  1. The one thing I have learned recently: Use lots of chaff. Previously I would only drop like 5 chaff. I have had MUCH better success dropping 10-15 in a row. Also, with SARH learn to properly F-Pole, and always turn towards and up on the missle. So pretty much, if going head on with bandit having him locked. Launch when you get LA, then crank either direction about 45deg and brake. Fire another ER at about 70% range. When you get the launch warning again siginifying 120 is pitbull, then dump lots chaff and crank towards missle and up about 15-20deg at full burn. Of course I still die a lot =)
  2. Its war, not the playground. Why would anyone want to talk about killing people? Not a very fab topic to those who have done it I am sure.
  3. So you can be bombed by a successive strike? They should be applauded for having the bravery to stand and fight such odds. It may be suicide, but at least its better than strapping a bomb to your torso and letting go on a bus.
  4. Great mission. Have seen 24 pilots in there without any issues. Start getting problems with the server when it runs for a long time, but thats just a LOMAC problem. Got 42 pages on the log in about 1 hour the other day. Great fun!!!

  6. My friend has Ace Combat something for the PS2. And he has a HOTAS that looks exactly like the X45 but a few HATS are different. Its still gay though.

  10. Not that I know of, it just blows. And you dont need to hit it with anything that large. And explodes for a while, very beautiful.

  12. It was a mod called explosion_FPS_improvement It is under textures for the LoMan downloader. I still get a FPS drop, but it is normal and not a killer like before. Beware of the above mod.
  13. Would be nice to be able to choose what is, and is not 'locked' when classified.
  14. I just installed vanilla 1.0, no stutter, no errors in log. So I am thinking there is some 'tweak' I am installing all the time that is screwing things up. Still would have been nice to see some official support, especially with the error.log posted. But I guess they are real busy with the patch.
  15. Ah just noticed, it is for TrackIR3 only. What a crock! My trackir2 is not even a year old.

  19. I thought the MiG was a 2048x2048, which is higher than the others?
  20. I usually just wait until I get shot down the next time, and then instead of re-spawning, I quit. That way I dont get the loss.
  21. Really! I will have to try them all to see which one that is =) Do the Iglas squirm on the ground? Would be cool to see drivers and gunners and such jumping out of their rigs =) Or at least putting MOPP gear

  24. Should be 9.0c, and the DX errors in the log, do not appear related to the particle effect that isnt loading. But I havent seen a real good way to uninstall/reinstall. But like I said, I have reformatted before and still have the same issue. I am hesitant to really start ripping things out and stuff without some advice from ED on what the errors mean. Guess I will try reinstalling LOMAC...... again.
  25. So I cleared the error.log, loaded up LOMAC, turned effects to low, fired up a Su25T mission, lit the guns on the ground, then quit out. Here is the error.log contents (Had to edit for length, removed TrackIR info). It appears you are right Tracker, good job! Now, how to fix it?
