  1. We are working within the confines of what is modeled in DCS and not represented from the real world. We are prioritizing balance/parity between the both sides as more cold war planes enter playable status. The Mig-21 can carry 6 missiles. This is a lot in comparison to the F-5 and if we restricted the Viggen to 2 missiles only then this would cause quite an imbalance.

  5. Most players in DCS fly the modern day stuff. We wanted to make this for server for broad interest and to make sure that the server was full and that the dynamic campaign was 24/7. This is why we have F10 markers, to make the barrier of entry lower.
  6. As of right now helicopters are only tasked with attacking the front. We have some large plans for helicopters that will not require engaging the enemy but will have an impact on the front line.

Enigma's Dynamic Cold War Campaign PVP/PVE Server The purpose of this server is to provide a dynamic campaign server that is set in the cold war that is accessible and avoids frustrating mechanics. The focus is air to air and air to ground activities. Some highlights: -PVP/PVE with a dynamic frontline that moves in real time and does not require a server reset for it to move. -Overlord GCI Bot -Curated Equipment set in Early-to-Mid Cold War -All WVR Fighting no FOX-3 missiles and a focus on iron bombs and unguided rockets with some air-to-surface missiles. -There will be an abundant of helicopter missions that do not focus around slinging but are more about having an impact on the frontline. -There will be strategic targets that impact the frontline movement.   11. Pretty fun sortie on one of my favorite missions on the server.

  14. I invited three DCS players to come comment on the same fight, they all have different backgrounds and their experience leads them to comment on different things. I find it really interesting to compare and contrast the different thoughts with the backdrop of the same dogfight. This fight is from the Cold War server and it is a Mig-19 vs a F-5.

  16. My understanding was the EWRs had to be flown closer in and not just a few minutes away from the FOB so if that is the case then my calculation was wrong. I hate to break this to you but fog of war is a gimmick not a tactic in DCS. If you don't believe what I just wrote then ask yourself why people are consistently flying at tree top level in this game. The default AWACs in the game is garbage and the DCS spotting system may be the worst one in the air sim market.
