  1. Just played around with the Viggen for an hour or two, absolutely amazing stuff! Thanks to all involved for all your hard work.

  3. 2.0 is open alpha. The Viggen will be released today on the open beta branch (1.5.6), which features the Caucasus map.

  8. Just tried OCR and Google translate with mixed results. Maybe Tornado manuals could be used. Tactics should be fairly similar.

  10. The warhead on the Rb05 is much bigger than the (early) Maverick's, 160kg vs 57 kg.

I'm looking for information on the actual tactics used by Viggens (or similar supersonic ground attack AC) during low-level attacks against naval and ground targets, especially pertaining to the use of 2-ship and 4-ship formations for squad training. Ingress/egress parameters, pop up distances, use of countermeasures, formation changes, attack distances and directions, communication etc... I appreciate any info, thanks in advance!

  14. We just did a training flight and, having not flown the Mig-21 on the NTTR map for some time, encountered this problem for the 1st time: in cockpit view in a single Mig: 80 FPS. Another player joins in a Mig next to mine, FPS drop to 20s, for him even lower (single digits). Win10, core i5 2500k@4GHz, 16 Gig RAM, GTX 760

  20. A bit more testing: attacking a realistic 3 squadron, 32 ship combat box of B-17s with the latest build is tough, very tough, as long the the formations stays together. Attack from behind and you're almost certain to get shot down. I found that the only way I could get in more than 1-2 attacks was to attack the formation head on, which seems quite realistic. If only we could get the bombers to stay in formation while firing back... I'll try Shahdoh's defense script later tonight.
  21. It's not really a mission (yet), merely a test. The combat box is "hand crafted" using single ship groups so the formation is basically restricted to flying straight ahead.
