  1. Just got my new EVGA GTX980
  2. Same happened to me several times at first, but I think if you hold the beast down to stay on the runway a bit longer, you will take-off faster and not roll left so suddenly... The thing with taking off with the K-4, is you have to really hold the nose down and its difficult to keep your hand from "ham fisting" when you do that. Now for the landing...:joystick:
  3. Oh I have to install the open beta...Maybe someone should point this out somewhere...
  4. I am missing something here, the K-4 is announced to be available, and I paid the full $49.95 amount and it is nowhere to be found...
  5. Updated manually to 1.2.11, because, for some reason, the 1.2.11 update had not. Problem solved, thank you all. louis
  6. I realized (doh...) that the mig-21 module had not updated to 1.2.11, so I updated manually. Problem solved.
  7. It goes up to the blue progress bar for a while then crashes to desktop with windows error message "DCS has stopped working", and back to GUI. Logs are attached. Thanks for the trouble  Logs.zip
  8. Tried updater repair..No change Anybody else has this problem ?
  9. Cannot use Mig-21, it crashes (most of the times) on going in. Cannot remove the module The module is present in available and installed at the same time ??? (was the case before latest update). Tried re-activating...no change. ??????
  10. Ok, the bug is specific to the Instant Action Mig-21 Bis "Free Flight" mission. I've tried the first Instant Action mission and everything was fine. Intercept mission also crashes...
  11. Here are the logs I ran the reg script, Started mig-21... it crashed, never even got to the activation. Logs.zip
  12. Mig-21 crash, the program that is, I cannot since last update (today) even get in the Mig-21, it crashes on loading. Other modules seem to work fine, I tried P-51D and the Dora, I still can't land the 190 but the program works well, unlike the Fishbed. Also, (since I first installed Mig-21 a few weeks ago) I have Mig-21 installed in the manager but also available to buy, at the same time (if it helps I was in the original backers, so I got the serial without actually buying through the manager, which could explain why it is still marked as available even though I have installed it. BTW Amazing work Leatherneck :-)
  13. Need more info...what video card ?
  14. Like the title says...latest update from auto-updater
  15. Got my key ! Thanks Leatherneck
  16. Backers Email sent...thanks...can't wait Louisv
  17. There is a small 1.6 MB update instead of the big one that was pulled. I did not install the big one, by the time I opened my DCS World, it had been pulled already, and I got this small 1.6 MB one instead. Everything works fine.
  18. Agree 100% with Outlawal2 , I fly the KA-50, no VRS ever. Fly the Huey: VRS Every time Is the KA-50 reputed to have almost no VRS ? Is the Huey reputed to be much worse than the Kamov ? To me there is no doubt that the VRS is too strong in UH-1H, I had never heard of VRS before the Huey. Lou
  19. Should the VRS be as bad in the KA-50 as it is with the Huey ?
  20. No, TrackIr is managed by the TrackIr program. You don't need to do anything other than mapping your TrackIr commands to other keys if you wish, but that is done in the TrackIr program, not in DCS (maybe you can do it in DCS but you don't need to)
  21. There are 2 distinct problems with the Saitek rudders, the first one: axis reversal, is trivial and is fixed by axis tune. Not so with the sticking, which is unique to DCS. Easy to see in axis tune. A solution that was given earlier by deleting a registry entry not only does not work at all, but it destroys all the rudder profiles in DCS to their (f***d up) defaults, that is with joystick and throttle axis commands repeated in the rudder column, and you have to re-load all the rudders in all the aircraft that you have in DCS. Anyway, the registry entry is re-created as soon as you re-enter DCS ! The problem is still whole and is a real pain in P-51D especially trying to steer the thing properly. I wish somebody would take care of this, it has been lying around for years and frankly is not acceptable at this stage. Sincerely, Lou
  22. You are right, I did not take motion blur into ccount...still 60 Hz is excellent for a flight sim, maybe not as much for a shooter, when taking very fast movements into account.
  23. FPS and the screen refresh rate of your screen are two independent things, one does not drive the other. But if your are running the screen at 120 Hz, this could mean one of two things: your screen is a true 120 Hz screen, that can take 120 different frames per second, generally those are 3D ready screens. I don't know that you can run them at 120 Hz on non-3D data. More likely your screen can get to a 120 Hz refresh rate, but on 60 images per second, much more common. In this case the high refresh rate may help, but if my TV is any indication (it has a 120 Hz refresh rate), it won't make a difference unless you carefully study the images, and even then... Not worth it. It is used in TV sales pitches...120 Hz...240 Hz...etc. and its almost pure BS. If your FPS is between 60Hz and 120 Hz, and our screen is 60 Hz (and 120 Hz refresh rate or not), then the screen will not show all the frames. At a real 120Hz it would, but I guarantee you you will not see the difference, it is simply too fast for human eyes. In any case your eyes dont go much farther than 30 Hz. Depending on the lighting conditions this will vary of course. This is when the sim starts to feel smooth. 60 Hz FPS and 60 Hz screen refresh rate is optimum for all devices involved, including you eyes. Lou
  24. Separate modules ? I missed that detail. I thought they would give AFM to the F-15C and Su-27 within FC-3, just like the Su-25T and Su-25 already have the AFM.
  25. Wow, if you are a dedicated heli sim pilot, especially Huey, those are amazing, and not that expensive.
