  1. Yeah, that took me some time to figure out. Also be sure they're armed (out of safe).
  2. That's interesting about CCRP being the least accurate. Are we talking about when slaved to the TGP? I would have thought that it would be the most accurate with laser ranging, etc.
  3. Thanks Eddie. Good info and the graphics are helpful. I do have a couple more questions ... Bingo Fuel. I didn't see anything in the manual about setting this. Is this an option? Hard Deck warning. I'd like to set a warning if I go below a specific alt while I'm in a SAM envelope. Is there a setting to adjust this? I'd assume it would be in a LASTE subpage, but didn't see anything on it.
  4. When setting weapons profiles, some have an Escape Maneuver setting. How does this option effect the delivery and is it modeled in the sim? For example, if you set Climbing Turn, and you release straight and level, what difference does it make? Thanks eta' Nevermind, found the answer here ... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=84675&highlight=Escape+maneuver
  5. It would be cool to see the gun loading door open and watch the ammo feed in during re-arming.
  6. Why #2, Laser? Don't think laser-guided mavs are modeled.
  7. Also a good thing to check is location, where the MP servers are located and ping rates. There may be some good orgs out there , but if they're across the pond or the other side of the world, you can expect pings over 200.
  8. Wish I had Frame rates comparable to the vid. Smooth! I use a CH hotas and continually adjust the trim and throttle to keep it in the sweet spot. I'm able to predict and quickly counter, but it's continual adjustments. Not sure what was going on in the cockpit in the vid, but looks like once throttle and trim are set, that's it. Would like to see an in-cockpit view of what's going on.
  9. Very nice. All they need is a controllable wireless camera, then formation flying would be possible (maybe), :)
  10. I'd like to be able to leave the MAV as SOI, quickly switch to each markpoint, have the Mav automatically lock onto its target, fire and get out of Dodge. I'm just not sure of the advantage of entering the FPLAN and creating Steerpoints from the markpoints per the Video? If you stay in the markpoint mode, aren't those steerpoints? Now with that said, I guess I'm not clear on the functional differences between markpoints, steerpoints and waypoints. I have noticed that the SPI doesn't necessarily carry over to the next markpoint, but that may just be me. Does converting markpoints to steerpoints solve that problem?
  11. Nice, I forgot about that menu. Will have to check out those worms. :)
  12. If missions have adequate airborne and ground-based FACs, that would help a great deal. BTW, why aren't E-8 J-STARS modeled? Looks like in-sim, the Predators are in that role, though they obviously have limited coverage.
  13. I think Snak is asking if you can pre-load frequencies in the ME, and you can't. You have to manually set the frequencies. Another way to check the frequencies is the Divert page, assuming your CDU is up and loaded
  14. I would say the T-72 gets a bum deal in this contract. :D
  15. I found the thread you are referring to. Seems like a waste to have 6 launchers go dead because the SR is hit. I'll play around with setting up multiple small groups with different activation ranges and skill level to mimic the effect I'm looking for.
  16. Just a question about the Buk and Kub installations. When I flew FC2, the launchers had independent optical guidance systems, so even though the search radar is knocked out, they would still be able to launch, albeit from a shorter range. It appears from some SEAD missions that I've been designing in A-10, once the SR is killed, none of the launchers will engage. I can go guns only and take them out. Is this even modeled in A-10? eta: They are all in the same group and were launching prior to SR being killed, and also confirmed that missiles were still on the rails during my gun attack. I'll try to upload my miz file. Thanks
  17. Looks amazing. Are there any custom client mods required to fly these or just vanilla 1.1.1.1?
  18. I believe modes 1 and 2 give you an attack corridor and egress direction. As far as mandatory, the AI never complained if I hit it from another direction. But since they are ground controlled modes, it's probably a good idea to follow their instructions or the CO will hear an ear full. :) -Unless the "Abort, Abort, Abort" call was a complaint. But I think my CBU's floated a little too close to them. ;)
  19. I try to hold the flare no more than 10 degrees nose high, over 10 it wants to tail drag.
  20. In my test, at 10k, the "x" symbol appears within 15 miles from the FAC. Perhaps altitude, terrain may affect the range?
  21. When I first started flying this sim I thought I had to learn Morse code to operate the Hotas ... Long, Short, Short, Long. ;)
  22. If it's a security thing, too late now, the cat's already out of the bag, lol. Might as well put it back. I created a simple JTAC practice mission. Couple things I noticed: The green "x" doesn't show up immediately in TAD. Not sure if it's because I have to be within a certain range, or whether it shows up after contacting JTAC, or whether it's the sequence of my waypoint events. More testing is required. Also, I have Invisible = True as the first event for my JTAC Humvee. The Humvee still shows up in view, however, it is in range of the Targets which are a group of IFV's and if it was visible, the Humvee would be toast, so I guess invisibility is working. Guess it's only invisible to AI. I'll try and post the mission when I get home from work.
  23. Good pit trainer = Flt manual. :) Actually, what would be helpful for me is a Hotas functions trainer. For example, flash in a window a certain function like "Create SPI", have 5 seconds to press the right sequence or you fail. Maybe have the time value adjustable.
  24. It must be like those one way tire spikes you used to find at toll booths.
  25. Occasionally at Nalchik and Beslan, there's a divet along centerline that I try to avoid. (Actually I can't consistently reproduce it.)
