You can use the HSi using the RSBN whitout any station selected. Example: set RSBN channel 1 or any channel without signal. In the Caucasus you have 36 empty RSBN channel in the selector Set approximate distance with the distance selector Set approximate heading with the azimuth selector. Now you have distance and heading (approximate) to any point you want. And yes, real RSBN works in this way in manual mode. Regards.

Tested! Senaki inner is below the minimum frequency of the RKL-41 ADF receiver (150khz) so no signal available. Thanks for your videos John!

John, I have no problems with the ndb. Even in Batumi, in the RWY, I can hear the first NDB (870khz) and have a full strength signal.
-
Sorry, It's Maykop not Mozdok the other aerodrome with only one RWY with precision aproach. Apologizes.
-
Yes. Like the Mozdok RWY22.
-
Ok. So minimum wind speed is 3m/s. Thanks!

No Cibit. Channel preset are for the R-832M As you can see in the ME, Krasnodar AFB only has PRMG in RWY09 (blue arrow) like Mozdok AFB, like the manual says. The important setting is the weather like Tekrc says. Don't compare nav systems of the L-39 with the simple solution that LNS makes for the 21. Sorry for my English.

SDU enabled? For the 21, well, the developers choose "casual style of navigation" not a real one as the 39 depicts. I have no problems landing in RWY09 with PRMG indications. EDIT: Are you sure that RWY09, the only with PRMG, is the active RWY? Here is a simple mission with a L-39 in Krasnodar with RWY09 as the active RWY.

Yes Uboats, but you don't have ILS, VOR, TACAN and VORTACS in every airport in the world. The perfect solution will be to have the ability to setup a RSBN and/or a PRMG mobile station in the ME like an option ("Deployment option") Objects that are present in the core files of the program. It's the implementation of the navigation systems the thing that is wrong. In the ED implementation if a beacon is destroyed you can't navigate with their help, but having an XYZ point system wherever you want in the map (even in the middle of the sea) without anything associated and a strange ARK-10 (72 presets instead of 17 and the inability to use the inner-outer selector for an easier navigation) is something that I would like to be improved in the medium term. Navigation systems are one of the weakest points in this module. I can navigate across Georgia with the L-39C and the MiG-15 using NDB stations and airports beacons. And yes, there were others RSBN in the area along with PRMG in the former airbases. There were deactivated to setup standard VOR and ILS systems. As you said, if the systems are well simulated I don' mind to have the former beacons. Sorry for my English. Regards.

You could use ndb stations defined in te ME like the MiG-15. 17 presets AFAIK: 9 in the pushbottoms and the rest in the "zone selector". You can change between them with the "inner-outer" selector (not functional in the implementation that we have now. The RSBN stations are defined in the ED files and maybe ED can considerer have them "available for the user" as you have said.

There is no RSBN/ARK implementation in the MiG-21. Only a "pseudo-navigation system" based on an external .lua file that have XYZ coordinates. With this "pseudo-system" you could fly in any map, no matter if the map doesn´t have an NDB or RSBN/PRMG system. I hope that they implement a real Soviet navigation like the one that we have in the L-39 in the medium term. Regards.

No problem at Krasnodar. Remember that Krasnodar only allows PRMG landings on RWY09. You can see it in the editor. If you are directed to landing on RWY27, you don´t have PRMG aid for landing.

Sukhumi: 3540 meters - elevation 12 meters

Yes, it is a bug in the ME that shows 1050khz as 1.1mhz Novorossyk doesn´t have any beacon because is a closed aerodrome. Sukhumi has 995khz (morse code A) and 489 (morse code AV) Regards

Could it be possible to have this option in the ME like in the MI-8 and the KA-50? And in the KA-50, it would be great to have the ability to setup in the ME the ARK-22 like in the MiG-15 and the associated ARK-5. It would be great thinking in future maps and their associated NDB, if available. Thanks for all your work in the 1.5.

In the LNS MiG-21 all the electronic and navigation suite is their weakest part. They choose not to use the files that exists from the 1.2.X oldest version (with all the necessary things coded and ready to use) an simply put an XYZ file. The L-39 depicts the navigation suite as is in the real thing. PRMG is only for military planes and airbases and RSBN and VOR-VORTAC are incompatible. In Georgia, the RSBN stations were changed for VOR stations after the breakup of the USSR. I hope LNS update the nav suite in the medium term to have an accurate representation of the system like the L-39 has. Sorry for my english.

When one training mission is selected and launched, the music theme of the Main Screen never ends. Launching any other type of mission makes the music theme stops as intended.

In 1.5 the VOR LOS is still reversed. I have signal with a mountain between me and the beacon but no signal with a clean LOS. And , can we get the ability to setup the UHF presets in the editor like the Hip and the KA-50? Thanks! Edit : sorry for the error in the title, is "reversed". Any moderator can change it?

EFM IS NOT the same as PFM. EFM is the designation for a "External Flight Model". A Flight Model not designed by ED or BST. An External Flight Model could be as advanced as the developer want or can do with the tools and information available. As an example, the C-101 and the Hawk. Both have an EFM that is at the level of the SFM. In future updates, this EFM could be updated to a AFM/PFM acording to the developers. But these model will be always an EFM (EXTERNAL FLIGHT MODEL) like the LNS models or any other 3rd developer.

The RV-7/RV-10 bug posted above can be resolved with the edition of the clickcabledata.lua. Line 350: elements["PNT_197"] = default_2_position_tumb(LOCALIZE("Radio / Compass"),devices.RADIO, device_commands.RadioCompassSound,197) Line 371: elements["PNT_208"] = default_2_position_tumb(LOCALIZE("ARK Mode - Antenna / Compass"),devices.ARK, device_commands.ARKantenaCompass,208) With this change the ARK "Radio/Compass" (RV7 Radio/Compass) selector is functional. The Radio/ADF of the R-802V it is not functional due to implementation of the ADF Radio signal like the R-800L1 of the KA-50 and the R-863 of the Mi-8 Sorry for my english.

The LN MIG-21bis allows you to create a “navigation aid” in an XYZ point wherever you want, with the morse code you want. It isn´t tied to the reference beacons and systems of the LUA that DCS World have. For example you can put a PRMG in the water or in the top of a mountain, or a NDB in the middle of the Black Sea. For now only the ED and Belsimtek modules use the reference beacons coded in the reference LUA´s. I hope that a proper navigation system will be implemented in the LNS MiG-21bis in a medium term with the corrections in the Radio, ARK and RSBN systerms to match with the real systems that the Fishbed has. Sorry for my english.

Like I said, I hope these will be fixed in a medium term. About the RP-22. It´s the implementation of the fixed beam and the Grom, and ECCM maybe it´sovermodeleded for an early '70 radar set. NWS, flight model and engine model, are "WiP" as the developers said, and we have an "interin solution" for now. I expect to have these ítems solved in a 1.5/+1.5 patch. R-3 IR and ASP implemetation: no moving ASP circle for the A-A missiles, performances like the AIM-9B or 9P, no "all aspect" capability. RSBN and PRMG are modelled as a "RSBNPRMG point in a XYZ space". These sistems are independent and are implmeneted by ED in the Beacons.lua file like the real ones with asociated objects and real frequencies. For now it´s like having a "TACANILS" for the A-10C with an only frequency, and without and asociated object. Sorry for my english. Tarres

The "game features" or "concessions for the gameplay" are: .- the nose Wheel sterring .- engine scripted in the edge of the flight envelope. .- flight scripted in the edge of the flight envelope. .- radio based in the TF-51D set (you can see it in the lua file) No UHF range of frequencies, no UHF frequencies. .- RSBN and PRMG implementation. .- ARK-10 implementation (17 presets chanels in the real one, 72 in the LN implementation) and radionavigation in general. .- Radar features: ECCM, fixed beam... .- Weapons: overmodeled R-3 types, both IR and SARH .- ASP implementation. I hope that it will be corrected in the 1.5 and post 1.5 patches. Regards.
