I simply landed on ALL helipads to be sure. :D Once on the correct one the CO will tell you to shut down the Huey.

Make sure you have enabled the autopilot in options/special/UH-1H.

I'm spending quite a lot of time hovering and slooowly moving around the airbase at ~3 feet. After a couple of hrs you begin to notice improvements in the way you anticipate the Huey's movements. I'm still FAR from feeling comfortable in the Huey at slow speeds but I'm getting there. What an amazing sim! :)

Make sure you didn't put the starter generator on standby by accident and that the fuel switch is on.

Been flying the Huey for about 2 hrs now. Amazing feeling of flight. Well worth the wait. Need to get back into the cockpit.

Finally! And the auto-updater runs pretty well for me (and my DSL conenction) around 300kB/s.

Just tried out the textures and am very impressed! As upupandaway wrote there is indeed a bit more noticeable tiling effect at higher altitudes but the overall increase in details more than makes up for that. Dropbox isn't suitable for this kind of traffic. It's great for sending files to a buddy or three but it won't provide the bandwith needed for dozens of us greedy leechers to get those beautiful textures. You need to upload the files to a dedicated file hoster.

What does "on hold" mean for Nevada? Has work on it stopped until EDGE is released or are they still working on both? I'm asking because a new map for DCS is the one thing I really would love to see. You know you've seen enough of the Black Sea region when you see a random DCS screenshot and think "Oh, that's south-east of Kutaisi airport, right by the hut of old Petja and his Natasha. I wonder if the dog's well again."

I was about to say: "Hey, just give me a shout and I'll give you the password for our server and let you know when we play MP again. We usually fly at least 2-3 times a week and fly coordinated missions, often with a human JTAC, are 'serious', yet relaxed people and welcome every skill level". Then, I thought, nope. I'd rather not. :music_whistling:

The logbook doesn't seem to track online stats. Would it be possible to implement that feature? I fly 90% online and it's a bit disappointing that nothing ever is recorded in the pilot's logbook I've been keeping since the earliest beta days.

I constantly need to trim (pitch as well as roll) the F-15 in FC3. I was under the impression that that shouldn't actually be necessary. I'm using a HOTAS Warthog and the stick works perfectly for everything else. Any ideas?

I haven't seen a target in DCS yet that couldn't be taken out by a pair of GBU-10s, including bunkers.
