  1. Cliffs of Dover, IL2'46, DCS, RoF, SF2, Formula One 2011, ArmA 1-3, Falcon BMS... All these games are running on my System with the Warthogstick. Dont you ever dare to think a X52 could keep by any meqns up with the quality of the Hotas TM. X52 uses springs and other mechanical components which are ageing and generate permanent inputsignals. Next to this you only have one throttle, showstopper for asymetric thrust flights. Dont get me wrong, the X52 is good for starters and in many terms better than the lowcost models out there. But at one point in your life, when you want to push your hobby to the next lvl, tir, a better stick and rudder pedsare becoming absolutely mandatory.

  3. You can use 2 achsis for zooming. One achsis actual zooms, so you will see also objects on the ground better and it increases hud size. The other one shifts the virtual head back and forth. You will most likely have to use both. The zoomachsis to zoom in and the shift achsis to shift a bit back, for not loosing situal awareness in the cockpit. Check the controlinputoptions.
  4. Especially the part from 08:50 till 11:22 is one of the best combinations of music and videofootage i've ever seen. The scenes contribute perfectly to the soundtrack and the radiosounds are adding great immersion and everything aims to build up multiple climaxes (the one at 10:13 is the greatest of the whole movie in my opinion). Very well done!
  5. Problem on your side. Did you turn engines of? Did you warp? On a laggy Server, where the server permanently thinks you are in motion, you wont get anything. We experienced this also. But under stable conditions we could load many su33 simultaneously on the carrier. So try to reduce the probability of warps. Warps occure if there are many planes flying and they get worse if they are shooting missiles (also sam raise the probability) Thats because the paths and fm of the missiles and the same things for the planes must be sent to the server and all clients at the same time. The current netcode doesnt get this handled well, therefore the game makes guesses and predicts where everyone will be if there is no movement. But because there is, you might end with planes climbing from 0 to 10km in one second (which kills your radarlock on top of all) Maybe this will eventually be resolved, if they can optimise the datapackages transmitted between clients and server but the current problems are experienced since loconrelease in the early 2000s. But back to topic, it is possible to rearm a whole flight on the carrier, if their engines are turned off.

  7. The possibility to change defaultpayload for playeraircraft in quickmissiongenerator would be nice. Right now FC planes like Mig29 or Su27 spawns guns only per default, you always have to adjust the payload through mission planner. It would be nice if we could skip this step by chosing before generating the mission if we want to engage air to air, mixed or air to ground and receive some defaultpayloads for this.
  8. You could turn on the inverter before switching on the battery. This would be the common work around.
  9. And furthermore you seem to never looked at the code behinde pokemon. This game is incredible complex designed with lots of hidden values for each mon, making each pokemon unique, giving them something like DNA so you can breed special skilled pokemon if you take your time (used for championships). It even drastically matters what pokemon you battle in order to raise specific statvalues and finaly form the mon you want and need. This is far from lame ,its very complex and also balanced. (And i didn't even start to talk about the damagecalculation). You shouldn't missjudge it because many children plays it, most of them will never comprehend the idea behind the whole system. But if you know about this, you can even as an adult get more than enough fun out of theese games. So don't underestimate Pokemons nor should you do so for the F16. Btw my choice was. F14, hopefully D configuration. Like Hornet you can go A2A, A2G and perform carrier ops plus! You have 2 seats, great fun for coops.
  10. Crashes occure to some more frequent than to others. So don't miss the fact that the're enough people who can spent various hours flying without getting disconnected so dont drive this multiplayer is implayable thing too far. Otherwise one could think that there is no activity at all and that would be far away from reality. Dont get me wrong, i highly support the efforts of increasing stability, providing dedicated server files for win and unix and reducing lags/warps when multiple missiles are launched but i dislike the idea of keeping non multiplayerrelated content in favour of ab big major release. Maybe cooking the MP Code anew parallel to the other gamechanges especially if they are not related to eachother, would be a nice step (at least if it is possible to exclude these things and develope them seperately)
  11. The worst thing they could do. This idea smacks directly in the faces of almost all squadrons out there. The release of Fc3, merging A10 with FC and BS was most important event for the whole DCS World in terms of squadronbased multiplayer so far. A rollback would cause an uproar for shure.
  12. Really? You would wait for the better Su27 model any longer? In my opinion they should toss out at least the model and if already finished the 3d pits, a lot of us are eager to fly the su but dont like close formationflying with the actual model. And modding is not really an option with the patch around the corner.

  14. The F15 wouldn't spawn, think logically. Imagine they would, let someone with F3 join the Server and pick an Eagle. What should happen? Should he get moved in the F15 already flown by the KI and start midair? Or should the already flying plane be moved back to the airfield instantly? No, the planes won't appear at all, unless picked by some players - NO AI will take them! A workaround without spending too much time would be to create the AI flight but trigger him only to appear as long as no human controlled F15 is on the map.
  15. You have the wrong idea of the sentence is meant. You should read it that way: The RWR indicates a radarsignal hitting you regardless if it is friend or foe, there is no filtering of friendly units therefore.
  16. Exactly, rebooting the weaponssystem does only help if you got the error for alt tabbing.
  17. @wingshigh: In FC3 you only need to open the radiomenue, press F5 and select the proper airfield and announce the ready for taxi/takeoff or startup. In Bs or A10 you would have to setup the correct airfieldfrequencies. If you ask for taxi, the tower will tell you which runway to choose. (he will tell you a two digitsnumber which are the first two digits of the course, so 24 would be hdg 240 and 01 would be 10) But there won't be any advices which will guide you to the runway so make yourself familiar with the airfieldlayout and know how to reach the right side of the runway. For landing you just have to call inbound and the tower will talk you to the ILS turning point. @lumpypilot: If there is a hole in the runway they will divert you to the other base, right. I would suggest you check per map your distance to the diversionbase. There is a rulerlike tool, which provides you heading and range to the field. Alternately you can select the airfield through the radiomenue and call the inbound. Again they will guide you to their ILS turningpoint. (where you would have to turn into the runway) Another idea would be to check preflight where the field is located, fly (following the waypoints) to your normal airfield and then head to the diversionbase by just remembering where it was. You should be able to find it that way and if you are close you can just cycle through the airports in ILS-Navmode and take the one which has the closest range (should be somewhere around 0-2nm) That way you will be able to get the ILS Steerbars.

If you contact Tower they tell you the desired runway AND they guide you to the point where the ILS will start guiding you by saying something like "fly heading xxx for yyy". xxx would be the heading and yyy the range in miles. Taht "go to alternate" i never experienced so far (and i fly these sims for almost a decade now O.o) If there is some traffic they would tell you that you have to orbit, to turn cycles until they are free to handle you. But that doesn't affect the ILS in general, you still can land with ILS on your own without even noticing the tower beforehand. If you already know the direction. Let me recommend this app for you: http://simhq.com/_mobile/mobile_001a.html There every airfield is listed with all frequencies, runway and ILS directions and even pictures of the airportlayout. By pressing F10 und centering the map on your plane (even if there are no symbols) you get your position and so you can also get the names of the airfields next to your location. Then simply check the availability and direction of ILS in the app. You wont need to inform the tower then. Its not nice to land without noticing them but hey, it's only KI and you are flying offline, it's a crime without any victims ;)
  19. There is a button which switches through the waypoints. If you are in ILS Mode the same button will switch through the different airports. The F15 and A10a won't show you any hints of which airfield is selected though. All you can do is to check heading and range (shown in HUD and HSI) to guess what airfield you have selected. Don't forget to inform the Tower via Radio that you are inbound. They will tell you what direction you have to use for landings. If you land from the opposite direction, no ILS will appear and keep in mind that not every airport aupports ILS so you should consider to switch to an other airfield. Also you should tell us which plane you are flying. The russian fastmovers have some optical supporters in NAV mode giving you somewhat of a tactical view. (But i guess you are flying an F15?)
  20. It does work. Sounds more like the mission doesn't support it. The carrier has to be an assigned warehouse.
