  1. I also wonder what the purpose of the button is. Having several on/off buttons for one and the same thing makes no sense to me.
  2. We created a small benchmark track for our VR workshop at the Open Flight School. We simply run it through and measure with CapFrame. This allows us to see exactly where the bottleneck is and what happens when we change the settings.
  3. I wanted to stay with Mbuccia Quad View / TallyMouse Companion because there are no settings for focus size and foveate / peripheral resolution in DCS. Now that I have switched on QV and eye tracking in DCS, things are working better again. Unfortunately, not quite like before. I'll keep testing...
  4. It's Single Player on Caucasus with a TF-51, a short go around as a track file (our benchmark, so both screen shots show the same track). But it's even worse on Marian Island.
  5. First impression: My VR performance is broken. Screens after / before DCS Single Player Caucasus AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D GeForce RTX 4090 64 GB RAM
  6. With a lot of respect for your work. I don't understand how this can be, since the DLL is in a directory that is only used for QVFR? C:\Program Files\OpenXR-Quad-Views-Foveated\XR_APILAYER_MBUCCHIA_quad_views_foveated.dll
  7. Crystal / 4090 / QVFR / 72Hz / Stable 72 FPS with high settings. Yes, Quad view simply is mandatory. Without this, the resolution would have to be lowered considerably to achieve a good FPS. In my opinion, QVFR + Aero or Crystal are currently the best setups for playing DCS with the best quality in VR. What really scares me is that such a bug would certainly have been noticed... It really seems that ED does not test with such a setup. Picture: Open Flight School VR-Workshop Benchmark
  8. You can tell from the date alone that your post wasn't meant seriously. Now it's the sale and I, along with several hundred STEAM customers, would be delighted to receive an offer.
  9. Will the Launcher support the Steam Version?
  10. Understood. However, it is somewhat misleading that the UFC button still shows the options for changing.
  11. I've seen the Heatblur video where the DCS Web Viewer is integrated into the Kneeboard How about editing a running mission via kneeboard in VR? With DCS Olympus you can edit a running mission https://github.com/Pax1601/DCSOlympus With OpenKneeboard you can integrate a browser window as a kneeboard page (window capture) and control it via the tablet https://openkneeboard.com/features/window-capture.html Would a combination of both be possible?

  12. After the patch yesterday I have just tested whether the laser code can be changed in flight: It can be changed, the SMS shows the changed codes. However, the GBU no longer finds the laser beam and the bomb misses. Can anyone confirm this? And... is this also "realistic"?
  14. Nice review, very similar to my experience. I use 72 Hz and therefore have a bit more eye candy, but I know that others have a problem with it and prefer to set it to 90 Hz. I have high settings and 72 FPS throughout. @BIGNEWY I use a small mod to reduce the weight, maybe that's interesting for you too: My rig: Windows 10, NVIDIA MSI RTX 4090, AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 8-Core Processor, 3401 MHz, 64GB DDR @3200, ASrock X570 Pro4
  15. It's not just the FOV (which will hopefully soon be significantly larger thanks to the new lenses, ~120°-125°). The clarity and the performance gain through eye tracking in combination with Quad Views are what make the difference. Only the Crystal and the Aero (discontinued) have that. Comfort is of course an issue, but this is very individual. For some (like me) the Crystal fits perfectly, others say they can't wear them at all. The key is to try them out.
  16. For DCS players, calibration in Pimax Play is not really necessary. You can use the Centre View button in DCS itself. However, I've also had the problem that I ended up completely off course despite the centre view, or I kept moving through the room. The only thing that helped was to install Pimax Play over it (but it's quick).
  17. First off, thank you so much mbucchia! With DFR, DCS now takes screenshots of the images rendered at the peripheral resolution (4% for me). The images are correspondingly poor. Does anyone have a solution for this yet?
  18. Enable the transfer from Steam to standalone for example?
  19. Sorry, my question was a different one. If I stay on Steam and unbind my account now, can I always transfer my modules - especially the newly purchased ones - to the standalone at any later time?
  20. The only and most important question is: Will we be able to transfer those modules we buy from Steam starting today to the standalone version later without any time limit?
  21. First of all: I don't want to attack anyone personally, especially not you, BigNewy! But still I feel it is an impertinence to make this change without informing about it beforehand. I too have my modules purchased on Steam bound in my profile. Just to keep the option open to switch to standalone later. Before I bought my first module, this procedure was allowed according to the FAQ - I consider that a contract! To make restrictions later - to change the contract unilaterally - I don't think is a fair approach. I am not ready to "unbind" my modules. What if there are further changes to company policy later, and suddenly I can no longer bind and switch to standalone? Saying that there are "no plans" is not enough. I hereby call on Eagle Dynamics to reverse this move and find another solution. I absolutely understand the need to prevent customers breaking the EULA. But probably it's about preventing simultaneous logins with actually one and the same account? This should be your goal - and technically relatively easy to prevent. But such an inconvenient solution for all others who did not cheat, I feel as a personal attack and violation of our contract! Kind regards, an extremely annoyed customer.
  22. Only for seated VR (flight sim / sim racing), but so the Crystal weighs less than 800 grams. For more relief simply add more pulleys.
  23. "In fact, Steam is not responsible for pricing, but the developers and publishers of the game themselves. In this case, it sounds like they decided on a different price outside of Steam. Unfortunately, our Steam support is not able to adjust this price. We thank you for your understanding." @BIGNEWY Just the quick question: is this true and buyers via Steam don't get the discount if they own both maps (Normandy 1944 and The Channel)? Anyway, consider the €5 as a donation to the coffee fund, I'm just looking for clarification.
  24. Asked Valve about this. tbc
