F-22A Raptor mod enhancement mod
AngleOff66 replied to Nightstorm's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
It was just a matter of time: -
Take a look at these for now. Saw a suggestion that it needs trimming for now. No idea if correct: "This plane definitely needs you to properly bind and tune axis and fly with a steady hand, you can't throw it around like you would the F-16. 1Bind the following axes• PITCH (DEADZONE AT 4, SATURATION X AT 100, SATURATION Y AT 100, CURVATURE AT 10)• ROLL (DEADZONE AT 4, SATURATION X AT 100, SATURATION Y AT 100, CURVATURE AT 10)• RUDDER (DEADZONE AT 0, SATURATION X AT 100, SATURATION Y AT 100, CURVATURE AT 10" Startup starts around 1:10 Bombing in 60 Seconds Sidewinder and guns

VSN flyable aircraft mods
AngleOff66 replied to razo+r's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
Found this post on yt comments section Thanks to the OP if it works. Cold start Procedure (found out by trial and error): 1. ground power 2. connect ground air 3. apply ground air 4. left & right generator both on Ext (right horizontal panel) 5. booster pumps left & right (left horizontal panel behind throttle) 6. Left Engine Master Switch On (left horizontal panel on the right of the throttle) 7. Engine Start selector to the Left (same panel), wait for the engine to spool up 8. request again to Apply ground air 9. Right Engine Master Switch On (left horizontal panel on the right of the throttle) 10. Engine Start selector to the Right (same panel), wait for the engine to spool up 11. Set both generator switches to On 12. disconnect ground air & power 13. Set Engine Start selector to Neutral Good to go! Greetz, "Vinchante" @VincentSmit I think the mod could be a bit more refined, but, I am glad to have it. Thanks VSN for all your work. Edit: here is another post suggesting axis tuning. No idea if correct: This plane definitely needs you to properly bind and tune axis and fly with a steady hand, you can't throw it around like you would the F-16. 1Bind the following axes• PITCH (DEADZONE AT 4, SATURATION X AT 100, SATURATION Y AT 100, CURVATURE AT 10)• ROLL (DEADZONE AT 4, SATURATION X AT 100, SATURATION Y AT 100, CURVATURE AT 10)• RUDDER (DEADZONE AT 0, SATURATION X AT 100, SATURATION Y AT 100, CURVATURE AT 10 -

RTX 4070 Ti DCS Benchmarks

According to what I read on their site, Babel tech plans to review the 4070 TI in VR later this month. Guess we will have to be patient. At least something is coming. -
AMD 7 series X3D announced

Oh good point about the CCD vcache. Hopefully someone at AMD is testing this with a demanding game, and talking to Microsoft BEFORE they go on sale. Important to wait on reviews for sure. -

If you're running a 7900XT(X)...
AngleOff66 replied to EightyDuce's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Wow what a quarter for AMD. MB prices hurting CPU sales, VR drivers and now this(if that is what it is). If I was in charge at AMD, I would be looking at my management teams very carefully. Fish rots from the head first. Re the card flip, within these chambers and pipes does the cooling fluid in them re liquefy after shutting down and letting the card cool? If so, I'd remount my card vertically if that was an option. As for AMD waiting for RMA, every person that doesnt because they didnt hear about it/didnt register is one less card replace and $$ saved for AMD. Der8auer must know that. Anyone want to bet the 4080 price may go up a bit more now? Just my two cents. -
Not to push it, but we will need a racetrack for the tractor races. Something with a long tunnel like Monaco? Also if there is a tractor template we could do racing team skins. I wonder how tractors handle elevation changes? But thank you so much for the Lancaster.

I thought that this was interesting. The card seems to perform well in VR in Linux? If so, someone at AMD needs to give their head a shake. Link shows VR performance charts in Linux. https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/zwyton/proof_7900xtx_vr_issues_are_due_to_a_driver/?sort=new

IMHO it has been a bit of a roller coaster for AMD the last little bit. The 58003XD being very popular but latest CPU didn't sell as well, mainly I think because of the M/B costs. Yeah I know that they cost more to make. Now this possibly/probably buggy release that is also priced too high IMO. I thought that the design would help reduce costs by having a better yield providing a better opportunity to be more competitive. I understand that eventually they had to come to the market with the gpu, but I feel that while they have hit the dart board, they have missed the bullseye. This was a very good chance to make some inroads on nvidia mindshare, They keep this up and Intel will catch and maybe pass them in another few years. Possibly sooner. I really did not want to wait another generation. Sigh. Just my 2 cents. Not valid on any day ending in a Y. Edit a few typos. -

i was was wondering how much of an improvement would we see in VR with the display port ? Dont think there are any DP hmds are there? The amd cards look to fit a number of cases. Wendell makes a nice build in Fractal 7 mini -
