DCS: F-16C Viper Screenshots and Videos (NO DISCUSSION)
Gunfreak replied to wilbur81's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
So it’s taken a long time to make and edit this thing. For my 600th subscriber special. I did a full coop mission, me and my buddy with two mostly useless AI wingmen. We did some successful air to air, took out two large SAM batteries to let the Mudhen drop 4000lb of JDAM that caused the biggest explosion I’ve seen in DCS. And we even got home safely. We are still not experten in the F-16, I could not get a lock with my Mav, and it missed, we weren’t exactly super pros, and got lost a few miles from the air base. -

It's becoming extremely difficult making DCS videos now
Gunfreak replied to Gunfreak's topic in General Bugs
I've tired the several times now. And i still get mission load fail I've spent several hours making and flying a mission to make a good exiting mission. Now all that is wasted as both tracks (dedicated server and dcs track) get mission load fail. -
DCS WW2 needs so many things. That some aircraft remaster is far down the list for me. Also while I'm perfectly happy to pay for remasters of older modules(Huey please) WW2 DCS is already super expensive. We had to pay for map. And the asset pack(asset pack left mostly unupdated for several years now) I would rather they spend time and resources in a proper full fidelity 109G6. Then update the K4 that really has no business being on either of the 2 WW2 maps.

Annoyingly haven't been able to do a video after the patch. A mix of a new vr game and migraines. I did fly today but it wasn't video worthy. So just some pics. Digging the new F-5 update. Got her almost up to 1.6 with 2 Sidewinders at 32 000 feet. She's actually pretty fast once you get her naked. I climbed to 30 000 feet and actually got her to accelerate past Mach 1 on the climb. -
Interface is the least of the problem. Lack of units and proper damage simulation is far more important

Still not any word on the F5 hatch?
-
Here's fog set to lift in the morning. I've set it from quite heavy to medium with 3 minute change. To simulate as the sun finally starts burn away the fog.
-
tried this and it didn't work, tried to bind all the 3 options to my flight kit, and also didn't work
-
Strange artifacting after todays patch.

Was about to make a post about it I also get black flashing in the cockpit. As I sit in the cockpit, everything flashes black continuously, as soon as I hit F11 and move away from the cockpit, the flashing stops. -
Is it possible to get the hatch open on an AI unit. Like putting on on ram with uncontrolled?
-
I can't see any fix for the ground unit "go to waypoint order" This has lasted quite a few patches
-
Doesn't seem this got fixed ib the last patch.
-
Can't find the F-5 upgrade on steam
-
Will the "go to waypoint" for ground units be fixed in this patch?

@BIGNEWY Will the "go to waypoint" for ground units be fixed in this patch?

Yeah. One of the many reasons WW2 is is getting less and less interesting. You can do any of the reflected campaigns. Because who wants to start a 90 minute to 3.5 hour long mission when you don't know if the bugs will ruin the experience for you.
-
I would really like to have a "word" with whomever in the 90s decided that ww2 aircraft in sims should have snowflake engines. And decided to take the manual as some religious text that was perfect and absolute. I can only remember once in the myriad of books I've read/listened to about ww2 areal combat that i pilot specifically mentioned he worried as he had run his engine too hard. If the manual said WEP max 5 minutes, you can bet your ass that in combat between young men fighting for their lives they ran WEP for 15 minutes and still could fly 5 hours back home just fine. It ment a longer service overhal of the engine and if done often. Probably ment they ripped out the engine and out in a new one. I guess people just like having to fine fiddle their engine stuff and it would be "boring " if you could just WEP for 20 minutes. But that would be more realistic.

I haven't touched the Kiowa since the update. Lucky I've had the F4 and F16 to play with the last months.
-
Yeah. Enough with these super modern choppy choppys. If the had selected an older BH model they could make one that would fit very well with Iraq(both 91 and 2003) Afghanistan, Balkans. Not sure why ED would go for models that just fit current period. When we can't get jets that fit this period. Who wants to drop of Eric Bana in Mogadishu with a glass cockpit, when we could do it the proper way. I'm still miffed they went for a super modern Hook. And it's one of the reasons I stil haven't bought it.

So I know you can add kneeboards to the entire mission or to one specific aircraft type. But I have 6 F-16 flights in a multiplayer mission, the point is to let a player choose one of the flights as each F-16 flight has a different loadout. I'm making a kneeboard with waypoint and radio info, but also stores info, I want to make 6 unique pages, one of each of the flights as they have different stores. Is that possible?

Or is that what "they" want us to think.
