Il2 1946 and FSX killing LO/FC....
ZoomBoy27 replied to theGozr's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
IL2 46 is good for the online stuff and for completeness but will not replace in the long term the TYPE of flight experience that Lockon provides. Modern stuff is modern stuff - Lockon'll draw in those people who want a different experience. FSX has moved the flight experience forward - With the FC AFM, Lockon moved it forward and LO:BS(6DOF, clickable pits, possible WAFM) will too. But with the limited sim market can we get it all at the same time for ALL aspects of a sim. There's a lot of people for whom Turbulence is not on their radars for the on-line activites. It just doesn't matter when you have avionics and missiles and squadron activities that provide lots of great flying and combat experiences. Adding it would be nice - but expecting a 2 year old engine to provide next gen experiences and getting the other details correct would be setting yourself up for disappointment. I wasn't aware on the non-turbulence of the On-line - is this true for the AFM of the Su-25T as well? The on-line stuff will hold the community's interest - adding the turbulence would be cool. But at what price for FPS and extra testing? Glad you asked though. -
Mmmmmm, domes!

If you take a look at the remaining stub of a wing, that would have provided a percentage of lift. But pure power and the large frame are the main reasons for staying aloft.

Some Questions on the SU-25T
ZoomBoy27 replied to firesoldier845's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
With respect to the IR Jammer - I asked and one of the DEV team said there's no warm up modelled. In real-life it does take 5-10 minutes to warm up but not in LO:FC. Fuel usage: I had created a mission in a campaign(Adler Secured) and people reported back that they ran out of fuel. So I did some testing After Further testing (per 10KM) - 3500 for non-take-off maneorving 90% throttle and 90% throttle Full Loadout @ 100% - 100 kg ==> 350 km 175km range(little loiter) Full Loadout @ 90% - 75-80 kg ==> 450 km 225km range(little loiter) Stripped @ 100% - 85 kg ==> 410 km 200km range(little loiter) Stripped @ 90% - 65-70 kg ==> 520 km 260km range(little loiter) GLiding downwards at reduced speed subtract 5-10 kg for 10km for 100km trip as in my campaign - 200 kg difference in ingress at full throttle versus slower speed. And when you're over the mountains, you can glide downwards at lower throttle for extra savings. And on egress you can dump your weapons The full discussion is this thread here. Also check out the Up-to-Speed Guide for Su-25T for cannons and gunpods co-ordination. The Guide on my web-site is the latest version. -
You also might want to glance Check out my Up-to-Speed Guide to the Su-25T See the section "Bombs to drop/Missiles to shoot/Cannons to Fire" Lots of buttons to press. Mainly keep you bird level and in-line with the target.

And then I come along to pimp egregiously my Su-25T Guide(link located in my sig) even though you might never see or fly a Su-25T :hehe: -
Quick noob question on Su-25 tires

And at no point do you get out of your plane. If worse comes to worse, put a sign up that tells people to call the police for assistance. -
Another option is for groups or lines of trees to be turned into forest collision boxes. I think EECH did that.

Looking for cool action packed replays!

Pleather is a combination of plastic and leather. It 's a plastic that's trying to emulate, usually badly, leather. -
Which missions or all missions? Or is it Quick Start? What CPU, RAM, and GPU? What sort of Lockon settings do you have? Heat-Blur?

The IL2 mini-mapping is the best You can have the options to: 1) show all planes and the map 2) show only your side with waypoints for the Player on top of the map 3) show only the Player with waypoints on the map 4) Show only the Player but with no Waypoints but you can navigate by using the map

I've some 1.1x missions that have buildings placed but an A-10 Mission called "Mountain Pass 757" specificly targets them, It's a mission that targets a variety of new buildings and targets that came out with the Flaming Cliffs add-on. Based on a mission in "Hold Back the AEF" for the Su-25T. There were ammo depots,watch-towers, barracks, HQs, and pill-boxes as targets To take a closer look in the Mission Editor; the unlock password is "gilliguck" See my sig

You're looking at the Merge function I only have used Merge to Copy a Flight in the original Mission. This is the workflow that I used: Open the mission in the the Editor, Save what you mission are working on e.g. tester.mis Select or make a flight that has Player on it Click on File | Merge Up will pop a list of files Double-click on the one you are working on e.g. tester.mis On the map should be a Merged Group Drag the way points around to look at the group and player should be client The MergedGroup contains the same path as the Selected Airgroup What it does not contain and what you have to fix manually is: You need to create the Attack points You need to create the Land/Takeoff points For each Waypoint you have to adjust the Altitude and Speed If you have a 2-plane original flight, the MergedCopy becomes a 1-plane flight Good news - you retain the payload This is a very limited copy method - you can copy the player flight only. ... Further testing shows you can only import/Merge-in the Player flight from another mission

There've been many different flavours of Falcon over the years. This is just another irrelevant one especially if LP continues to develop it. LP has the advantage that it can continue to develop and their version will be the only one that counts. As I don't follow F4 politics, corrections to follow

Ya, they need to improve that I use the Merge function to get almost the same effect

You might want to try my A10 Death-Star Run It was made in 1.02 but runs fine :punk: in 1.12a :hehe: a10_deathstar.zip

Maybe ask the Server to broadcast that message. DC-A2G broadcasts a warning about the time left on a mission. Maybe servers can try that.

I would like to come back to LockOn, but...
ZoomBoy27 replied to FCIProject's topic in User Created Missions General
There some work being done for on-line DCs - This thread here and DC-Air2Ground has a DC server in Hyperlobby plus others like =RAF=Dedicated SwingKid's Skywars DC is in progress with an Alpha Version that seems to be functional. Someone has mentioned LMR Lockon Mission Randomizer Announcement with details A Thread with a link to the LMR.zip(geocities works) There is also a Mission Pack for it for A-10 and Su-25T on LockonFiles I also found on Check-six/Utilitaires Page2 something called Lomisgen 1.11 Lockon Mission solo generator by Hans-Otto. Le site officiel seems to be down but you can download the zip. Or On LockonSkins as "Lockon Mission Generator - Great but somtimes buggy Mission Generator !" There's also the LOMU grogram with some randomization features. Have you tried the Advanced Flight Model of the Su-25T - the most fun inside the cockpit.
