  1. How fast was the carrier going? 8\
  2. To the OP. Is your trim for T/O the same as for landing?
  3. Great vid. TY.
  4. Yeah... I would put this down to a WIP, pre-release issue. Recently after practicing take-off's and landings on the ship, I put out the command for the flight to RTB. I landed er, arrived, raised the hook, folded my wings, and quickly moved to park beside another Hornet on the carrier deck. While I was sitting there trying to figure out how to shut down my engines, I see wingie #2 call sign "Nordo"catch a wire and stop in front of me. Nicely done ...except for the fact that #3, call sign "Obie", (short for Oblivious) was at that very instant slamming into the deck and catching one of the 3 unused cables... Obie plows into the back of Nordo's jet while yelling over the radio "I'm hit!"... Nordo ejects, the deck is aflame. The ship’s loudspeakers blare (in my head) “Fire on the flight deck, fire on the flight deck!” The deck is covered in flame and smoke. My aircraft, apparently hit by debris, then bursts into flames. After action report: 1) I almost fell off my chair lol'n so hard. 2) Seems we may have left port without our fire crews... (investigation underway) 3) UFN I'll be sending my AI flight to land at the nearest divert field... ;) 4) Obie peeled potato's for the rest of the cruise.
  5. I would go with option 3. 3) VR
  6. The F/A-18 is awesome, but... where's the BRRRRRRTTT!
  7. 2.15.2 Boarding Ladder. A boarding ladder (figure 2-33), stowed under the LEX, provides access to the cockpit and upper aircraft area from the left side of the aircraft. Ladder extension and retraction can only be accomplished from outside the cockpit. To extend the ladder, manually support the ladder and release the forward and aft latches on the forward beam on the underside of the LEX, permitting the ladder to rotate down to the extended position. So yeah, I don't know how you did it.
  8. Clear as mud...
  9. Thank you F410! This has solved my problem. She shakes nicely now!
  10. You're in low earth orbit!!
  11. How high can it go? My best so far. 69,800'
  12. With my TMWH I had to map a button for lifting both finger lifts in order to get AB and get shot off the cat.
  13. SSA 1.2.0.0 Sound Module 2.7
  14. The Hornet, I believe, has an auto trim system... Seems in flt with the gear flaps up it trims itself. With gear and flaps down the trim seems to work in a conventional sense. I'm sure when the manual comes out it will all be explained. In another thread Wags says this "In UA mode, it will trim to 1 G automatically. in PA mode, you need to trim manually to set AoA."
  15. I understand its a WIP, however I get NO vibes (nada, zip, zilch, a big 'ol goose egg) in the Hornet. SSFA does not recognize that the Hornet module is active. Thanks for trying to help though. :) It is appreciated.
  16. Have done that. No fix. Also the only problem is with the Hornet... every other plane/chopper gets the good vibs.
  17. I've downloaded and reinstalled from here with no fix: https://dreamsimteam.blogspot.com/p/downloads.html
  18. Yes it is. I have it for my car racing rig. Which is why I am wondering if there is a conflict between the SSFA and SSFW?
  19. I dont use facebook. Is there another place I can download it? Also I do have simshaker wheels, could that be a problem?
  20. Thanks sze5003 now I get it in the dropdown box. simshaker for aviator works ok for A-10c but in Hornet I get no vibs. I do get the following error message.
  21. In the aircraft drop down menu there is no choice for F/A-18 do we select generic jet? Thanks!
  22. My short DCS Hornet review follows: YEAH, BABY!
  23. No video. But I landed, caught a wire. Plane could (probably) be used again, but i'm pretty sure I would have been court marshaled and never allowed near the boat again. ;)
  24. Did Matt give us a solid date on when 2.5.2.17978 will be out? lol. I'll check back later today.
