  1. On a first side note, i would bet anyone would be willing to pay for a decent DC over next aircraft if The shark and the hog are playable. I would pay an entire plane module with a even smile wider than any plane you will bring on. On a extremly personnal note a plane bring me back for 6 month max, then i start to drop it. Could i would still be playing EF2000 if i could. Also: This game ain t military, its a game We re not military, (most of us, and even less pilots) The planes will never be military standard, Military argumentation is counter productive and give an impression of self deluding grandeur. What make people want ef2000 back ? What make people still play F4 ? And IL2 ? BOB2 ? etc? Certainly ain t canned mission. DC won t kill mission buiding, DC won t kill interest to other s campaigns. It just gonna increase the sellability of DC series, and the interest of the game. Even if you really dont want it because of quality standart, then give the comunity a chance to help you until you meet the aimed standart. Let us have even more fun with DCS. I don t know about the other but i play the game for fun.
  2. Sad, the fairy tales can be diabolic IRL.
  3. DOnt be so catastrofic in your power surge people, not all fire in building are Towering Infernoes. It suffice a bad diode or component more fragile than it should be or with a bad quality control leading to a vulnerability, so what any other device can easely stand end up poping the throttle. Remember that companies usually include some tolerance on anything related to power.
  4. Actually i asked the owner and he wasn t sure he said Mac people said him it was all proprietary but i don t believe it much. I cant recall mac doing chips anymore, probably Mobos. Lol i tought you would reply with Aliens example, but your is better. :smilewink: Your button theory works for wake up, sure but for shutdown ? I don t think its that. I am still on power issue being dha problem, but who know. I m lost here...
  5. Imune here too. Only game i really enjoyed was BF 2145 or something like that.
  6. OOOPS i don t know why i thought Maximus was the AMD side of the Rampage.. :helpsmilie: Then beware...and good luck, may the force be with you.
  7. Good news but for the DC part.
  8. Even with MAC failures reports (1 or 2 of them) thats are probably less than 1% of the systems here ? I agree with you, but its looking each time less probable as time passes and numbers grow. Its each time more looking like, its not because we havent seen a unicorn that they don t exist argument. I hope i am right in this for the AMD WT owners sake, if only that. I guess we will have a clearer picture of whats happening after firmware 2.0, since TM have delayed WT wake up to be parallel with windows load time, and speeded shut down to windows shutdows start, thus avoiding supposed spikes and arcing. But if we continue to have no AMD failure, and 2.0 fails (more bricks) it may well be how Intel system distribute informations to the device. Its remote, improbable, but who knows. Anyhow, it aint Intel faults. As for the sending mobo instead of the entire throttle, i stand corrected and happily corrected, this is good news for me if my throttle bricks.
  9. Hey mower can you post your wife with her gun in the same position of your actuall avatar... it would hurt the eyes a little less i suppose.
  10. Yskonin your on AMD your probably as safe from failures, no AMD bricking detected so far.
  11. Awesome news indeed.
  12. Interesting subject and interesting readings and comments.
  13. Thats great news at least cost wise.
  14. I really wonder why those games always have to be realeased on realistic terrains or whatever. There can be so much interesting terrains, hand made or improved.
  15. Your aguing is falacious because its based on thin air, sorry. A dozen times i asket you for facts and so far nothing. About TM offering the option, afaik it hasn t happened, if you know this from a fact outside this forum or HQsim, it would have been elegant to bring it in and then bitchslap me if its the case. Now i would be obliged to say: link it or its a lie, because so far, and this is me included, some people are more or less pissed to have to send the whole brick when the throttle mobo would be suficient. Frankly, since i bashed TM on quality assurance and on post sale services you ve been gnawing at my heels like a dog willing to bites car tires. I don t really care as i find it funny. But you are wasting your precious time. There are more interesting things in life to try to bash me. (i hope) BTW have you any TM share, are you TM employee or do you depend on TM for anything ? It would explain your attitude. Its a pathetic question but hell, i never seen someone defending a company as you are without financial bond. Unless i have hit some exposed nerve somewhere then i m sorry it wasn t intended. Keep it coming if you like, but at least check your weapon, ammo, and learn to aim.
  16. The day you proove me wrong with 1 AMD cooked warthog i ll change my mind, but so far you failed. You ratio is useless again, and as ever, as you don know squat, and slowly numbers proove you wrong unfortunatly, as streak of bricked throttle are slowly appeareing with owner already victims of resent throttle bricking, (at least 2) and people are lost to what to do. This case is getting worse worse because it shows TM weren t much knowing what was the problem as i thought they would, or aren t able to fix it, lets hope that 2.0 firmware eliminate the problem. And what is your point about eeprom culinary exactly ?
  17. To say the truth i never saw this tag anywhere... And so far so good. I guess its just quality check that if not too expensive is good for marketing. Or maybe this certification is more developed in some countries than other, seems same ISO 9000 / Sarbox kind of issues. Seems one of you is in Australia the other in Alaska, deferent part of the world, diferent requirements. As for FCC it came in only because someone mistaked FCC with USB compliance. And FCC is more about not interefering with military equipment than anything else. Military wouldn t be found of over millions equipments jamming/interfering with them in time of need.
  18. I know very well he is on his third unit, but due to the thread title...You never know.
  19. Succellus

    IL-2 1946?

    Thank s blaze +1
  20. What ???!!! your third unit bricked ???!!!!
  21. Taking on what wolf rider is saying i guess he was refering to any of the tags found here: http://www.usb.org/developers/compliance/
  22. Thinking about it, your probably right. But there s still the fact that when you move the stick your hand ain t adding meight, at least much les than when resting it on idle position. Some people (in the frazer thread) brought this issue since if not propely greased due many plastic pieces in the throttle it could bring play over time. I was just wondering how much it would weight. 6oz more or les 170 grams.
