1) about finding airfields, they are also all stored in the CDU, accessible trough searching or cycling trough available waypoints when the cdu dial is in the mission position.

Play a File When a Target is destroyed. Need a Hint
Geskes replied to H-var's topic in Mission Editor
Hmm.. looks like you have all the actions in the trigger? The way it is setup now it will do all of the actions you have once the condition is met. So yes it will play to all groups because you have defined an action to play a sound for every group that will fire in sequence once the trigger condition is true. -
dude, if you admit there is no competition then apparently DCS is the standard. If DCS is the only one how can it not live up to the standard.

I would like to share some youtubes from videos I shot during the Air Force days this weekend in the Netherlands. I only have a Panasonic travel cam and it is the first time I use it to put something on youtube so I am experimenting and every vid is with different encoding settings which is evident. The biggest mistake maybe was having vibration stabilization turned on for shooting moving objects. I have footage almost of every part of the event but this is how far I got with processing today. Here we go: Red Arrows: RAMEX Delta Mirage 2000N: Frecce Tricolori:

Yes, she is definitely a keeper! She even likes me to teach her some flying stuff every once in a while. She can taxi on the runway and take-off but after that.. well..:music_whistling:

By now, even my girlfriend asks me every day whether 'that new helicopter' is already out. Last weekend she came running into my room with the iPad because she had seen an email notification about something with a plane being available. I was so happy for a few seconds but unfortunately that turned out to be about the 64-bit version of xplane being available. Can't wait to try out the Huey!!

That is because of the increased 'F5 traffic' :D

Congrats! Hoping for many more decades of solid forum time!

These missions have balanced force ratio's. When on the assault you need either some force multipliers the enemy lacks, or you need about a 3:1 numerical advantage. That is, if you want to have a combat capable unit after the assault. So, in most CA scenarios you need to work to concentrate your forces onthe enemies weakest position. For example it means it is futile to move forward with a single armor platoon because the enemies defensive positions seem to be grouped in at least platoon size as well.

Is there a way to upgrade a home license to professional? I bought the home license some time ago, but now I really want to go Pro :) If I choose for professional it charges the full amount.

1.2.3 DSMS Loadout problem after editing mission
Geskes replied to Geskes's topic in Bugs and Problems
Yes I did use prepare mission, it was a miss-click but I did use it. Also, Ghanja, thx for the tip on deleting DSMS section in the mission file. -
Today I noticed the following: I had created a mission with a specific loadout which I flew a couple of times. Then I decided to change the loadout in the mission editor on the player a-10 to one of the default loadouts which has 4xGBU-10 and 2xAGM-65K. It shows OK in external view but the DSMS has a different loadout on mission load. Screenshots attached. The loadout shown on the DSMS is actually my wingmans loadout and is the loadout I had on my plane upon first creating the mission. Changing my loadout in the editor again doesnt fix it, I will have the selected loadout on my plane but the DSMS still shows another loadout. I can reproduce it by loading attached mission, but not by creating a new mission and choosing that same loadout or by flying and then editing it, changing the loadout, saving and reflying. So somehow the mission attached got corrupted. Nothing game-breaking here but I decided to report this anyways because potentially it could be an annoying problem if one edits missions and its loadouts occasionally. Edit: I would like to add that in the attached mission, reloading the DSMS does not load the correct loadout. After reloading the incorrect loadout will still be displayed. a10attackwarehouse.miz

CA 1.2.3 Missing Weapons Compass and detailed reticules
Geskes replied to Zaxxar's topic in Bugs and Problems
I guess your observed behaviour is normal because I have no weapon compass or complex reticule the shilka either. -
Last time around that error was produced when trying to activate the upgrade version while accidentally having downloaded the full version files. Make sure you download bs2 upgrade specifically. (Just in case)

TiR not so Pro clips, bust again
Geskes replied to Vlerkies's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Mine is completely FUBAR and is held together by tape and wire. To use it I wear a cap and slide the clip between the cap and my head. Then I put headphones on top. Looked at replacement but way too expensive. Anybody know about cheap fakes from China or something? At least the Chinese ship in gift packages instead of a box with a huge TrackIR logo attracting the attention of any customs official who will subsequently charge another 15 Euro or so on top of the 35 as import duties. -
Mini interview with Wags on rockpapershotgun site
Geskes replied to zaelu's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Matt says that developers can pick any plane they like besides some that are reserved to be developed by ED or close partners. That means someone (either ed or partner) is going to do Mig-29 because 3rd party ( razbam i thought? ) couldn't do it. Nice! -
Try here: http://www.naturalpoint.com/trackir trackIR is the best i think, also most expensive.

I was checking out if using mirrors still has a big impact on performance and then I realize something.. Did you know you can look in the mirror at yourself and that your mirror image follows your head movement? Very nice!

Your radar and launcher are not in the same group. Every unit you have in the mission is a seperate group (except for the two groups with three vulcans in it). To make it work all of the batteries elements must be in the same group. Do it like you have done with the vulcan groups.
-
Also, you need all required elements for each system in the same group, ie radar + launchers.

I am actually quite happy with the Georgia map. :D - supports historical and hypothetical east vs. west conflicts. The region has seen lots of tension irl. - supports naval combat. - has big mountain ranges for insurgency hiding places. - several countries present on map. - has cities for urban combat. - has many air bases for plenty of scenario diversity. - etc. etc. etc. Actually i think the map available now is one of the best they could have with regards to the options it offers.
