It's fun though I haven't been up lately. I think initially you'll find several Public servers available on the Server list. The key is to find one that has the lowest ping rate for better stability. Fly around , meet the folks via chat and I'm sure they'll be able to help you out. There are also several virtual squadrons that you can check out that provide organized training, etc.
I've had some luck when calling the tanker during #1's refuel. You should get the "Chicks in tow" message, then when #1 disconnects and aborts, #2 should be able to call pre-contact. Haven't tested it thoroughly but as I recall, it works.
Yeah, Kinkos , guess they're owned by FedEx now. Any office supply outfit should have a print shop , at least in the States. Office Depot, Office Max, Staples, etc. Or try Google.
Funny, never knew ground power was modeled. I've had instances where the repairs are not 100%, particularly with heavy engine damage, I was unable to get to full RPMs after Repair. Tried flushing the fuel, manual ignition, the whole 9 yards.
For fun, I'll tell the wingie to RTB then fly formation on him. Two problems, though, he approaches centerline and brakes impossibly fast which forces you into the weeds to avoid. Btw, why don't we have reverse thrust? :D
Someone needs to get a repair crew out to Beslan and fix those potholes. I've occasionally had nose gear failure on takeoffs, but this was the first time while landing. It happened during my roll out as I was decelerating using only airbrakes. At 80 kts my nose bounced and next thing I know I'm skidding along on my gun. I was slightly left of centerline, the nose wheel was firmly on the ground and NS steering was not enabled when it happened.
Congrats! You passed! ( No ratings)
When I failed, it's because I didn't press the correct buttons, correct sequence, or failed to destroy the target, and the instructor never goes to the next training phase.
Interesting talking about shelf lives of Maverick seeker heads, since ideally the shelf life will be from the point they are powered on to the time they are used, which hopefully will be during a single mission. But I guess that's not always the case and they are brought back and reused.
Double mapping with Pause key, perhaps? By default it was F9, switched it to Shift F9. *Actually that's center TIR, I believe I removed Pause TIR all together.
