  1. Changed a few patches ago to be better in line with what you would see in the real jet normally. The coords can still be overridden with coords from the kneeboard, and should to get the most accurate PP. The jet will have previous coords, but there is ‘error’ built in. Up to the pilot to make the decision to update or, in the case of not needing to be 100% accurate, fly with what’s already loaded to the INS.
  2. Yep, likely a disconnect of what its supposed to do vs what has been coded in so far. None of the ‘dim’ functions of the lighting system have been implemented.
  3. This is not a bug. Its not implemented, nor are the rest of the night mode lighting features.
  4. Autopilot
  5. AP on vs off
  6. This about the silliest arguments I have seen here when it comes to things. Lol. Anyhoo, pretty sure its all moot anyway. Mod all you want, but what’s ‘accurate’ won’t change any of what’s already been stated above. About a handful of actual SMEs have already weighed in on this topic before. Lol.
  7. Again…not a bug. And my credentials are I spent a lot of time with the real thing.
  8. I mean, why would I need audio equipment? Lol. You dont think we experience things outside of a pilots perspective of having helmet on? I made the statement I made, for a reason, based on RL experience with the jet. So yes, I can say things like that with actual experience to the scenario. And go right ahead and ‘mod’ things however you wish, but external and internal sound files are different. And that justification is far from a ‘bug’ as reported in this forum, so there’s that.
  9. You would think that maybe I did this stuff for a living and might have wayyy more knowledge than you on this? Just maybe?!? Aircrew owns the aircraft. The ground crew is a safety assurance measure. And no, carrier ops is completely different than normal mil rules with regards to taxiing and movement. Just to sort out fact from fiction.
  10. False. ATC is not a requirement. They are aware you have a flight plan. And you have a ground person in visual contact for starting. The whole DCS ‘request startup’ thing is not relevant to US ops for fighters.
  11. You do not hear the actuators in the real jet. Just as I said in my initial post above.
  12. Problem? No Limitation? Most likely. There is really no need to be worrying about that sort of function anyway.
  13. Probably not going to happen due to the way that DCS FCs are modeled between player control.
  14. It won't be the case as it's not realistic anyway.
  15. There wasn’t really a difference in opinions honestly. Its folks saying things were a certain way when it was not. A bigger reality to what happened was that the ability to independently tune some extra things in code became available. It was a balance between helmet off and helmet on before, still is, but less so than it was before. That is all.
  16. Still some internal debate on decel behavior at time of engagement, but for now, its where it is.
  17. Its by design to be that way…as it has been explained above.
  18. Yep, you are auto guns. Need to be in MRM/SRM
  19. Fixed internally already.
  20. It has a small PMG on it, at least on the -15, so it gives you a few small things like intercom, fire detection, and engine engagement selection. Nothing in terms of what an APU is designed for.
  21. Happy accident maybe. But the pod should really be powered down at that point. You arent really reloading it, but its a DCS ism for some reason that it has to take the pod off and put it back on. It is kinda what it is there.
  22. Having to go off and on again wouldn’t really be a bug. The pod will certainly freeze up if power is interrupted like during a rearm. Not necessarily intended behavior, but not an unrealistic issue IRL either.

    Is PVU Needed?

‘Obviously with EGI the INS doesn't drift so PP inaccuracies or drifting designations will not occur’

    Is PVU Needed?

INS is still just INS. Dont confuse that with EGI that has its own internal INU. INS can still drift.
