Roughly yes. But as the antenna is placed some meters off the runway you'd need to set some degrees offset to be guided straight to the treshold. Draw a line from the antenna location to the runway treshold centerline and measure the angle. That would be your offset that needs to be added to the real runway orientation.

The F/A-18C followed by a Mig-29 would be perfect as they suffer similar issues (fuel). ;)

Yap, thats why I would happily pay at least two times the price. And that's the reason why I bought Blackshark even though I never fly that thing. ;)

Indeed DCS/LOs hardware-appetite sucks a lot of money out of our pokets... Be it HOTAS, TIR lots of screens or the machine itself... ;) I on my end configure my PCs purely for DCS!

ED SIMS SCREENSHOT AND VIDEO THREAD!!!! (NO USER MODS OR COMMENT)
Laud replied to rekoal's topic in Screenshots and Videos
@HungaroJET: That afterburner looks hot! ;) -
Looking great! I like the rivets!

OT answer: Try to set water from high to medium first. It has a noticeable impact on performance, while still looking good enough (my opinion).

No, we just started to draw the background pics for the new DCS airbases. That is quite time-consuming. And someone needs to keep the squadron rolling as well. But I'll give you Majkop VAD as a preview. (Headings are still according to FC2. For DCS A-10C they need to be changed according to MagVar.) @Paul: have you recieved my e-mail??

Midair collision -> tie... :s ... joking...

I still don't really understand how. Mapping a DX-Button to the wanted knob, and then, with running profile, press the knob within the (device) controls setup? That's exactly my main problem so far with target profiles, at least for the throttle-base switches. Besides that mapping by keypresses is kinda impossible for the fuel-flow switches. However, seems like I get there try by try... :)

Yes, TACAN is working parallel to ILS (as long as it is available at the AB). You just need to choose which one to be displayed on your ADI/HSI (NMSP).

Rgr, looking forward to it! Just thought it would have been more intuitive, when all the needles point to a certain position for a certain reason...
-
Wouldn't it been useful to also set the RWY heading into the HSI by the course knob? That way you would have waited for the course and heading needle to match, and you could have also used the course deviation bar to prevent offset.

The OTs are the most fun parts of this thread! :D

You can well protect your farm with that one! :D

Attention all Server Admins - Please Read:
Laud replied to 159th_Viper's topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
Our server is data-centre based, available 24/7 with a really fast connection. Because there is no dedicated server.exe we needed to built our own 4HU server with full home-desktop capabilities (GFX etc.). Cost us about 1000€ 2-3 years ago (it's a E8400 with 4gig RAM). :( -

Interested! (<- the very much on-topic part of the post! :) ) And (partial)OT: We (vJaBoG32) do NOT want to offerany Newbie-Training. We just don't have the man-power to operate our squadron and its training plus designing missions and moderating open Newbie-Trainings. BUT: We'd be willing to offer our server to run missions on it, open to the public. -
Before we get into the topic deeper and deeper: Can we expect a subforum or something similar in the near future to discuss everything neccessary or shall we proceed in this thread? EDIT: Just read your linked thread. So the question becomes obsolete for now... Structure could look like: - Open DCS:A-10C Servers (Subforum with a dedicated thread for each Server) - Open MP-Missions (Subforum with threads to introduce/discuss certain missions) Also you could maybe give each Sim (FC2/DCS:Ka-50/DCS:A-10C) it's own dedicated Multiplayer Subforum instead of having the mixed one at the Sim Topics section.

How is that link connected to our topic here?? Do I miss something?

DCS:ME Survival Upgrade Pack
Laud replied to Panzertard's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
That means this urgent need didn't make it on top of the ME-To-Do-List for about seven years?? Hard to understand from a (MP)-mission-builders point of view. Especially since the community (Blindspot and now you) offered some solutions already. I hate those evenings, where I had to put 12 aircraft with each about 12 WPs... takes hours... ;) @Dragon: What is a simulator without missions??? FSX!! No really, the ME is an important piece of the whole simulator, for SP as well as for MP. -
DCS:ME Survival Upgrade Pack
Laud replied to Panzertard's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Great work! I still wonder why ED is not paying attention to this, since it's asked for by mission-builders since LOs initial release... TY! -
Öhm... bei uns steht im Geschwader-Sammelthread nix von FC2... ;)

Yeah, I also did the Flaps with press/release. No I'm interested how you're going to do the Fuel Flow switches!!!

CDU Tutorial: pre release snippet - CDU Offset.
Laud replied to Chrisakky's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Maybe you and WarriorX should merge your projects into one thread. His .pdf-tutorial and your tutorial-vid. :) -
I'd say the vJaBoG32 is good example why this initiative could move things forward: We're extremely busy with the stuff we do squad-internal. Because of that, we have no one building missions for public use or for "babysitting" (not meant to be offending!) open missions. But if there would be a central place to exchange missions, designed a bit lo-fi to fit the needs of an open public server, I'd of course install servman on our sever and let some of those missions run without password at the times our squadron doesn't need the server for training flights etc. Again: The main reason why there is no public server from us so far is 1) we all do not fly on public servers (at least ultra rarely) and 2) due to point 1, no one is interested in creating public missions. Networking on this topic would at least bring our server on the scene. Overall a good initiative here!
