Switching from front seat to rear not working in VR
flyingscotsman replied to Sirbum's topic in Bugs and Problems
Also done a repair and cleanup, still unable to access WSO cockpit with current set up, or to allocate a spare switch to it. The control adjust says populated, but nothing happens. Log file attached if someone could take a look please dcs.zip -
Switching from front seat to rear not working in VR
flyingscotsman replied to Sirbum's topic in Bugs and Problems
Rudel...THANK YOU, Not a place I'd thought of looking at all.... Some time later! No joy. I've clicked SOLO Flight, no change. Tried various permutations of both crew, disable multicrew, no change. If you go to controls, select F-15E WSO, 1&2 will indicate they are populated. I also set up Wso using an Eng Switch on the HOTAS Throttle, it indicates its accepted, but nothing happens in the game. I deleted the module, closed the PC, started again and inserted the module again, no change As I have LOADS of MODS, I disabled all the MODS and set up a new mission new map vanilla, no change. I thought it might be the keyboard, but most other switches work, I do notice that the flap's switch on the Throttle is ignored, buttons 22/23 are populated in Controls section, but only F7 actually works, using the switch for flaps up & Landing Flaps, gets no response. Could this be a software glitch? Any advice, opinion apprecieated -

Babzo, nice picture, but why has the driver just got a wee bit of glass and a windscreen wiper for defence.....not confidence building is it? Or is this just a fair weather mod for training or some sort? -
Russian intelligence vessel - v 1.0.1
flyingscotsman replied to tripod3's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Excellent, thank you. We used the get these beasties call us on Flight watch in the middle east, say that they were Aeroflot, very American accents, asking for assistance. We processed their request through to OPs and shortly after got told, nothing to do with Aeroflot, do not reply again. Later still we were advised it was a Soviet spy/ surveillance vessel. Will flyby at max chat to see if he's awake. LOL FYI, if we were on the Nimrods and came accross a ship, we could do 2 passes and get our pictures, if we did a third pass, it would be considered a hostile act. Getting the piccy's amazed me. The pilot had 3 dayglo lines on his window, that deliniated the distances, Down the back on the right side, they'd open an observation window, and a guy would lean out, with a huge camera, A couple of guys would also be holding onto him so there was no danger he'd be sucked out and have to swim home. The pilot would come up the ships side and call out , 1 -2 -3,go, or words to that effect, and the camera guy would be clicking away after 3... There was a Fredrick Forsythe book about an oil tanker hi-jack, and a Nimrod is put up and circles from some miles away, From which a small lantirn style camera was deployed from under the front wheel, and the Nav locked the ship on his screen and the ship would remain locked on for all interested parties to watch in real time....while the great military minds sorted out the problem.. Looked for that hatch a few times, never found it. and the capability was on the wish list of quite a few crew after reading the book -
OnReTech, and Sedlo, NICE WORK, that map looks great and man it's BIG, was in the middle east in the time 1975-77, There are many places on the map I'll never get to visit but were on the news at the time. I'm sure you've done an excellent job. THANK YOU

Nice fleet of ships there Admiral, thank you -
Hi Comrade Doge, Looks like a great tool I am getting cannot connect to DCS. Sure I'm doing something stupid...usually best to assume operator error. So I have main DCS Beta on my E:\Drive. I have put the The Way lua in C:\Users\mygamename\SavedGames\DCS Open Beta\Scripts. I installed the new V2 version, I may have put the 'add this bit to the Lua file' in the wrong place, Its at the very bottom - See attached 7zip files I ran DCS world Beta, and then tabbed the screen to open The Way, the window appears, but says, cannot connect to DCS world I opened a Nevada map with an Apache and could set up waypoints on the DCS mission editor map, but could not get The Way to respond. Feel free to slap me for being daft, no rush either, I'm a patient ex mil guy THANK YOU TheWay.7z Export.7z

Admiral198, Yep you've done your time at sea that's for sure. Did a trip RAF/RN liaison out of a south coast base, where Admirals watch ships outgoing and check they are 'Dressed' correctly until quite some distance out. They stuck us on the flight deck with the lads, for AGES we were freezing and got a good soaking, but were warned not to move! lol. I was not a good sailor sadly. Did however get my Bosun's cert for the high speed launch in Ascencion Island so we could help out the RN with moving people and things around ships in the bay. Enjoyed that, always better when your driving and I never dropped anyone in the drink, alongside. Not bad for a Crabfat, Respects -

Hi Admiral, My brother's Father in Law was a ships Captian for P&O, His first job was on an old Liberty ship, that became 2 halves not long after unloading on the 2nd voyage. Saved by compartmenalisation and a switched on crew who evacuated both halves in double quick time. He ended up on Supertankers and said he never saw port for almost a year at a time, chugging from one Docking Terminal to another about 5miles out. Jacked it in after being stuck a Kharg Island for a year or so, when the American Embassy situation started. He had the most fantastic railway set up in his house and all the trains were from different countries. Says he diverted a supertanker over to Japan, so he could get a great deal on a model, used a Typhoon warning as an excuse, He was a really nice guy -

ok Toan, a liberty ship, according to google was 10,000DWT ie. thats what it could carry, so 240,000 /10,000 = 24 Liberty ships...thats some carrier -

Them thar behemoths look fantastic. I wonder how much more each ship carries nowadays, compared with a ww2 convoy of supply ships, that were PROBABLY about 1/4 the size. -

flyingscotsman replied to MadMaxter's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Hi dINozzo, When you set up, the default is in the air about 6,400ft. Click the aircraft in map overview (Where you put the a/c) look right and check if it says Flyover/Turning point. Click on there and you get a dropdown that says, Parking hot, Parking cold etc. I'm not sure, you might have to select a parking slot on the carrier and use autostart, then trundle over to the catapult, Hope this helps, Welcome aboard, we all have to start somewhere -

I downloaded the new multithreading update, no problem. However, today I wanted to use Apache training mission....there are no missions in the multi threading version Nor any in the 'old standard' version of DCS World. Not for any aircraft or helicopter. Missions is populated for some aircraft, but training has departed elsewhere! I did DELETE the Caucuses map, and it is sat in my ready for download, but I don't see that that would remove the training stuff. Any help appreciated
