So the easiest solution seems to be just download OB as my second install, keep them separate except to initially copy all the saved games folders to the new (OB) install?

Been running the utility since the beginning. My only version is stable in slot 1. So I can convert that no problem? Unfortunately am traveling and won’t be back to my computer til next week. Will check then. thanks guys!

How do I convert Stable to OB?

That brings up another question. What if I just run the updater and install OB over the existing stable build. That would probably wipe out everything, tho?

OK, Thanks! I know it’s for another day but wouldn’t logbook, input settings, etc be copied from the saved games folders. Also #2, when running the Updater can I not synch the settings between the 2 versions? also, is it possible to use the stable saved games for OB?

This is getting tough for this old brain! So if I understand, if I do a complete install of OB from DCS and install alongside the stable versions in main and saved games. Load the OB into Updater, say, slot 2 then copy all the saved games data to the new OB and since I will be using same settings for both, should be good, right? not sure what the dcs.variant.txt does for me

Or…instead of copying, just download OB from DCS, load it into Updater, then copy saved games?

When you say copy the stable version to where I want the OB, do you mean on my C drive or in Updater. Sorry for being dense

So maybe I’m over thinking this but….. Do a full download/install of OB; add to slot 2 of the Updater; then will the Updater take care of copying settings, keybinds, etc. or do I manually copy the stable saved games folder to OB?

Hey All, I’ve been playing DCS for a little over a year now and using the Updater Great Utility!! Have been working just the stable version loaded into slot 1 Planning on getting into multiplayer and want to use Open Beta as well Both versions would have exactly the same settings Can someone walk me thru how to get this done? Or is it pretty easy and intuitive?? Thanks in advance!

Have had my Jetseat for about a year now and just recently my #4 transducer/vibrator stopped working. Is there a fix for this? Thanks

Checked and none of the game modes were ever ticked. Still can’t figure out, as I’ve flown other missions successfully, why the designers would load up the Apache in that OAT to make it within 1000# of MGW. Tried numerous times to hover and transition and i over Q’d every time.

Recently trying the Mariana and Nevada cold start missions. Tried everything but I couldn’t get the Apache above 5’ without over torquing and sinking. What am I doing wrong? Checked the Mission editor and it’s hot and the helo is pretty heavy. Is this right?

I am also having this issue with the G2. Is it a common problem or are we stuck with this? Judging from the number of posts in some way relating to this, seems to be a bug that needs to be fixed. Would love to have it operate separately as the kneeboard.

Hi All, Just wanted to weigh in….I just recently downloaded the Apache and just today was experimenting with George. Like AndyLad701, AI worked fine in Pilot’s seat but was basically inop from the CPG seat. At first, there was no display but I could command pilot actions and he would respond, but every time I tried I would get some different issue. At one point would only act on CMWS commands. Last time I tried it in VR, I got the display but it was attached to the bottom of my HMD. Was going to try a repair but looks like that is ineffective. Ideas?? Thanks!
