So I played with the settings from 0.5 up to 2.0 and there is no impact on the FPS. Attached a picture of the 1.5 setting. But I was a little bit surprised that I am able to see objects outside of the mask. I thought the mask should prevent the game of rendering things outside of the view.

Ok with bandwidth I meant the bitrate. Sorry for that. What are you bandwith if you test it with the Oculus test? My guess is that the 250Mbit was the problem. If you set the Bitrate in the Debug Tool, is there the same problem as with the OTT tool?

I think it’s more a Problem of the settings of the OTT because all the options are possible to set without the OTT. What are your settings? Also there is a problem with various Quest PC and Quest Builds. Sometimes the USB Bandwith (settings to high causing stutters) or the ASW won’t work (change to disabled work)

V28 PC Software or V28 Quest Build? I had the same problem with V27 PC . V28 Quest and V24 PC now works fine for me without any bugs. Also the USB Speed is back at 2.3Gbit.

Your right, and with oculus link there is a third component to consider. The link via usb to the quest. As I mentioned if ED would support the Oculus performance HUD the search for issues would be much easer. https://developer.oculus.com/documentation/native/pc/dg-hud/?locale=de_DE

With the growing numbers of Quest 2 users maybe this could be on the bug list for 2.7. Would be a great tool to find performance issues.

But I think it’s linked to steamVR. So if you are playing with oculus without steamVR it doesn’t help. Edit: Oculus has its own measuring tool but it won’t work with DCS. I think it’s covered by a rendering layer or something, because on the loading screen it is visible. Maybe this could be fixed by ED so that debugging is easer for Oculus user without steamVR.

But isn’t fpsVR just for steam?

Just an update regarding the performance for Quest 2 users. I updated the Quest to V28 and PC Software on V24 and the usb speed are now at 2,3Gbit (1,1 before) and this improved the smoothness a lot. Not in terms of fps in the DCS counter but it helped. If you having problems with the Quest 2 try V28. @BIGNEWY Is the fps counter in DCS the right way to measure the performance in VR? I ask this just to clarify that the DCS counter is not showing the wrong numbers for the Quest and the performance isn’t that bad.

Oh . Is a factory reset possible?

With my VR setting (Quest 2 and a 3070) there is a fps drop of about 30%. Because I have 2.5 and 2.7 on my SSD it was easy to spot the difference. But nice to hear that there are a lot of people without framedrops.

So after testing 2.7 I have to admit that with my setup 2.7 is 30% slower than 2.5. Repair and deleting the saved games folder didnt helped. Also playing with the nvidia settings didnt helped. So I guess I have to stay with 2.5 untill there is a fix.

Ok nice to hear that I am not the only one with this problem. A fix for the next patch would be nice.

Can you please post your settings in DCS and Nvidia CP? What version of the Quest PC Software and Quest Software are you using. Would be nice to see what works for you.

Did anyone else has those white glowing VR gloves during night missions?

I was also surprised by the size of the gloves. But I didnt changed the ipd settings.

Since I play VR in DCS with my Quest 1 (1070ti) and Quest 2 (3070) I am facing the same problem. What sometimes helps is to switch out of the DCS Window (Alt-Tab) to the Oculus App (or a different App) and wait for a view seconds. But I didn’t found a solution for the Problem. ...

Had the same problem with my Quest 2. Problem was related to the Oculus PC Software Update V.25. I rolled back to V24 what fixed the issue.

The F14B was my first Module and is still my favourite. So much fun to fly. Heatblur did a fantastic job and I still hope for the F4 Phantom. I can completely understand that people like the A more than the B because of its limitations. It is very rewarding to handle the special characteristics of the A. But in a knife fight with a F18 or a F16 I would always choose the B.

Yes, but there should be a upgrade pricing structure. So if you buy one module the upgrade price to a different version should be not more than 15€.

Since v25 and v26 PTC I also have random link disconnects. For example yesterday on the Cold War server: All went great till the takeoff. After takeoff it stutters like hell and then disconnects. Also I discovered a weird glitch. Sometimes half of my view are brighter than the upper half. Switching from cockpit view to F10 and back sometimes solve this bug. Settings in the ODT are standard and resolution is maxed out at 72hz. Please Oculus fix this!

Because of the Cold War Server I switched from stable to open beta. But because my wingman wants to stay on stable I bought a 1TB SSD to have enough space for stable and beta at the same time. Maybe I can convince him also to switch to beta sometimes. @Alpenwolf Is there a reason why you didn’t integrate the A4 mod into some missions? Is it related to the IC Problem? Edit: Sorry found the answer: This has been discussed quite often and you've figured it out yourself; it would require every player to download the mod and be up to date with it. Can't do it. Having two servers would split the Cold War community in half or so. Besides, it's a lot of work and money involved in hosting another server. I run things in DCS alone and I honestly prefer it that way. Can't pour more hours into it. Wasn't it confirmed by ED that the A-4 will eventually become a module? I think I've heard or read that some time ago. Can't be sure though.

Thanks a lot for this great server and missions. After half a year with DCS I finally recognise the fun of limited technology. To shot down a bandit with a aim9P is so extremely rewarding. Did you consider to offer special benefits for people who do donations? Not in terms of pay to win but something like special slots. And whats your opinion of the upcoming Mirage F1? Should be a great plane for the Cold War Server?
