  1. Not an expert, but if you have access to another running system(a friends perhaps) could you perhaps repair the windows install with the windows ISO on a usb. Windows 10 or 11? Win11 https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-perform-a-repair-upgrade-using-the-windows/35160fbe-9352-4e70-9887-f40096ec3085 Win10 Good Luck.
  2. I saw the video of the Armée de l'Air inviting Charles Leclerc to fly in the 2 seat Rafale. I thought that the Rafale would look great in a certain shade of red. His name was Perceval Just a thought.
  3. Fair enough. Those Tamiya 1/32nd kits really look lovely. They look to assemble so well. Edit: I hope that the DH.103 sells well for this team.
  4. The dies are being cut. Looks great to me. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235111713-132-de-havilland-dh103-hornet-sea-hornet-by-db-model-kits-dbmk-in-design3d-rendersschemesbox-arttest-parts/page/2/
  5. Ultra 7 265k review. Includes MSFS.
  6. Formation flying(Who would risk anything else?) Engine start at 1:50 Enjoy
  7. Before doing anything maybe do a system restore point? https://www.tomshardware.com/software/windows/microsoft-backports-branch-prediction-improvements-to-windows-11-23h2-more-users-will-see-ryzen-performance-improvements I've read good and bad, some people seeing good numbers, others having crashes. This fix is one example.
  8. Being on a budget, I have decided that a wooden box that I can add weights to(heavy books or weights) is the way to go. I'm trying to avoid slouching my right shoulder. Finding a box of the correct height is the trick. Attach joystick to top Finally you have to scoot forward on the seat, so you will need a firm foam pillow or firm foam the size of your seat back to support your back and maintain posture. This is how I plan to try at least.
  9. You may find these videos from hardware unboxed helpful. They have more, but I will link 2. I've been reading some Asus forums, and I think Asrock has been doing better than the main company. At least for now. Yes to a 2 tb drive. Between DCS, and another flight sim, my SSD is getting full. Very nice work on the cockpit.
  10. *IF* you are looking at B650 boards, Hardware unboxed did a lot of testing of boards. Looks like a number of the ASROCK boards did ok. There is a lot of testeing, I think most people skip to the conclusion sections. Look in this link for the different test videos. https://www.youtube.com/@Hardwareunboxed/search?query=b650 I am not sure which boards will work with ddr5 if you are going that route. Also which boards will support AM5. Amd announced AM5 socket support to 2027 which could save some $ allowing you to get a better faster CPU and use it with the AM5.
  11. Saw this on reddit. Not every Raptor lake is affected. To quote: "13th and 14th core generation with an actual Raptor Lake die are potentially affected" https://www.reddit.com/r/intel/comments/1edhm93/raptor_lake_degradation_issue_rpldie_faq_10/ There are vids on yt as well. If I understood things correctly Intel will release a microcode patch mid august. No idea what the MB makes are doing? I hope that for anyone having trouble that Intel steps up and helps you all out.
  12. Hardware unboxed did 3 reviews on B650 boards. Perhaps these will help?
  13. Yeah after that video I wont look at the Ursa.
  14. https://www.bilibili.com/read/cv34560528/ You made need to translate it. Take a look.
  15. So looks another chip maker/mb maker disconnect? video by buildzoid, GN, HUB etc have done videos as well. Buildzoid looked at various mb on his channel. Considering the cost of cpu, mb, why cant intel and amd get their acts into gear?
  16. Looks great. The Academy looked good to me but the GWH looks to take 1st place. A whole wack of pictures here: https://www.hyperscale.com/2024/reviews/kits/gwhl4829previewjh_1.htm
  17. You keep the twist axis as well. Thanks to the person who posted this. https://www.printables.com/model/805445-t16000m-extension-all-axis

  18. What are people thinking about the Sony PSVR2? Sony announced PC compatibility was coming but not sure how or when? Sony screwed up initially locking it to PS5 I remember that IVRY was doing a lot of work to adapt the PSVR2 for PC. I think that the ivry dev is a member here? Would be nice to hear from from him if so. https://www.roadtovr.com/report-psvr-2-wired-pc-vr-support/amp/ I would seriously consider a PSVR2 so as not to meta anything. But that is just me.
  19. Just in case(you probably already know) But MS is deprecating WMR by 2025/2026? There are threads here. When I saw the G2 mentioned, I thought it best to pipe up.
  20. Thanks for that. I just had a thought that it should be easier for us to determine if these sticks will work for us. I know we dont all have the same size hands, but there must be minimum hand sizes that the designers know will and wont work. Test the sticks on the factory office people and make a size database. Not that hard.
  21. Yes I did a quick search. I am looking into better joysticks. Edit: I cant be this bad a pilot, it must be the stick. J/K Hand size is Width 4" or 101mm Length 7.25" or 184.15mm I've read a few posts on various sites and keep reading the Alpha is for medium large and the MCG is slightly better for small hands. The logitec 3d and T16000 both fit my hand if this helps. Anyone out there with hands roughly the size of mine have either of these sticks? I'd appreciate hearing from you. Thanks for reading.
  22. For those that have a concern(like me) https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2024/02/meta-will-start-collecting-anonymized-data-about-quest-headset-usage/ So that leaves the PSVR2(wonder how Ivry is doing?) and Pico4 as options?
  23. These folks are pretty good. All while dressed as some our fave robots.
  24. Maybe someone who is a member here could write a letter to the EU explaining just whats happening and how much E waste this is going to create? https://www.europarl.europa.eu/forms/en/ask-ep
  25. Thanks everyone. I've very slowly been making some headway. So all your advice is helping. In the F-18 training missions, I can land on the runway at around 130ish. NP. I can maintain the doughnut at 8.1 now, but carrier still giving me a migraine. A few things: I am coming in too flat. Tying to break that habit. I made a mission with the carrier straight ahead(though I have to adjust for the angle deck.) Yes one of those miles away approaches. I may have set the fuel too low as when I get around 150 she starts to climb? Approx weight is 30000lbs. Clean bird. Wind is set at Zero for this but I've noticed that she slowly keeps moving to the right or left even with wings level. I've neutralized the bank I think when I adjust. I should check my joystick settings. Or see if I need a new joystick. VKB/Virpil here I come! j/k I've experienced the Burble coming in at around 130 pushing me to the left. Thanks everyone for the advice. I will keep trying.
