Thank you for this interesting topic and informations given! On night missions I always use PNVS in DCS. And yes it‘s a real challenging experience and it takes some time to deal with it. What distracts me most is not the cockpit lighting as I always dime them low as possible. It‘s mostly ligthing from outside the cockpit like the lots of streetlamps in urban areas in DCS. This makes it often difficult for me concentrating on the PNVS image in VR. I wonder if this is also a problem IRL or it‘s more a VR „thing“ in DCS?

IHADSS eyepiece not scaled correctly in VR on HTC Vive Pro
corbu1 replied to Thunderchief2000's topic in Bugs and Problems
I have Vive Pro2 and it looks the same for me…. It was already in an other thread. Seems that is only a Vive thing….Users of other VR brands seem not to have reported this yet… -
so beautiful!!!

Wow, I really love that look……

Me too since 2.8. Sitting in the virtual AH64 cockpit I can watch slowly populate the scenery from displaying sea level up to full terrain…. I had this before only after deleting metashaders and fxo folders and new initializing the shaders. Actually I see it on every game start……this is in VR.

+1 I‘d like that shadow option, too. Especially in VR even with a solid PC setup, it‘s all about proper settings for actual performance.

+1 That would be cool!

VRK - a virtual reality enabled kneeboard with touch and ink support
corbu1 replied to AMVI_Rider's topic in DCS Modding
That‘s sad! VRK worked beautiful for me…. Yes, I have seen Openkneeboard. I once tried it, but didn‘t got it working in VR with the Vive Pro 2….seems I have to try it again. -

Hello, Is VRK still supported? -
Thank you Hollywood315 for developping vaicom which is one of the most immersive tool for DCS in my opinion….. Also, thank you so much for allowing further development with making it open to the community And thank you to the new development team!!!!

Wow, this was unexpected… First, good news is that hollywood315 seems to be OK! Second great news that Vaicom is unlocked! So, big true thank you to hollywood315!!!!! And third, an ever bigger thank you to the marvelous guys in this community making Vaicom work with OB2.8!!! Thank you all involved!!!!!!!!

Comms menu and Active pause are gone after 2.8 update
corbu1 replied to Moxica's topic in Bugs and Problems
Did you have VoiceSttack with Vaicom as plug-in installed before…..or just VoiceAttack standalone? -
Sounds no good…..just thought only Vaicom is affected. If there are also Problems with Voice Attack, the trouble gets bigger….

It‘s really sad…..but I think it‘s time to remove Vaicom from my signature As it was never really working in the AH64D, I stopped using it a few weeks ago. But now with the changes in 2.18 …seems like a kind of an end of the road.

Hello, as Floyd1212 suggested I also have keybinded two switches for moving throttle from off to idle. for moving throttle from idle to flight I have keybinded the small grey lever on the right on the thrustmaster device. There‘s a keybind option binding both throttlelevers to one key in AH64D controls settings menu. So I can increase throttle on startup with it. As said, once in flight you‘d normally don‘t change setting anymore. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3322761/ You could also try downloading this profile or try some of the recommended settings in it.

I fully agree! The radio menu relating on the F1 up to F12 is really not VR friendly. Of course mouse usage is possible, but this is not much more user friendly I think. I‘m wondering if a toggle up/ down button concept would work better. Buttons could be reduced to 4 or 5 buttons (toggle up/ down, list forward and back, enter), which would make button bindings to joystick or throttle multiway switches easier? Actually I‘m using a Razer Tartarus for the menu keys, which you get used to in VR with muscle mind connection after some time. Since Vaicom Pro is abandond and did never really work for the AH64D this is my way with radio menu. As you said there‘s nothing more realistic than simulating radio com‘s with your voice. I really hope ED will implement a voice system for radio coms!!!

I love it!!!

I‘ll update for BS3 for sure on release…the model looks really awesome. As for the panels, they could be included in an optional process of doing an preflight outside check on cold/ dark startup‘s …a bonus feature for the hardcore simmers, but probably the majority wouldn‘t be interested. So it should be optional by enabling in the AC‘s option menu.
