  2. I think he meant not the paint/markings but the final ingame visual...HDR makes it too pallid. Real paints have more vivid colours.   4. Yes, that is AAM-4 Mitsubishi-AMRAAM under left intake. AAM-N-6 Sparrow (under right intake) has larger wings and smaller fins than wings - AAM-4 has opposite size of wings/fins, moreover the body of AAM-N-6 is a bit wider than AAM-4. Under left wing you can see an "ordinary" sidewinder (with larger rear wings) not an AAM-3 just same on this image - you can see clearly the differences between AAM-N-6-rear and AAM-4-front. (1st pic) AAM-4 (2nd pic) others: Sparrows on last image you can see an inert Sparrow - no yellow (warhead section) and brown (propulsion -rocket motor section) vertical stripes, also missing brownish/rust coloured proximity fuze horizontal stripes/windows on guidance section...so from (that) a distance we cannot see is there a live or inert/training missile (IMHO: live all http://i.imgur.com/YZLHcPa.jpg?1 )

  9. ...Maybe ;) Sign me up too :lol:...i am on it :D That's true :P Nothing is easy to change/make better in DCSW but sometimes boring :megalol: (usually i change to other project when i stuck with something, but processes of other/newer projects often bring solutions for stuck projects also) 4xmpl: this morning I woke up with an idea in my head: to make afterburner flames more real looking. After a quick brainstorm :) i decided i want to see much more bright AB at night (currently daytime AB flames brighter than flames in night time which is nonsense/preposterous) So, right now i am "playing" with forsage: materials, single and dual sided textures, chrome effect, shape correction/modification of original model, using other models for flame etc. All can bring different visual results (images later) Future idea: animated flame (shaky/quaky/wavy animations) ...yeah, after it i will jump back to "old airport lights corrections"...maybe tomorrow/next week ;)

  11. Ok Folks...Thank You for comments and ideas but please don't forget i am not finished it yet. Yep, needs tweaking more a lot, especially adjusting textures which are essential things for those vapour clouds. I try to make/tune better textures (alpha channels and contrast are most important) while i also adjust 3D model sizes/form (fuselage, wings, wingtips) to make more aircraft specific condensations for more ACs such as Su-25s, Su-27s, MiG-29s, F-18s, F-16s etc. ...and i am working on texture animations and smokes also which will visualize the vapour flow ...and at the and these will need serious lua works to show correct vapor intensity by speed and angle of attack (meanwhile humidity/moisture is also one of the most affecting element IRL, 4xmpl: no strong condensations in Nevada but there are the strongest in Florida/Virginia, Wales/Scotland or overwater)... not mentioning transonic condensations: suberbugs can create spectacular effects IRL Too much ? ? ?   15. There are strobe, anti-collision and rotating lights almost on all aircrafts, but E.D. not programmed (LUA) yet into game, however it's very easy ;) maybe they are waiting for EDGE too :)

  17. Basically there are five methods to modify "things" to look more shiny: 1. Changing effects in fx. files - of course it will affect spectacle of the whole DCS world 2. Changing livery datas/values in description files 3. Changing specular textures of model 4. Changing material and property settings in the model file 5.
