the 'logitech' stuff to see if the game will run..
  18. Open up MsConfig, go to services tab. Hide all Microsoft services. See those thats left? Sort by 'running', uncheck all thats 'stopped', Im sure of those that are left- One of those is causing you the issue. Id uncheck everything that doesnt look like its needed. You can either try unchecking one at a time, and starting DCS, Or unchecking all and see how DCS goes without any of them. Heres mine for reference, to see if anything is there on yourside that looks out of place.
  19. Yeah no problem. I saw from your video, something is shutting the game down. Youve a long list of processes, Id to warrant a bet something on that list is forcing a shut down of some kind. Unfortunetly, if the game runs for a majority, the only thing to do, is figure out which process is running on your comp. that wouldnt run on someone elses PC. If its happening randomly, then why not record your desktops while task manager is open, to see which process is using the most power/mem usage etc. Disable the top, and Work back from that?
  20. Okay, so ill try and explain the issue you 'think you have', and why its a moot request.. You believe 'a faction' is important.. I believe the mission is important. You believe a faction will make a difference to the mission, I know it wont make any difference itll just make more work for me to achieve the same thing. It doesnt matter how many factions we have in this game, if the mission isnt interesting, the excess factions wont matter. They just add to size of the game on your HD. No one will know which faction youre fighting from the air, Youll know 'who to hit, and who they are'- but only because youre told from the briefing. At no point will it actually make a difference which faction youre fighting. Theyll always be the enemy, no matter who they are. Do you make missions? Even if youre in a gunship, youll just know 'those are the bad guys- shoot at them'. I dont think its important to ask the devs to spend there time 'making factions' when it wont add anything to the core game. In the event we get a Vietnam map, then yes- that will be looked at in the same way it been looked at on Syria even though if you look up 'belligerents of the vietnamese war', youll see a list of different parties. Not just the group you mentioned above. Is 'realistic factions' a game seller? No. Its a bit dull for the mission maker and while i understand your request, I can personally think of much more rewarding requests that would use a slither of the resources these would take. I dont think that a mission exists, where were flying through Syria 'on mission', and our immersion is broken because we are fighting 'insurgents'. What actually happens from your request- is we dilute the game, and make it harder to build missions. Mission makers will be forced to spend longer making sure they use the correct factions that are factually correct for the region they are working on, and when its recognised that a faction is wrong for some reason, someone will end up created a 'bug report' to highlight that 'this faction didnt use the toyota hilux that the devs gave them' but a 'ford ranger as seen in this picture here', which will suck resources away from the core game and tie up devs with nonsense. But if you dont believe me, try asking some of our highly rated mission makers?
  21. Have you thought about building mission for you and your friends, in small part of any of the maps? If you could put together some missions and close engagements with combined arms, and the helicopters- It wouldnt be perfect, but it might be a start. I would of thought that this is where the 'close engagement game' would start? All it takes is a person like yourself with a 'dream', why not try putting your thoughts into mission building and gain some traction for those others who also want the same things? I dont think youd need a 'mod' to build an RTS style campaign. Just a little time, and research into what others want from that part of the game..
  22. Ill have a guess.. Its gonna be a wild one. Your CTD.. 'This' might be the lighting controller for your RGB or even an invasive 'ambilight' software of some kind. And if this is in control of your hardware, DCS might not have control over your GPU' and is leaving the card to deal with it own conflict behind the game. Looking through your processes ('wow'- A LOT of them too) you have an Asus board, and corsair/steel series peripherals right? From your log, youre experiencing the crash on Syria, in 'power hungry' moments. Before its turning itself off 'as its too busy' using its power for control of the GPU for something else. It looks like something (software in charge) maybe fighting for control of your GPU, and forcing your GPU to 'shake its head' and ask 'why dont I have control', and making itself reset to try and solve its own 'problem', which is kicking you to the desktop. The only thing i can imagine that runs on your GPU, while youre in a game IS RGB lighting. Try disabling ALL your RGB at the bios level (aura), and turn off all controls for your RGB on your video card. If you have an Asus board, the conflict will be in armoury crate for example. Uncheck the GPU box, and See if that makes a difference. In iCUE, under settings turn off "Enable Plugins". If this solves the CTD, you no longer will be able to enjoy RGB. But, the chances are youll gain performance as your GPU's more than likely, been struggling to deal with assigning power to the conflict, and will run better just being a GPU. If it doesnt help, then something else is conflicting with your GPU, and its looks as if its resetting itself- either to 'solve an issue', or 'because its being told to by something'. It may be a driver (im on the much older 457.51- as i cant run the Channel on the new drivers), power supply, or a fault on the mo'bo./GPU.. But if its not being experienced in other games. Its not likely to be a hardware fault, but a software conflict. The more details you give us, the more likely we are we can find the issue. Hope you gain a little traction solving this.
  23. Its not for me, but lets hope it helps Op..
  24. Try the peeps, over in the Mods section..
