Happy to help. I figured I wasn't supposed to move but curiosity got the best of me.
-
Took me six minutes to see something I thought was it. Moved forward to try and see if I was right. I was wrong and paid for it. Went back in to try again, knowing where I should be looking and could not see it. Used IR and zoom. This was in VR Oculus Rift S.

I'm in a hover in that screen shot, maybe 10 or so feet. As for the view being wrong in VR. The screen shots look a bit different than it does in the headset. To me, the view is just right in the headset. I wasn't trying to make a fake topic, just FYI. It was more of me flying that instant action mission and wishing for the AI bird that was flying over my Apache.
-
I know... It's in an instant action mission for the Apache. These two aircraft worked together. So the Apache recently released and now I am simply wishing/hoping for it's little partner to come and join the party....
-
Food for thought.
-
Of course it can. The real question is how well it would do in that environment. I personally think it would come down to how the aircraft was deployed and in what roll. Most aircraft being deployed around the world by different countries are no more capable then the F/A-18C.

I map the cockpit camera controls so I can move my position to where I'm most comfortable in the cockpit.

I'm pretty sure this is a known issue and the team is aware.
-
For whatever reason I have to use the Page Down and Page up buttons on my keyboard to get the throttle to respond at first. After that my key bind will work. admiki suggested earlier.

What Lange said, at the top of the home screen click the gear icon (settings), go to controls tab, at the bottom right of that window you'll see hot plug. Disable that.
-
Do you have hot plug enabled? If so you might want to try disabling it. If I remember correctly, this caused some people to have stutter issues. It's in settings under controls, bottom left side of screen.

Problem fixed. I did install one thing, 3Dmigoto for VR users. This was the problem. I didn't uninstall it but I did remove the Shader Fixes file. That solved the issue.
-
No mods installed since the reinstall yesterday.
-
OK, this is definitely something on my end. It's not just the instant action missions. It's when ever and where ever I jump in the 109. I just did a reinstall yesterday. Not sure how to fix it.
-
I've never done a 109 instant action mission until today. This was the cockpit. I checked other WW2 aircraft. They were fine.

The Air Data System (ADS) consists of two independent air data subsystems: the Flight Management Computer (FMC) and the Helicopter Air Data System (HADS). The HADS is comprised of the High Integrated Air Data Computer (HIADC) and two Airspeed And Direction Sensor (AADS) probes. The AADS probes sense airspeed magnitude, direction, and free airstream temperature. The HIADC uses this data, along with ambient and pitot pressure sensors, to compute air mass related data. The FMC computes pressure altitude, pitot airspeed, and density altitude related information. The FMC receives longitudinal and lateral true air speeds, static temperature, and non-filtered true air speeds from the HIADC. That's from the DCS manual. There's also a diagram on page 187. Edit: Just noticed Devrim said the same thing in a much shorter post.

I definitely get the frustration and I for sure have experienced it. The OH-58 is the airframe I have been wanting to fly for some time now. The lack of information is disconcerting but I do think the project is progressing. The DCS weekly news post from March which actually had Kiowa info in it brought new hope for this year. You may be right though, all may have to wait until sometime next year. Only time will tell. Either way, when it's released, I'm buying it.

Engine breaking after 30 seconds max power.
ddc196 replied to Gunfreak's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
Like razo said. Watch your temps. It doesn't matter if you keep things within the green. What does matter is how you are flying. If what you're doing is causing the engine to heat up, keeping thing in the green matters not. Keep an eye on your engine and coolant temps. If they're getting high, open up the radiators. -
https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/news/newsletters/8e9bb76f4a0514c588f70108e2437ea3/ Scroll to the bottom. I'm also aware through posts that there was some health issues with one of the members which slowed down development. If I remember correctly, things are back on track.

I'm not aware of a way to increase head rotation in VR. However, you can rest your view to look further in a certain direction. You can do this by moving your head as far as comfortable one direction and then resting your view to that point. You can then look back the other way and you'll be able to see much further behind you. I hope this helps.

resolved DCS 2.7.11 - VR cursor persists too long

Well that's funny. I deselected use mouse and selected it again. Fixed the problem. Thank you! -
resolved DCS 2.7.11 - VR cursor persists too long
ddc196 replied to Raven (Elysian Angel)'s topic in VR Bugs
I'm not really wanting to bring this up, but it's still happening in instant action missions. The cursor does not go away at all. I've tried it in four different aircraft. I've only noticed this in instant action mission.
