  7. So GG, you do not believe in Kopp's idea of Russian and Chinese military superiority? ;) I find it somewhat believable, to a degree.
  8. I am am wondering how ED got the specific russian units and formations that fight in in the Devil's cross missions? How did they get the "battle" and "pre-battle" formations for the units? Did they look at any soviet or contemporary russian manuals? I am also very impressed with the way ED got all the unit numbers right, such as the "693rd Motor rifle brigade" and " 19th MRD." It is easy enough to find this info, I can find it on Wikipedia, but where did the rest such as the number of vehicles to a formation and type of equipment used come from? I would very much like to see it myself.

  10. I was thinking up some paradoxes in school today, and I thought that I might like to hear some of yours'. Anyways, here are mine. "If a set contains all sets, does that set contain itself?", and "If an immovable object collides with an unstoppable one, what happens? These are the only two I thought of, I would like some more to dwell on!

  12. Huh, people, what do you think? Are these mysterious broken missions and campaigns a gamekiller for ED? I don't play multiplayer, so this is a little more serious for me, but what are your thoughts?
  13. O.K, so remember, people, I originally had troubles with the first mission due to a multitude of problems with the triggers that I could not resolve myself. So, I changed the point values for the mission and let myself go on to Shore 02, the SEAD Strike. My only problem , a gamekiller, is this: The F-16s taking out the sa-3s don't do their job. They just stand by and do nothing, while I and my wingman, steaming forward at 0700h as we are supposed to, are valiantly shot down, and can thus not complete our mission. Is this a common issue, and if so, what should I do?

  16. Hello, I've had rudders for a very long time and am absolutely clueless on how to use them besides on the ground. Could someone please inform me of what they are used for in the air and how to use them? Thank you.

  18. tigerrr... Why is it still that when I use the plain "engage" menu, my wingmen just charge in blindly and keep getting killed? I was playing devils cross 4 today with your mod, and I was noticing my wingmen were seeing targets earlier, but when I gave the "engage" order, I still got the same reaction as pre-mod. I did not try it with "engage with"
  19. In the offensive CAS missions, the game seems to crash whenever the friendly armor arives to their objective. This erases the entire mission and is the reason why I cannot get past 1 or 2 missions.
  20. O.K, thanks. I took a look at the mission in the editor, and found that there are two main routes that the enemy companies follow, and the routes end in a trigger zone. I looked at the location of triggers on the map, and noticed that there was a certain amount of time that the units had to be out of hte trigger zones for any points to be awarded. In essence, I see your explanation crystal clear, thanks Zamboni
  21. How do you complete this?!!!!! I delay the enemy companies as asked, and yet only get 50 percent and am stuck on the same level again and again and again. Can someone please explain how to beat this before I give up?
  22. What burst setting did you use on the cbu-97s? You seem to be having a lot more success than me with that strange but awesome weapon.
  23. So coolts, you could also technically find his SPI, call him back, and then give an engage with order so he knows where he is shooting, right? Zx
  24. O.K, So I decided to apply the tactics I saw in Wag's video to the Georgian Hammer campaign and found a few problems. The first step seems to be to take out the air defenses. Well, I tried this in 2-1 to no avail. I cannot for the life of me spot ZSU-23-4s and SA-9s along the randomly hot ground with the FLIR. So after a few frustrating runs with the TGP, I decided to let my wingman loose and find targets on his own, so I set my SPI as the "TGT" waypoint and did an "Engage With, Air defenses, Mavericks, Default" order, and next thing I know, my wingman is shot down by the SA-9 he didn't see. So I eventually just decide to leave the air defenses alone and focus on the tanks instead, which is even more frustrating because even with the JTAC helping, I cannot find anything along the "hot" ground. Yes people, I have tried listening to the JTAC read out locations of enemy air defenses with his remarks, I am not as dumb as I seem, but still cannot find any SHORADS. Hope someone could help with a NOoB like me ;)
