  1. I'm using the Rift S and am having no issues. I have mostly been using the auto function for range. Also, I haven't boresighted once. So far, things are just working for me. I think the only issue I have seen so far is the George interface in VR seems off... not easy to see... out of .....I'm not sure, it just seems to need tweaking in VR.
  2. Ok, amazing job ED! The realism of the Apache in VR is stunning. Having the NODS and IHADSS in your field of view, it works perfect with an HMD on your face. It just feels right. Not an intended thing but a working consequence. Also, the controls were daunting at first but messing around with things and I'm starting to feel less stupid. And, if you haven't tried it yet, fly from the front seat. It's a blast! Anyways, just wanted to express my excitement so far. Looking forward to the flights to come. Again, GREAT job ED!!!
  3. I think it's pretty difficult to "hardware" yourself out of the cloud issue in DCS when it comes to VR. I have a pretty good system, as you do, and the issues persist. I also have the same problems as you do. In IL2, the cloud system does no suffer as badly as it does in DCS. But it's not perfect either. I'm hoping Vulkan/multithreading/multicore will fix this and other issues in this game. Now, with all that said, for me their is no better flight simulation out there. Love DCS!
  4. I'm going with another vote for the P-38.
  5. My most wanted is the P-38. What I think is most needed and I'm sure they are working on it is the Mitsubishi A6M Zero.
  6. Tell me it's coming and I'll preorder it now!
  7. There is a solution I found that fixes the clouds but causes other problems. This is for VR players. You can set the clouds to Ultra and bump you pixel density to say around 1.8 or higher. That takes care of the cloud issue.... but, as I said, it causes other performance issues that I can not live with. I would love for ED to fix this. They may be waiting for Vulkan/Multicore/Multihread to do the trick.
  8. I'm going to agree with the original poster. I think it would be a good idea for people who play in VR. Clouds are an issue if you play that way.
  9. First and foremost, great champaign! I Just purchased it and I have little complaints. But.... Mission 5 map coordinates between Vire and Argentan is not correct. It say a heading of 345 degrees. It should be somewhere around 97 degrees. Anyways, great job and I hope to see more of these WW2 campaigns in the future.
  10. I'm going to argue that this is exactly where this belongs. It does not just effect the Mustang but any other WW2 aircraft that has a similar capability. This map is what is causing me to think it's time to get the homing capability simulated, in whatever aircraft has the option.
  11. Not a bug but I think it will be an issue in the future. With the new Marianas map and the new possibility of WW2 aircraft carrier type engagements in the future, I think it's time for the AN/ARA-8 to be simulated. There's a lot of water out there.
