  1. I may be wrong, but I think I read that the inner "glass" is not a regular glass and let the infrared from the back of the missile lamp pass through for the sensor to guide the missile with Radio Frequency and you have that intermediate glass cover to protect it while you are just spotting targets and both of them let visible light pass through. And I also think this is not implemented so you can guide the missile with the glass cover closed.
  2. Check the Battery Voltage. When I was learning the Huey I used to turn the lights, radios, fuel pump, etc while reading the checklist and my battery went low enough to a point when the Starter would not have power to spin the engine.
  3. Tested with Camera Shake at 100% yesterday and it was noticeable when passing to ETL. But I didn't enter VRS or RBS (finally getting better with the Hind ) to check.
  4. I had no problems locking F-5s and F-86s at ColdWar Server. I'm almost sure some of them was slightly above me (but I'm 100% positive because the "heat of the battle"). At RotorHeads Server I can only lock those nasty Mi-28s when they are so close (and bellow me) to a point that I'm already saying farewell to one of my 3 virtual lives. I'm not really sure if it's a airplane/helicopter, a below/above horizon or contrast/background () issue.
  5. Revisiting this post I noted the Note 3 - two-bullet cartridge And I learned something new today. http://gunrf.ru/rg_patron_12_7x107_eng.html
  6. Been there too. I was at the Cold War Server and got 2x MIG-19 flying in formation and making fun of me. They not even had the decency of put an end at my pain.
  7. Is the FLAP LEVER set on the THUMB SW position as indicated on the top image? Can you see the AUTO indication at the FLAP POSITION INDICATOR at the left top corner of the front panel? With the AUTO position the Flaps can be set automatically by the Central Air Data Computer (CADC) at the 0°/0° depending on the flight condition (Air speed, Mach Number, Altitude and AoA) so you wouldn't see any Flaps actuated.
  8. I just use Rudder Trimmer, and for the Trim I use the Default option. Control Helper I keep unchecked.
  9. Are you sure it's not running "internal crate" script like CTLD on those servers? On a lot servers that I played they use Internal Crates script. Sometimes it appears in front of the aircraft and you just have to Hover above it in a certain altitude and time (5m ans 5s I think) and it magically disappears (going "inside" the copper), and sometimes it just go "inside" the chopper with no need of hover above it. We used to have a lot of catastrophic de-sync with external loads on hooks on MP and a lot of servers ditch the vanilla hook system. Now I'm seeing more server using the vanilla hook systems again and looks like is working better. It's hard, fun and a great sight when you have a lot of players creating a FARP or SAM that way.
  10. Make sure you have at least the Pitch and Roll "autopilot" AFCS turned on. That way you will have a assistance to counter the pendular motion of the helicopter and wind gusts (if they exist). Keep it the cyclic well trimmed (with hat switch of trimmer button) so you don't have to keep the travel of the joystick far from the zero position. Don't give up. I'm having a lot of fun flying the Hind but also took some time to learn, and I'm still learning, how to fly it.
  11. Sadly I also use a Twist Grip for rudder and have to use Rudder Trim a lot but it works fine for me. Did you check the Control Helper checkbox at the Mi-24 tab on Settings? Also check if you have another controller bind on your rudder axis a couple times I had my trackir/opentrack set to it for no apparent reason.
  12. Did you check the Control Helper at the Mi-24 Special Settings Tab?
