HH-60 / MH-60 Seahawk Mod (AI only)
corbu1 replied to rato65's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Wow, would be great flying a Seahawks! The Seahawks is different to the Blackhawk, But a Kind of Corporation with the Beautiful UH-60L Mod Autohersteller could make it easier and offer synergies make it happen? -
Very cool! Thanks so much The Bluewhale looks beautiful!

Ok, thanks Raptor9!! Now I understand
-
Thank you Raptor9 for clarifyfing. The actual patch list is a really huge one and I really appreciate the work and detail the dev team put into the model right now in this early access state…..please keep up your great work. especially the new enhancend George AI IFF list is a beautiful and important improvement! My question wasn’t meant as critisism there‘s no improvement to the FM itself and there could actually put not enough work into it. Because I‘m sure as you already pointed out there‘s more improvement done that is just not named in the patch list…. when testing the new OB as user it would be easier to know before which corrections and improvements has been done. A short note in the patch list would help identifing these….. anyway progress on the AH64D is already great. I love the module….keep up the great work
-
I hoped the today‘s OB would provide some further Improvements to the FM, too. But I didn’t find something about it in the Patch List?

Ok, thank you for Status update

Thank you!! This is really good news. Looking forward to it…….

I‘m running the pro2 with a 10900k/ 3090 Setup. Pro2 is set to 90hz via the Vice console App. It‘s running fine for me. Though you could also run it with 120hz. As Supmua said adjusting the graphics Settings are important which are different on different machines and personal preferences. as I only owned HTC headsets before I can‘t compare the pro2 with headsets of other manufactorers.

The glare is noticable when there are white Objects displayed on dark or black backgrounds for example white text letters on a black background….but not in a 3d sim environment. I got used to it. I can not say if it works with Opencomposite with DCS. Never tried it. May be others can share their experiences. what I really like with the pro and with the pro2 ist the solid head strap System which is very comfortable and is well balancing the headsets weight, even in longer sim sessions. I think this is very important. I never had any neck pain with the vive pro2.
-
I have the vive pro 2 for about nearly a year now. I had also the vive and the vive pro before. So, for me it was the right choice as I could still use my old basestations and only had to change the headset itself. As the pro2 came out I heard some critics like it has a very small field of view and it was reported of hardware failures. I‘m happy with it. Resolution and FOV is fine for me. Yes, there is some glare, I think that is a HTC thing. Only thing I don‘t like is the vive console, an additional app to control the headsets settings, which automatically starts with steamVR.

Yep, that‘s true!! I forgot this to mention. -
need dcs log Cockpit not loading + No inputs detected
corbu1 replied to Sherlockzor's topic in Bugs and Problems
I had this two times in the past, too. The cockpit wasn‘t renderd, like jour screenshot shows. But a DCS full repair worked for me. I‘m not sure what the cause, But I suspected it with graphics driver updates. Since then, I‘ll always do a full DCS repair after updating the graphics Drivers. -
Yes, that would be a very cool feature!
-
Sounds great!! I will do some flying with the new patch this weekend. Looking forward to it…….
-
I‘m not 100% sure, but I believe it was said earlier that George moving head animation is wip and will be added later in the early access…. I‘m on your side, giving George a bit life with proper animation would be very immersive…..

Yes, that would be too sad if Vaicom would get no support anymore. It makes DCS Communications with AI so much easier and intuitive. wold not know any alternatives for it……..only DCS would enhance their own voicechat feature also for AI communications?

Using buttkicker in DCS
corbu1 replied to markturner1960's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thank you Haukka81, this is great. Hopefully I‘ll get it working. My simpit will be in aluminium and the seat itself is a gamerseat (playseat). -

No, I‘d not place them near my ears……that‘s probably a new way of torture -
Using buttkicker in DCS
corbu1 replied to markturner1960's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Hello peachmonkey, thank you for Sharing your experiences. Sounds like a great setup you built. that‘s an interesting point you made with the left and right bassshakers mounted too nearby. I was hoping to get more noticable differences in left and right effects. It would be great to feel touchdown on left skids/ wheels on touchdown or getting noticable effects feedback when launching missiles and rockets from left and right winged launchers…….I‘ll think about your experiences, maybe the bassshakers could be mounted on the left or right outsides of the simrig, so they are not as nearby when mounted directly under the seat. I like the idea with a third bassshaker near the pedals!!! -

Hello, thank you for your feedback!!! I have an external usb sound card and an amplifier for both left and right buttkickers already purchased. Now, I‘m looking forward getting my new simpit, hopefully somewhere in July. -
Keyboard Unit - Binding Makro-Tastatur
corbu1 replied to Abadron's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Hello, it would be best asking your request not in german here in the english DCS forums. Or you could try in the german forums to get help. I short terms, the OP has setup an external programmable keyboard (manufactorer: expertkrys) and wants to use it as KU in the AH64D. DCS seems to detect the keyboard and he was able to to all the KU keybindings in DCS. But when using the keyboard in the sim in flight the Buttons do not work correct. Sometimes with a delay or sometimes only with pressing the buttons twice…. I‘m german and Unverstand your request, but I can‘t offer you a solution for your problem with the external programmable keyboard, Sorry. But I‘d be very interested how to get the keyboard working as I for myself was already thinking of getting the expert keys external keyboard and using it as the KU in the AH64D. I hope you get it to work….. -
Hello warmachine79, if you are interested how helicopters aerodynamics work in principle, I‘ll recommend the following link. https://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/helicopter_flying_handbook It provides an overview what is needed to lift off a helicopter, which control elements are needed and how they work.
