Think of it like some hunger management therapy. While one is smashing the light bulbs, isn't arguing or asking for F-15C/Su-27S AFM / Su-25T cockpit / whatever... until the team is off holidays. :)

Russian forum model WIP...
104th_Cobra replied to Silver_Dragon's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Finally. Bring a proper modeled MiG-29S, along with a Viper, the two with all "the bells and whistles". There will be a lot, and I mean a lot, of crazy walking erect monkeys happy. :) -
Nothing better than a "full piece of bacon" Here's the recipe: http://lagar.wordpress.com/2009/05/01/leitao-da-bairrada/

Comparing ARMAIII with DCS is like comparing beans with codfish. Think about the number of objects, to calculate and render, in the ARMAIII~~900 square km or in the DCS ~~140 000 square km (at the present Caucasus terrain). The number of objects, perhaps, can be compared: it's a matter of scale and resolution. With Levels Of Detail or not, the tesselation capability in the in-development DX11 EDGE engine is an important evolution.

Rhino "tanks". Were the armoured combat vehicles (not sure if they were all main battle tanks) adapted with "prongs" in front of the vehicle, with the specific purpose to open gaps in the hedgerows. There are footage with the use of that vehicles, in some documentaries like BBC's "The World at War".

Strange, there's still a line in .\Scripts\Input\Input.lua Input.setHeadTrackerDllPath('./bin/headtracker/headtracker.dll') But whatever, I'll try it later and I will get back to business :joystick: -

That's a pity, i tried it right now and i download it. It is a good text, even with references to air-to-air combar. [quote name= I did however find pretty much exactly the info I was looking for in this document: http://www.fas.org/irp/doddir/army/fm100-2-1.pdf Nice one. There are here, right now, an interesting repository :)

Something where you can dig :) The Evolution of Russian Offensive Air Warfare Theory http://www.dtic.mil/dtic/tr/fulltext/u2/a272608.pdf Initiative in Soviet Air Force Tactics and Decision Making http://ia601209.us.archive.org/18/items/initiativeinsovi00john/initiativeinsovi00john.pdf The Limits of Soviet Airpower: The Bear Versus the Mujahideen in Afghanistan http://www.dtic.mil/cgi-bin/GetTRDoc?AD=ADA391797 For more, search in DTIC. http://www.dtic.mil/dtic/ Edited: And more, if you want read the novel "Red Army", from Ralph Peters, an US Army Military Intelligence Officer. There are described some tactical situations, mostly ground forces combat but also some use of close air support aircraft and attack helicopters.

There should be some video animation when approaching driving some ground vehicles, some locations in Vegas like the Spearmint Rino or Saphire...

Really? Hadn't you see the movie Red Dawn (1984), where the bloody commies invaded the Land of Liberty and Equality and a bunch of high school kids went Rambo style and killed them all? :D You can always put the Red Army playing the enemy role. Jocking :D

Yeah, I would buy a DCS quality of a Tu-22M/B-1B, or even some Su-24/F111/Tornado at the first second after release.

Where's the DCS Viper and/or DCS Fulcrum????? :D

In what respects the DCS F-35 Kickstarter campaign not attaining the $75K goal, I read a comment by David Kinney who explained that Kinney Interactive is prepared to contribute the remaining needed funds. It seems smart to me, as they will have community contribution and involvement. Respecting the F-35, and even after I had big fun with DID F- 22 and TAW in the ending 90's, I'm more adept of flying older avionics. That don't restrain me of contributing. This module will contribute on the implementation of ground radar modes and will improve capabilities and employment of more air-to-ground weapons. More interesting, it will bring stealth to air combat dissimilarity (if a P-51D can bring down an A-10C, why not stalking F-35s riding a Fishbed :D ). Respecting the DCS label, we can trust Eagle Dynamics appreciation on the project. Also, Kinney Interactive have already work done with F-22 and B-2 avionics simulation and the DCS F-35 will be a Lockheed Martin Licensed Product.

:D And with all objects destructible, with fancy animations like light bulbs going off with a shot, metal sounds coming from some transit signals with the respective holes animation, cows going off pieces after a automatic grenade launcher impact, feathers going off birds ripped from the sky with shotgun shots, etc, etc. :D Will also be good the capability to automatically court martial and the respective virtual career termination, after an infantry platoon going berserk and slaught an entire village civilian population...

Wait for the EDGE engine in development. It will bring DX11 with tessellation capability and multithreaded rendering. This realizes in a more efficient terrain and objects rendering, including a increase in the number of polygons: more diversified terrain and vegetation. It will rest with the developer of the theater/scenery, the responsibility to increase the number of terrain features. For infantry or even to armored combat, it will not be practical the development of large and very detailed theaters. But there's the possibility to make a smaller one...
