  1. The German Hair Force After remembering a talk I had with a friend I have to post a reference here. It's about the time interval in the 70's when the German soldiers could maintain their hair longer than the others nation's armies standard. You can imagine the grassing jokes around :) I think that rule got revoked because some barber had good connections with a General :D http://www.spiegel.de/international/zeitgeist/the-german-hair-force-a-failed-experiment-in-military-manes-a-744992.html
  2. Keep tight. It's preparing to be a strong storm when hitting the coastline. Be sure that You and all your relatives keep safe.
  3. I already pointed the importance of turning runway damage permanent on this post http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1481409&postcount=37 Without permanent runway damage there is no place for offensive counter air against the runways, no place for weapons like BetAB-500shp (implemented) or Durandal and JP233 (not implemented). Debris remotion and runway damage repair should be assumed by a time interval to accomplish.

    GA!

    Happy Birthday! :)
  5. Give me the 80's brown/green/yellow stripes camouflage, or some brown/yellow stripes to the upcoming Nevada scenery, and I'll be happy. :)
  6. 1m resolution. Radar modelation as a dynamic process will be a heavy process to atach to a CPU or GPU. http://techdigest.jhuapl.edu/TD/td2502/Awadallah.pdf The alternative will be the method used in Falcon 4 or Jane's F-15/FA-18, differentiating ground mapping and mobile objects maping given each method a precalculated image. For sure Eagle Dynamics, in the DCS Fighter works, have already one method or more to solve this problem.
  7. <dreaming mode> From the North Cape until Akrotiri. </dreaming mode>

    Eye Candy

I'm drooling thinking about the know-how being acquired and that it will be applied when Razbam will make THE SLUF!
  9. Yesterday, I was on the 104th DCSW server in a P-51. When at 20000ft, I had no effect of using NON RAM air on the carburetor temperature, it was always at -20ºC. Probably because of NON RAM air not being employed... At least I'm not breaking the engine when maintaining continuous 36'' manifold pressure and 2400rpm :)
  10. Beware not to fall asleep beneath the coconuts. :)
  11. Nice. Another one.

  13. Why the R-77 when we can have the R-33/R-37? R-37 for the Su-27S! :holiday:
  14. Go for the updated and revised (2nd) edition, 2012. Very good book and history.
  15. That's why, normally, I prefer the MiG-29. With good acceleration, and already entering the merge fast, I can change altitude faster. Going medium altitude to maximize the detection range on radar HI mode, while forcing a 1st shoot by the bandit. When in range to shoot, a fast climb and shooting 1k-2k above the bandit, while maintaining the bandit on the radar gimbal limit (on ILV mode) and forcing the enemy missile to drag and miss. All this with someone else doing splits or even hooks. Sometimes there are a bunch of lonewolfs in the 51st TS willing to coordinate (Sgt Willzah & Co).
  16. +1 :joystick:
  17. :sleep:081504Z SEP 12. I want my new shiny missiles AFM! My precious!
  18. 071950Z SEP 12. Where is FC3?? :music_whistling:
  19. You only have to download and install. It will search for DCS World absolute path.
  20. Separate shortcut? On desktop? Did You install this DCS A-10C ? http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=8&end_pos=136&lang=en If yes, in DCS World you only have to choose the rightful mission or campaign separator for singleplayer. For multiplayer you just click "Multiplayer" and enter a server that have A-10C slots available. Perhaps I'm not understanding Your point :)
  21. Hello :) It's a known problem with master server login. You can try this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1532425&postcount=21 Or You can go for the training missions/tracks and learn the systems :), while an upcoming DCS World version will hopefully solve this.
  22. This 40 bucks are paying the AFM developing for aerial weaponry, the resources manager and some airplane systems improvements. Also, it pays the F-15C cockpit and the implementation of the FC2 airplanes, including the review of SFM parameters values and landing/takeoff handling. This will improve the BVR tactics use (mainly) and mission design effect on gameplay. FC3, at the same time, is work done in the DCS fighter direction. I'm understanding that it remains to be done the work in sensors and weapons fusing models. Even if I'd love to see the Russian cockpits improvement, I understand that this and the former new features are impossible to implement with the actual timetable and budget. All at it's time.
  23. That's one aspect I like in the 51st server, the lack of kill messages. Having a kill message warning will refrain the contenders to confirm the kill with another missile or, in case of the perception of being over-matched, to go defensive, disengage and extend. Having a kill message is almost analogous to have a god-eyes radar.
