I tried this. In both sims put player craft on takeoff from runway batumi. All settings maxed and equal. I opened the detailed render data and all the values also for cockpit are roughly equal. The only BIG outlier is objects. If you look right towards downtown batumi trough the trees, the value for objects in a-10 goes to +/- 15 maximum, but in BS2 it is easily 25. That increases the value for frametime a lot hence lower fps. In any case the fps is 29 vs 22 when looking right from batumi runway and then finding the spot where fps is lowest. When you look straight ahead fps is almost equal. But straight ahead is only runway and then the sea to render. So for some reason the rendering of objects is harder for the engine in bs2 then in a-10c because (at least for me) the more stuff there is on screen the bigger the fps difference between a-10 and bs2. But I don't see why it is harder to render the objects, is the object density increased for the presets low/medium/high? I didn't notice it. At least I hope this doesnt get patched into A-10 with the new patch :)

1. The scores are percentages and they are for the entire coalitions, not for individual pilots. Pilots get score assigned for killing stuff but AFAIK you cannot control this individual pilot score. So in your example if blue coalition takes all three targets they will have +30% mission score. 2. BS2 has a live debriefing screen so I guess with new patch a-10 will have it too. You can then just press " and get a debriefing screen up till now. (while in-sim) 3. I don't know. -
If you put hdr colors on cold, it will be equal before and after alt-tab. You can also see a difference between cold/normal/warm colors before alt-tabbing. Therefor, HDR is already enabled before the Alt-Tab, but again, if you Alt-Tab back in, the game will always take the cold colors setup, regardless of what you set in options. So if you do like the colors better after Alt-Tab, just set it to cold and you won't have to Alt-Tab anymore. Personally, I like warm colors best.

I think HDR is also correct before Alt-tab only after you Alt-Tab it will always be on cold colors regardless of what setting you chose in options.

aha so that is it and that is also the no clearance thing yes, I was wondering about that too. Also because your wingman won't even do startup untill you are airborne. Thanks, mystery solved.

I was having problems with Vikhr Guidance in a campaign mission, I tried engaging a target with vikhr but the missiles didnt guide they just slammed into the ground in front of me. So then I think ok, I messed up my vikhr setup so lets send wingman in. But also his missiles do not guide and miss the target. I saved the track, took control a couple of times but never got actual guiding vikhrs. Strange because I didnt have this problem before. I even took control right after the replay started. Couldn't get guiding vikhrs. So then I just restarted the entire campaign mission. No guidance on the vikhrs. I start a different mission and I have guidance on the Vikhrs. So I don't know what is going on but on the mission 'Poke in the Eye' I cannot get guiding vikhrs. There is a track of the mission I have attached where you can take control, start up your aircraft like you normally would and find that the vikhrs will not guide. Neither will those of your wingman. I am flying trough the new campaign, it is very nice. Flying is much more fun now, indeed more immersive. It is definitely a must have if you fly the shark, the experience is so much better. Too bad you cannot setup a fac for ka-50, it is in the GUI manual but you cannot select it in the avtual editor. -
Did you guys ever notice in WH that the Batumi Harbor area has moving cranes..?! Batumi area is great from helicopter perspective (except on fps counter :D)

Mavs wont lock on anymore when overheating. Doesntt happen right after 30 mins but at some point they will stop working correctly.

I did a tube on this somewhere in beta 2 or 3. Its crappy, but all my tubes are crappy.

I've found the paddle switch to be the best modifier on the WH stick. It is not mapped to anything by default and very easy to operate.

As far as I have understood, no, it was removed because of a contract issue. You never know though.

I kind of rushed this out because I wanted to have a new mission to fly with the squad but didnt have very much time to build. So from what I have heard it is very unclear what the hell is going on with all the text and radio triggers. Big drawback I know for sure is that battle progress is not monitored and you get no fail messages but you can win the mission if you support armor sufficiently and your coalition captures Beslan airport. Will list here the calls and their purpose: - Warthog flight is GO! This will set in motion the AI advance and will send in the Tornado SEAD flight. From here on you have no control for some time over when the AI will advance. A good timing is to do it at waypoint 2, which is also marked as REPORT GO for the lead aircraft (having assumed he would also be host). That way, when you arrive the high threat air defences will have been cleared. Uzi flight cleared into the area. Weapons Free, engage at will. This is for clearing in the pair of F-16s, Uzi1, that operational command was able to arrange for you last-minute and is announced in one of the texts. Flank element, start your advance As stated in briefing doc, you can decide when the element that is on the right flank starts their advance. If you try to synchronize this so they are in synch (ie, on 1 line) with the main element you will do max damage. This will become available once the main element starts advancing. Charlie push to consolidation This is to move the battlegroup Charlie towards the consolidation or next staging line across the river for the second assault. It becomes available once the first stage of the assault is announced complete. Charlie push to objective This is to start the second attack, which is on the primary objective of beslan airport. It is an extra delay because usually you will need to land somewhere and reload for second part. It becomes available once battlegroup charlie has arrived on the consolidation line / staging line for 2nd assault. Uzi3, We NEED you, Scramble and engage at will, Line 2 This is for activating the preplanned Apache CAS callsign Uzi3. This will be available after the start of second assault. For the artillery there are 4 preplanned firezones, Line 1 East and West, being east and west side of enemy first line of defense, Line 2 East and West, same but for 2nd line of defense. For the other messages if there are any references to PRIOX then they are referring to one of the preplanned target points that are available in the CDU. It is advisable to divide all these preplanned targets among flight members before take-off / during the briefing. I will work on making this more playable.

Added 2 player coop, day and night. Added some extra targets. Wasnt able to test it with clients myself yet so if you decide to fly it and find that the AI doesnt take off or similar MP related issues occur, let me now and I'll fix it. Original mission runs in release, only on closing the mission you'll get a lua error. Same holds true for the coops as they are edited from the original. Let me know on issues.

Updated to run in release version of DCS Warthog. Changes: * Client frequencies. * Tanker now starts in pattern over your base because he didnt take off anymore. Also prevents the potential crashes into the mountain / ground. * Added some clouds because they look cool now in the dark :) EDIT: Forgot to attach, its really there now :)

Counting all the hours of entertainment, immersion, and what not I have already enjoyed from this product over the past months I have already passed other releases by miles or maybe lightyears I should say per dollar spent. It is a one time investment that will stay with you for years. Not as other entertainment titles that are good for 8-10 hours untill you complete the storyline and never touched again. PS If it about current financial climate then considering relatively low value of USD it should be more expensive in USD, not less if you want the same return in other currencies. :P Nice first post :music_whistling:
