That on your Alpha R stick? Its a 4 way with push button, but havent a clue where to obtain them. The Apache switches are all two way. Some leads. Named as a slide button https://www.otto-controls.com/products/electromechanical-switches https://www.mouser.co.uk/c/?switch function=4-Way Directional%2C Center Select&_gl=1*gkkyoo*_ga*dW5kZWZpbmVk*_ga_15W4STQT4T*dW5kZWZpbmVk*_ga_1KQLCYKRX3*dW5kZWZpbmVk

I would really like to know how to prevent Windows updates once and for all.... I'm currently on 10, I have tried various attempts from the internet to prevent updates..all, up to now have failed. I boot up a day or so later and up comes "restart your computer to install updates" Winds me through the roof- 50 replies

Apache AH-64 Collective Grip - First Thoughts
Marshallman replied to Lumbergh's topic in VIRPIL Controls
Arrived yesterday, mods required for my mounting beam on the Playseat, based on grip length. Software update off Virpil to enable recognition calibration and grip button tests. New collective counter balance is an absolute game changer...standard for any Collective. Virpil instructions clear, cover everything and make the job easy. Light yes... I have a friend who says "the only thing that requires weight is a steamroller" ..not noticable once all mounted. The unit becomes one. Easily Programmed in the collective drop down for the AH64D Pilot. Easily programmed to add George. All buttons have play in them before hitting the relevant switch for that button. Little bit much for me, the Alpha I just removed they have much less play and subsequently feels better quality. Would rubber washer damping assist this? I dont know. Everything relates to the in cockpit collective, so even in VR you can look down at it until it becomes a reflex action. Flight impressions... SMOOTH as silk collective... mission and flight grips are reasonable... a bit strange at first deciding which grip to use flying...lolol Visiting the firing range ....no requirements for collective changes in the setup, smooth in flight. FCR easy setup and delivery. George setup simple utilising the FCR mode switch button. Weapon delivery easy to get into, works great. Now also programmed with Gazelle, Huey, MI8, UH60. Hind is going to take some time as I am not current on it for a while. Overall...great buy, more authenticity, more immersion. Left hand Alpha grip up for sale shortly Regards Nimbus -

Apache AH-64 Collective Grip - First Thoughts

Anyone seen the bindings list?? It was off a YT Video for the Apache Collective, which I cant remember which one. Hope its ok to add it here Regards Collective bindings.xlsx -
@DCoffey This is probably aimed at anyone with flight setup problems, Newbies etc. Hope it can help. Ive spent a lot of time recently with this machine along with @swartbyron and its so sweet. First thing I noticed is the Autopilot, I have mapped it and usually leave it off, only bringing it in for weapons delivery to utilise the Hover. It resolves a snap like effect of the heli, which may also be the "glued effect" on the ground? Second thing is 50% fuel transorms it, but its still very capable with a full fuel and weapons. Third thing, Trim reset.....I find it invaluable when transitioning into Landing turns and it very quickly becomes natural to reset trim when you have achieved new flight position (mapped to tms aft switch on stick). Also holding the trim in when transitioning does the same thing, I had NO idea you could do this...... but on my joystick it does loose connection occasionally. Settings are based on my setup I have a Virpil collective with Alpha LH grip and a Warthog Joystick with a 200mm swan neck extension. Crosswind Yaw/rudder Pedals These all relate to right hand sliders Deadzone, Saturation X, Saturation Y, Curvature of all your axes Roll 0 - 50 - 100 - 10 Pitch 0 - 50 - 100 - 10 Yaw 0 - 100 - 100 - minus10 Collective 0 - 50 - 100 - minus 20 (invert - this maybe just a Virpil requirement) Special settings Cyclic trim type instant, Pedal trim type None If its still too twitchy, then try deadzones on Roll and pitch of 4 each. Just a couple of fingers on the stick Roll and pitch error for the above, Sorry. Just realised after re-programming collective after new Apache Grip today Roll 0 - 100 -50 - 10 Pitch 0 - 100 - 50 - 10 Regards Regards Nimbus

Have you uninstalled the old Gazelle and then install it again...this solved a lot of problems for me, which sound similar. Regards Nimbus
-
Yes have you received it yet... Im trying to tie in the Grip serial number to the last four figures of the order number.
-
My Virpil Order number is 0211232338, which I presume is date of order 021123 and the build number 2338?? Can anyone relate that to be correct to their serial numbers?? Another 2 weeks Regards MikeM

All working thankyou Scott!!! -
OK so in VR specs below, Closing a game crashes DCS in VR and I cannot click the box to send info to DCS can tab around it and never into the box to click it?? Also the cursor in game now is restricted typically outside the Ihadds area in the apache. Cursor disappears anywhere inside from pilot knees to top of panel. Flew perfectly in Apache last night on South Atlantic server. Done repair and still same Regards Nimbus dcs.log-20240124-112214.zip dcs.log-20240124-123508.zip
