OK Thanks for that, will try that out. 2hrs later, YEP that worked for me, have a Billy Bunter 2 seater, needs a LOT of adjustment, but it looks great. THANK YOU

I installed the 2 Seat Hunter, ran the su25 first, changed to Hunter, but no model or cockpit, just the map showing where it's heading off to. Hopefully this will get sorted in time. but thanks for the heads up on the Hunter

Here with autoexec.cfg file as mentioned in troubleshooting could not find 'try to find dump information' used file/search and copied that line in. No results have added the extra line that BigNewy advised in troubleshooting. also attached latest crash log, I've tried multiple times since first post to troubleshoot. Malwarebytes has quarentined E:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt\DCS.exe, but I restored it, and then put the following in ALLOW list E:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt\DCS.exe E:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin E:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin-mt E:\DCS World OpenBeta\bin\DCSUpdatar.exe and it's still crashing autoexec.cfg dcs.log-20240711-230922.zip

Installed new update and got to the screen where I was to use Afghanistan map, made a coaliton change, selected continue, Had Malwarebytes reject 2 files as known Malware.....Don't believe anti-virus. Put my whole DCS.exe into Malwarebytes, allowed folder. Game startup gets to new launch screen. I launch, F-15E disabled (no problem), Then, 15 YEARS DCS screen comes up, and about 5 sec later," Unfortunately DCS has crashed, send debug...." I agree and have sent the debug info.....Hope this can be resolved. I'm a patient person, as software is a horrible thing to try and control. I have previously disabled ALL mods by renaming the folder Old Mods.....I'm 68 today.... I feel like an Old MOD at the moment I am starting with the Basic Updater.exe, not the full fidelity version. Repair and clean up has put my bin & bin-mt folders in a backup. Still crashed I put the bin&Bin MT folders back in the main folder and used the same shortcut that says from bin folder that I have always used for MT version, same result, crash Crash log attached. dcs.log-20240711-222305.zip

ADMIRAL189'S CORNER - INCOMING SHIP MODELS
flyingscotsman replied to Admiral189's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Hi Admiral, Just want to congratulate your 20/20 vision, spotting insurgents, within tree cover.....I only spot them as I, Eject from my burning aircraft, or on one of the rotations, which rapidly increase after getting my tail rotor shot off, by the 20/20 vision, deadhot insurgent...hidden in the trees, LOL. -
Flaming Cliffs 2024 | Supercarrier Updates | Launcher
flyingscotsman replied to Graphics's topic in Official Newsletters
Will there be anything in FC2024 that will enhance Mods in the future. I.E. Many MODS, have '"FC3 Required", is that likely to change to "FC2024" required, in the future. I have all these aircraft as full fidelity, so it may not be something I can benefit from. Thanks in advance -
Petsild, Thanks for assistance
-
Thanks to Petsild with assisting comments. I noticed in Pricklyhedgehogs last sitrep, watched today, that his instruments at the start of the video, were flickering, and that later is was less noticeable, Tried it on mine on the Marinas map, and yes it seems to settle down....but I am distracted by flying the helo for a few minutes and didn't catch on either his or mine, when it improved. Will test again on a vanilla map and come back. So tried again with vanilla Nevada & Caucusas map. Same result. The white in the main panel is flickering, (IMHO) and then it's mainly noticeable when you are looking at the flying instruments. However, if you lean down and closer, so that the coaming takes away the stroboscopic effect of the blades, it is diminished. However, that is not a comfortable or safe position to play the game. I moved the frame rates from 1024 through the others and still came back to 1024 as the most imersive and there was no real difference in the 'flicker' of the white portions of the instruments. It is just a flickering that is enough to detract from the enjoyment of a beautiful model and I would welcome any advice on how to clear it further. Can I move this to Bugs and problems?

Ok Petslid, Thank you for your patience. I managed to get screenshots mapped to odd pair of button combination on throttle. 2 slides attached. Any assistance appreciated Also...because I'm so chuffed I got that screenshot thing to work... here is copy of my current settings in game

Sorry my screenshots are not appearing where I've had them before, will have to sort it and get back, don't want to mess you about.

Early Release of the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Manual
flyingscotsman replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
Aye good point, what could possibly go wrong eh? But IMHO there is a real difference in the FM and the Kiowa is a dream to fly. -
Early Release of the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Manual
flyingscotsman replied to Polychop Simulations's topic in DCS: OH-58 Kiowa
Thank you for the Manual, just flown the Kiowa and found it so responsive, brilliant thank you. Wish I could do the same on the Gazelle.....can I cut and paste the FM Please? lol. Now time to read the manual and do the training.....like a should have done straight off. THANK YOU, Delighted with it. -
Glad to find this thread, I have been in various RAF Helicopters, sometimes in the left seat, but I'm no pilot. But I agree with Gunfreak, I never recall the problems landing from hover that we seem to have, (Maybe because the Wessex weighed a ton and just flopped down due to gravity) But I have just been able to hover taxi the Kiowa around Anderson AFB, with just light touch on the controls, the way I recall a Puma pilot just holding the stick with his fingers. (Not gripping it like a gorilla, like what I do) So my question to Polychop, Can we copy and paste this FM to the Gazelle. I flew around Northern Ireland in an army Gazelle, and the pilot was gently moving things as we did knap of the earth flying that was so smooth. It's not a critisim, I just find this more like what I experienced all those years back. THANK YOU, It's a lovely module

F-4 Speedbrake binding, timing problem?
flyingscotsman replied to flyingscotsman's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Kalasnkova75 & Major Corvus, Thanks for advice, will try and find a button that fits, at least it proves I'm not going nuts! OK just done that and Major Corvus's answer works best for me, I'm used to using that button, although I use it the wrong way apparently, its just more natural, THANK YOU both for answering -
I have a HOTAS throttle & stick. I have always bound my speedbrake to the same button Forward/out, back/In (I know it may be the opposite in real life, but that's just logical for me, I press my car's brakes, forward.... Anyway, I can only get the brakes to deploy using the Keyboard, B,(Next) and even then the timing seems to have to be 'just right' to get this to work I can see the brake button on the in game throttle doing what it should. But try that with the HOTAS button, nothing happens. Have MFD buttons, set them up, says ok on the bindings, but nothing happens on the aircraft Changed to different buttons on the throttle, same thing...nothing. Is this some kind of timing issue with the throttle switches? Great aircraft, not got my muscle memory with some of the bindings, but that's old age and finger trouble All my other modules work fine with my current HOTAS Throttle, no problem with airbrakes

Cockpit is not the one in the manual
flyingscotsman replied to flyingscotsman's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Hi Art-J, I forgot to do a restart after all that, it can make the difference, IMHO, and sure enough, I have the new cockpit. Thanks for the hint...i.e. I've missed something -
Cockpit is not the one in the manual
flyingscotsman replied to flyingscotsman's topic in DCS: F-4E Phantom
Yep I did that and took out all MODS, but will go through it again, thanks -
I downloaded after entering my key yesterday. It was accepted, and I downloaded the module this afternoon. The body of the aircraft is ok, but the cockpit looks like a VSN copy. I attach 3 photos showing, where my installation is on the PC, my E:\ DRIVE, installation looks ok to me another shows my C:\User\username\Saved Games\DCS.OpenBeta\, I have two entries below them, DCS_AJS37 and below that DCS_F4E Where should thesse last two folders go? I the DCS_F4E in Mods, no change to cockpit I put it just in the OpenBeta folder, no change to cockpit. Any advice appreciated Thanks in advance

Hi Jonny Dioxin, I too had the same problem again with the purchase on the first day. It just hung after getting to Paypal, and waiting for payment, so I figured it was sheer number of people waving their credit cards at the same time. Gave it about 15 mins then I cut the link, just in case of scammers etc. Next morning did it again, there was a 5 minute wait, and it worked. Thanks for advice though, appreciated

Hi to Juice & the Team, Excellent on line Q&A, 1/2 way through it on the big screen, before the family voted me out....lol. Looks really great,Guess I'll have to have another un-birthday to justify it, but who cares.....It'll have been bought. Good Luck
