Is uboats profile pic an easter egg for next Deka module?
IcedVenom replied to Rinz1er's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
Good point. Hope we can get J-10A then and if not, I'll be happy with anything Chinese. -
delivered Mi-8 Multicrew Forewarning
IcedVenom replied to jmijnen's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Thanks for the response and for not giving up on us Mi-8 pilots -
That integration is a part of the Block III airframe. So is an A2A refueling option and that was included to out "Block I". The same logic can be applied here. Add only the option for HMD in mission maker settings or expand our simulated JF-17's capabilities. If you don't like it then turn it off in your multiplayer server's settings. I mean, for you, one person to say that others should not be allowed to enjoy the possibility of an HMD when ED is giving us triple-pylons on our BS3 Ka-50 holds no logic.

Hello, I was just wondering if any news has been seen regarding Russian or Ukrainian troop deployment via an Mi-24. I know they are definitely using Mi-8's for deployment but are they also using Mi-24's for their original purpose of being an armored assault helicopter that carries and deploys troops behind enemy lines? I understand they are not used in that purpose nearly as much as Mi-8 but I am just hoping any of you know of any instances where they are in fact used in that manner during the most recent conflict. Thank you.

Mi-24P has night vision goggles. In this same line of thought adding HMD to JF-17 would be much less fantastical.

I would argue it's more like FC-1, systems-wise. -
After you guys admitted to using Hind developers for the Apache I've been wondering if any work on the Hind is being done at all. I know your Apache is a top seller and all, but Hind needs some love too. It's been over three months since you said you were originally going to release the Apache, and still some time away. Do you usually steal developers from one project and move them to another that's in development all the while the original is incomplete?

Would Dekka consider working with Magnitude on the J-7
IcedVenom replied to upyr1's topic in Deka Ironwork Simulations
J-7 has little to nothing in relation to MiG-21bis lol -
Update: Now that Pakistan has J-10 that and Su-30MKK are up there

I recommend Mi-8, Mi-24, MiG-21 or MiG-19P.

DCS Mi-24P feels very twitchy
IcedVenom replied to Hummingbird's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Well, judging by how Mi-24 is armored and much heavier than Mi-8, that in combination with a smaller diameter you need a higher rotor angle degree to get into a hover of around 10, as opposed to the Mi-8 which is around 8. I'm not an expert in Aeronautics, I'm an Economist, but maybe you're right that they have the same overall surface area, but I remain skeptical. I'm not sure if having a thicker chord is an effective substitute or if the Mi-24 is just heavier or a little bit of both, but I find it more difficult and requiring much more energy to transfer into a hover from a straight flight than the Mi-8. Mi-24's wings seem to give it more lift in a straight however. -

I would argue the Mi-8 is much easier to land than the Mi-24 due to the rotor diameter. -
DCS Mi-8 is 7 years now, time for an update ?
IcedVenom replied to Hueyman's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Yeah it's called telling your copilot to do it for you because swapping back and forth between different seats in a 3-man helicopter all by yourself is totally realistic for a simulation which advertises itself for its realism. Go play single player and stop crying. -
It's like that by default for a reason. ^ This is the correct solution. This is what I have done for most of my modules including MiG-19P (Hopefully S soon).

You can fly no problem. Just look right. You can still access the panels. If that's too much then just fly Black Shark or Hind. -

Then get a friend lul or if you're playing with a single player, then play "singleplayer" -
I want an AH-1J Sea Cobra so we could get Mi-24 vs AH-1J Iranian helicopter vs. helicopter scenarios. Either that or AH-1F.

Just because you don't have any friends doesn't mean that no one should be able to enjoy multicrew.

How are you supposed to fly the MiG-15bis at super high altitudes?
IcedVenom replied to IcedVenom's topic in DCS: MiG-15bis
Wow, really informative answer. Thanks!
