RAM = Airpressure buildup in the pitot tube by forward airspeed (ramificated air) If the forward airspeed is to low the hud switches to low speed mode ie Hover..

interesting subject. Hope you both agree.. With an aircraft not trimmed out on an axis... (Lets say pitch), Your aircraft wants to change pitch when flying hands Free. So you have to counteract with handforce to counter this tendency. When counteracting and flying level Again, the only extra drag is produced by a un neccesary deflected trimtab. This drag is unnaccesary and adding drag..it Will add fuel usage per airmile. IT Will be small..but it Will. When not trimmed in multiple axis, like rudder and roll, you Will have continues slipping conditions witch Will increase fuel usage seriousely Greetings.. John

After a little pauze, i flew the F5 again, and I just have to say.. it is really, a great module. I mean, all the systems, flight characteristics, wing bend etc. looks and feel great !. I know it is a much less complicated aircraft than an A10C for example, but it just feels so complete and correct. I also noticed that the view with track IR is already corrected for Neck/eye position, witch is not done in every module yet I think, and I think it should !! Very nice module, hope this quality is equaled in present and on coming modules. So..my compliments to the Besimtek Dev's. Greetings, John

UHHMM, No....the whole nose gear is pressed through the concrete !
-
I know it is small stuff but... The small needle on the rpm indicator, has the sharp end attached to the center, and the straight end points outward to the scale. I can not fly with this major malfunction :D Thanks again..

When on brakes, and selected AB, the whole nose gear is pressed through the concrete:huh:. I know it is a powerfull engine butt...:music_whistling: Thanks,

Thanks for thinking with me on this. Radio is set oke, i realize this is a trigger key. Misleading instructions...yes..!! But ill stay on the left side of the river next time then. See what happens. Not a good thing for a campaign..to get stuck on faults in the scenario. But will give it one more chance. Thanks again.

Bought the campaign today.:) In the first mission, i am ordered to fly a heading 137 or so, to fly to a bridge. this heading is way off, and should be 10 or 15 degrees to the right to reach the bridge. I also get no orange smoke visual when it should. Also, the MI8 in trail, is gone when i fly in the area off the bridge. So it is a dead end already, in the first mission... Somebody having the same problems ?? Thanks allready

And........they fixed it :) Really fast correction on this !! Great service and support :)

ESSAY, PART 3: Landing and stopping.
P3CFE replied to Chief Instructor's topic in DCS: Spitfire L.F. Mk. IX
Great style of explaining aircraft behavior. Informative and a pleasure to read. Thanks -
The stick Looks great, And they say, it is just a hobby.....:) Is it working out to get it functional in pitch and roll ?? The roll mechanism seems difficult to do to me ! Have fun building.. John

Ah, now I see it... it looked as a logical construction in the Game, but now I see that in the real Spit is different. You are correct Krupi, it is a Bug, and a real big one too I think, I hope it is not to much work for the Dev's to correct. !! Greetings John

Not really sure what you mean by column axis. but.. Red is where, in reality, the push pull rod from the elevator is connected (lowest point of the stick) Blue is where the stick swivels around. ( a fixed point in the frame with a bold /nut connection for the hinge..). So if you push the stick fwd , the bottom end is moving backward because of the swivel or hinge point (blue), and pushes the elevator down. Greetz..
-
I think I know wat you mean. But the the stick is swiveling around this fixed point, this is not the elevator rod. The elevator rod is attached to the lowest end of the stick, a short length below this swivel point. If you have track IR you can lean fwd to look down in the hole, past the swivel point, and see the actual elevator rod. As I see it, it works fine and the linkage is as it should be. Hope this helps...

Sorry..had to say.."the way the wing flexes" . I know wing flex was added earlier, it is just that the way it is presented with the F5 is way more natural. As mentioned...there is a twist effect added, i think this makes the difference. look at it during taxi, and during flight when pulling some G's. you can almost feel the strain on the wing's :D Greetz

I don't know if the dev's of Belsimtek read this, But I have to give them my compliments on the WingFlex effect on the F5. It looks great during taxi, specially with Sidewinders attached, it gives the right effect for sturdy but also flexible fighter wings ..very realistic  When you fly low, fast and steady, the wing even reacts on turbulence in a great way. Also Aileron movement gives a bending reaction on the wing. The way the wing bends is also effected bij de load on and under it...really great simulation. The F5 already is a great product, and I think the wing flex makes it even more great !! Good show Belsimtek..:worthy:

Thanks, did not know that unlimited weapons cancelled the gun effect, could be that this was the problem...trying this out later :) The multiplayer thing is not only guns..the whole Jetseat is not working then. To be clear.. some servers give this problem and others don't. I'm Troubleshooting a little bit more.. ..most of the time the Jetseat is working great. !!
-
Well ..Somehow in the F5 the Guns vibration is back. Still... strange thing, that sometimes it is lost without a clear reason. Also I found out that the gun vibration of the Ka50 is there ..but very weak and irregular. So for the most part ..my previous post may be disregarded....sry still..an other question I have is: In multiplayer, with some servers (not all of them), the Jetseat is not working at all...is this normal ? Greetz John

Gun vibration missing With the latest version "simshaker for aviators" ..some of the effects are gone . In the F5, and the Ka-50 the Gun vibration is lost (tried from 50 to 100 % setting). Further more, I noticed that the generic setting is not working if you want it applied on an aircraft. Are there more users having these problems ? Am I doing something wrong? PS: I did completely remove an reinstall simshaker but it remained the same. I got this on 1.5.5 and DCS world 2 Thanks already,

Brake friction Faulty I think F5 is one of the more beautifull and complete modules of DCS. But the Braking action and reaction is completely wrong !!. Any aircraft that reacts like the F5 in DCS with this model of wheel or runway friction would ,and should, be banned from flight. It is impossible that the present friction model is correct. It is modeled as if the runway is constantly iced over. No other module in DCS is having that low wheel friction. Specially the way the aircraft slides sideways,is a give away that the friction models is completely unrealistic. It is clearly a bug and should be fixed ASAP,...can not be that hard, i believe. F5 is still in beta, i know, but it takes to long before there is at least a reply from the Devs on this. Greetz

Pytagoras is flying with us...Nice :) Great calculaton tricks.. Thanks !!

With HUD and FPM its easy..i know, but i was explaining the situation and aircraft types where ther is no HUD available. A pilot should be able to fly on its primary instruments and this is not a HUD. Greetz

Not that easy to explain, Normally you are instructed and practicing circuits on a specific airfield. there you are beeing instructed to turn final at a certain distance and altitude. This gets you on final, at the correct distance and alt, you then see the runway in certain and correct perspective. This, image of the runway, you got to remember to estimate the correct position on glide slope for future approaches, normally 3 to 3.5 degrees .. This perspective should remain the same during final until flaring. so..if you are getting to low on glideslope, the runway perspective changes into a more compressed image, i.e. the runway-end visually seems to get closer to te beginning of the runway . If you are getting to high on glide the runway perspective changes to a more streched view of the runway, so runway-end seems to get further away from the biginning of the runway. So.. youre goal is to innitially get into the right position on glide (training and instruction), and then keep the perspective on the runway unchanged during the approach until flare. It's fun if you master this..but it takes some exersize. Hope this helps...(Flying is fun)

F1 2016 supported ? Hello Andrey, Are you planning to make the Jetseat work for " Formula 1, 2016" racing simulator ? That would be great. Thanks, John

Wind direction is interpreted wrong I think it is a big thing that a High quality sim like DCS is spoiled by wrong wind implementation. AI is taxing to the wrong runway end to go in Take Off with a tail wind  ATC is giving wrong direction for take off, but for landing the opposite on the same runway :pilotfly: Direction in mission editor is not " coming from" like it should but " going to" which is wrong  Is it that hard to fix ?? it is a real BUG...!! ED ... Please fix this !!
