Okay, As for the Extreme High wind setting...i was just trying stuff out :book:. Thanks for the answer Boris, and I stand corrected for my mistake that the airspeed indicator starts at 0 Kts, You are right It starts at 50 Kts !! So the m/s to Kts calculation in DCS is right, (how could i ever doubted that :smilewink:). And as a reply on youre edit i can say that it does shows as indicated airspeed in the aircraft on the airspeed indicator (needle about halfway between 50 and 100 Kts ). CDU knows current wind (only during flight) by comparing groundspeed and Track with Aircraft heading and True Airspeed. When the aircraft is on the ground the CDU can not calculate wind. Greetz.

Wind in m/s are knots in sim ?? When i start a mission at the beginning of the rwy, with the wind exactly on the nose and the wind in mission editor set at 50 m/s . I get an Airspeed indication of just below 50 KTS ?? 50 m/s should give an Airpeed of 97 KTS. If this is a bug, I hope it will be fixed. I can imagine that this fault can induce all kind of errors in flight dynamics and weapon trajectory calculations. Anyone with the same opinion ??

Thanks for the effort guys, Was focused to much on VHF AM, and further more i dicoverd a hint of dyslectia on myself !! 151 is not the same as 251. The 251 should have gave my the clue of UHF usage. But i tried it out...en got almost a tank full at the first run, thanks to you both :) Cheers Cheers

Oke thanks allready, The John Refuel miz is mine, The AAR etc..is downloaded. Both don't work for communication with tanker. Hope you can help. 1.John Refuel.miz AAR_Refueling_practice.miz

downloaded a refuel training Tuned the Tacan.....Tacan works fine. Set the right frequency on the VHF AM set Pulled up the correct VHF AM menu. Picked the "request refuel" (F1). Hear, pilot voice doing the request, and after that......silence !! Made an own mission, made sure al the callsign's and frequenties and waypoint actions where set. But no Joy,,:helpsmilie: Wheeeelp...please.

yep ...looks normal, You are flying low on speed, so youre track over ground is influenced greatly bij the wind. This can be very anoying when landing with crosswind. In the F16 you can center the Hud info by a "Drift Cut Out" switch. The only downside of this function is that the FFP marker is not giving the right "here are you going to" information anymore for lateral flight path. Greetings,

Small stuff really, but the A10C looks so perfect that it sticks out a little. In RL the "Weapon Store Swaybrace pad's" should stabelize the store by beeing screwed against the store. With DCS A10C all the swaybraces are always retracted an free of the store. Also on the Startscreen with the A10 it is drawn incorrectly. Detail...i know. Thanks

oke oke !! I can see you are pist about the fact and the replies you get. Sorry about that and i did not really mean to, but it is just how DCS works. I bet they could simplify a lot of the functions..but they did not (yet). I like to learn how the real aircraft works...so looking for a lever or lockmechanism in the beginning en learning to use it and see the effect is great. I agree with you that for example triple key combinations are a pain. What I do, is take some time for simplifying the combos to just one keystroke when posible (for the most common used functions), and use the mouse fore the rest. (there is no other way other then to build your own pedestal with switches..like Xkeys). Hope this helps you a little, Take Care

Sorry Mizzy...but you got the wrong sim then, the great thing about DCS is the simulated reality....you pretent to unrealistic, and it takes to much of youre time..so get an arcade. This is not the sim for you...sorry :D

I ve searched for it but could not find it...so maybe it is grouped...but not in a logical way then !! I just open the cover with mouse during prestart..probably not the good way to do it...but it works Greetz

Thanks Guys...found it.

Anybody having the same problem ?? The dragshute does deploy, but wil not release. I made shure that I'm using the right key's. Thanks already
-
Thanks Buzzles, that was it. Intercom Menu is not a real logical naming, so it would have taken a while for me to find it. Greetz

Hello Mig 21 Pilots, can you help me out. I can not assign the PTT switch to Keyboard or Cougar. Mainly..because i can not find it in the key list. Hope you can help. Greetz
-
Thanks for thinking with me Buzzles..and Yes i did and it showed nothing abnormal, i could uninstall reinstall etc. but the broblem remained. I reinstalled DCS world and the modules yesterday, and all is working fine now. So ....Problem solved......No clou what was the problem though!

Do not know wat happend, but after the last update, I can not select player for the F86 sabre annymore. Ik can add the Aircraft in missionplanner but it is not displayed in yellow and is not selectable for player. Is there some way to correct this ?? i did try repair dcs world...but no Joy. Hope somebody has the answer. Greetz

[REPORTED] Pilot rudder input wrong in External view
P3CFE replied to P3CFE's topic in Bugs and Problems
Thanks for the feedback, can't help myself...but is the fact that the contrail remains after engine shutdown also a known bug ?. small stuff ...but looks strange... Thanks -
When looking into the cockpit during flight with external view, I noticed that the pilot is pushing the wrong rudderpedal when I apply rudder. When I push left rudder the pilot visually pushes the right pedal (stretching his right leg). The rudder itself is correctly deflecting to the left, and the aircraft yaws to the left accordingly. It is just the animation of the pilot that is incorrect. Minor thing.....I know :hehe: Greetz

Thanks for the great improvements on the Sabre after the last update. Some things i like: -Intake of engine now shows inner structure. -Sounds are much better. Even saw wing flutter and bending at speeds above Mach one ...nice. Could be that this was there before...but still. Did noticed a few minor things . Hypoxia sets in late or not, when no oxigen is selected. Contrail remains after engine shutdown.:P Thanks again for this great upgrade
-
I also noticed that nower days the pilot in DCS is hyperventilating when there is a bump in the runway. It is not only the sabre but also the Dora, and i'm betting on it that the other aircraft also have this problem. it is a bit understandable, the way whe are flying with the poor pilot riding along. I know i would be scared to death in theire place. Greets
-
Agree, but in the original (online) flightmanual i can not find a Caution , Warning, or Note, about the strong nose up moment So i agree with youre logic...but is it really a realistic effect. Wish an old :smilewink:pilot of the sabre would give the answer...they would really know !!! Greets
-
I'm a bit sceptic about the pitch up moment during and after flap extention. Would be nice if somebody who developed the Flight profile could confirm and explain the reaction of the aircraft.
-
Oke..Got me there, I should have said "Aircraft Engines in general, producing exhaust gasses in cold enough surrounding air". If you look closely at the beginning point of the contrails you see from civil aircraft, you can see that it starts close to the exhaust (s) of the engines. You can even make out how many engines are present (and running ). The vapor appearing on the upper surface or tip of a wing, or at propellor blades at high angle of attack are caused by lowered pressure, witch makes the air expand and because of that cool down. The temperature being lowered, causes condensation of water particles (when present), en gets visible as a kind of contrail. These kind of trails are mostly temporary because it is depending on moisture content of the atmosphere only and there is no moisture added here. At high altitudes like 30000 ft and higher the moister content of the surrounding air is very low, that is why at these altitudes continued vapor trails from wings or props are unlikely to appear. The engines produce their own water as byproduct of fuel combustion, and so they will produce contrails at these altitudes. By the way, i tested the same thing with the A10 and contrail disappears correctly when shutting down an engine..so its a bug related with the Sabre. Greets.

ohh noo !!!:doh::music_whistling:

It is appearing behind running Jet engines if the surrounding atmospheric temp is low enough.
