Monitor setup: 1 large screen <vs> 3 small screens
Succellus replied to Frazer's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well it depends... In the long run i m more or less in the same situation. 1 big screen + my actuall 22" for Helios + Cougar MFD ? Or triple head. If you go triple head you wont have the gauges and instrument in another monitor maybe until you invest in a third card. But if you go 3h2g you ll get a wider view which is better for SA, track ir or no Track ir. Well i don t even wanna know the final price if you go 3d... price will soar. First of all you should seek if it works before going 3h2g+ 3d. And the juice bill. As i am on Budget i probably will go some around 30 led/LCD + 22 for instruments as i already have the MFD. I didn t vote as i have no experience, just my 2 cents to beconsidered. -

Can t stress enought how clumsy flying is without one. Especially if you are someone like me who doesn t use external view when fighting. -

This was not a CVN, this was a siren and you fell for it. She dragged you to marry her in the deep oceans with others that compose her Harem. "And they lived happy forever." Under such circunstances its not snow, those are bubbles from her home.

Yeah i know... but 1000W was 50% than a 850.... and i wanted to buy the warthog so it was no game.
-
1000W !!! Damn!!! Who s hair you want to dry with that ?

I understand you, but human players can be so jerkish and not coordinate at some time they are as easy as AI. Only real interesting games are when 2 more or less coordinated/Integrated team collide. Thats what i liked in AAO, some pugs would get really coordinated after 2 to 3 matches and many really interesting situation would arise. It s really beautifull to see teamworks even when you ve been wacked by them :)

HAS Anyone Looked inside the TM WH throttle?
Succellus replied to Ziggy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
So far not, i suppose they are taking the oportunitie to do some others changes(throttle leds), or maybe they are considerig there s not enought time yet for the guinea pig to report and they don t want to report a false positive solution as they did on 1.8. -
Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
Succellus replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Well for single player stand point, the was a not so high fidelity simulator :) that did the job pretty well called F14 Fleet Defender :D !!! It was a 2 seater, and it was a bit doughting to do the 2 guys job at the time, cause intruments required (now imagine on a DCS lvl) much keyboard work and thats mean hand out of stick, out of situational awareness time. Of course with phoenix setting a stable AP and jumping operator seat was feasable you had room to do that. But in Middle range it was getting daunting. Then there s Internet conexion issues, which are present now with sngle seaters, imagine with multi seaters, multi plane A2G, G2A, A2A, G2G engagements.... Doable it is, sure, almost anything is, but the AI would have to be cranked to fill the locking shooting, situation awareness, com with pilot(or operator) and receiving order from pilot...This mean crank up V.A.C to a better state than we actually have. How would you tell op AI to lock and shoot at 1 o clock plane at 10 miles and not 1 o clock plane plane at 2 miles ? Cause the former is turning to get bearing and the later fleeing and will get out of range in less than 2 sec due to speed/path ? Or how will AI pilot comunicate with operator (you), without sounding like BB. There s many issues beyond jump front rear especially due to the high fidelity sytem we get in DCS. BTW i m not agaisn t it, far from it. I would like it much for obvious reasons. -
Waiting for info too

The only issue i have with the slew driver is its quite cramped. As it has very few travel curving the progression line isn t really usefull. The rest is fine. Damn i had forgot how painfull it is thinkering and programing HOTAS. RoF, Il2 1946, (soon IL2:fish), FC2, K50, A10c... Well at least those 2 are already programed but you always can improve, can t you ? And i have to relearn to fly....the stick is so sensitive, not used to it.

Thank you, thats it!

HAS Anyone Looked inside the TM WH throttle?
Succellus replied to Ziggy's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Well for you to be reassured i sent a e-mail and a report a week ago and nothing, i was just asking about informations thought... And to squash your dreams, mext DCS module has 90% of being F18, 100% not G. I feel your pain... -
Micky D. Then how can their attitude be reprehensible ? its not their fault if customers are mentally challenged or do brainfart, is it ? All this is ridiculous and pathetic as so many case that make USA justice be a worldwide joke. They should never have been sued, judge should never have accepted such a case to go on , on the first place. This kind of attitude only incentive people to be dumb, act dumb and try to get away wih their stupidity with money. Its like inserting the warthog stick somewhere not intended and have ripping issues, then suing TM allegating the thing name is Joy-stick, but its not written anywhere you not supposed to use it that way.

They agree on bashing the french... well nowadays. Because usally French and American agreed on bashing the brits.
-
On the dumb side. I m having a hard time to try to print blank sheet of the stick and throttle of the warthog to plan my settings on non DCS games. Any help ?:helpsmilie:
