This certainly is an interesting product - with the TM Warthog Hotas, Cougar MFD's and the Buddy Fox UFC - you're in a good shape to take control of an A-10C. Will be my next controller purchase for sure :thumbup:

Why not? If nothing else, it's about the personal preference - not all of us agree that more modern is always more preferable. There's always the 'big picture' of what other planes are available - but making even a single module is such a big undertaking that I really can't see dev teams basing their planes choices on simply what everyone else is doing. Me personally, I love all the cold war stuff.

Your friends are right :D A-10C is just completely different beast from A-10A. It can do down & dirty ground attacks - but the actual strength lies within the targeting pod and being able to deliver ordance with pinpoint accuracy from higher altitudes. HOTAS system is fairly complicated - but once you get it figured out, it's very versatile. I'd say the only thing against A-10C - which strangely enough is one of it's strong points too - that it is slow. And it feels even more so after a module such as the Viggen... :megalol: But as an answer to your question - you feel more interested towards the L-39, so I think that's the only correct choice in this situation :)

No need for countermeasures then - to make it bit more exciting, huh? :D But I get what you mean - I try to stay out of trouble but the times I've managed to dodge a SAM has been quite exhilirating. About the CM dispense switch still - it adds to the confusion that the switch in the cockpit is incorrect one. So using the INT / KONT / OFF switch via the keyboard commands (which is the correct switch) seems to be doing different thing than activating the switch in the cockpit with the mouse. Probably why the animation doesn't work with the keyboard commands either.

With the amount of bug fixes you're putting out for the Viggen - in the midst of all the Tomcat maddness - it's hard to be mad about it -- but man, the patch notes not matching up with the actual content of the patch has become somewhat more of a trend in the past month :helpsmilie: I'm still waiting last month's stuff for the stable, but I am quite unsure what the patch will actually include... well I guess it will be a (hopefully pleasant) surprise :music_whistling:

I couldn't say - I fly at the treetops and I am more worried about a random IR missile/SAM. :joystick:

I only use 'Fast Countermeasure Dispense' -button, it's just easier - but most importantly it's the only way to use flares.

Just to clarify - as there is no mention - but the Viggen bug fixes & feaures that were supposed to be in the current stable DCS 2.5.3.23225 but were not, are now included in this latest beta? And they will go to the stable build... this friday?

Viggen is great. At a first glance it might feel like one trick pony but it's far from it - it has nice mix of weapons & pods that allow for many different kinds of missions. And the way Viggen does it's stuff is highly enjoyable - low, fast, precise. It's a perfect blend of old-school with hi-tech (for the time) computer helping you out with navigation, weapon delivery etc. Very fun to fly - but also very different feel than F-5E. But I would re-consider A-10C too. Sure, it's very deep & complicated module when you really get into it - but getting started with gun, rockets & basic CCIP bombing with dumb bombs is relatively easy. Plus it has tons of campaigns available once you get the hang of it.

You need to edit / make a new monitor lua file. Here's something to get you started https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60815. Might feel more intimidating at first than it actually is - but it's not too bad once you get the idea and do a little bit of research.

I got the same problem. HUD directs me to pop up point (U5) nicely - but does not switch to next waypoint (M5) automatically. I was flying around in Nevada. And it also seemed that even if I changed the waypoint manually to Target Point, HUD was still trying to direct me to the Pop up point. The yellow bracket in the compass was showing the right direction to the target point, though. Will test some more, I was busy evading SAM's & enemy Migs so I might be wrong on that last one...

You mean if the game 'knows' at which state the switch is - on or off? With Leo Bodnar, no. But if there are separate keyboard commands for on and off, then you can make it work pretty close to it (ie. flipping the switch atleast once will make it 'correct' always). Not sure if it's something you can make work with Arduino.

Not really, haven't seen the bug since. But I also haven't done any naval missions recently and I've used manual fixes only.
