strange end for mission 4

I do not know if it is possible, but it should be good to split long mission in different parts, without having to switch to next mission during the active one. I explain : you are playing the mission 4. As soon as you fullfill let's say the objective at tbe midfle of the story it should unlock the mission 4.2, but you continue to fly without any change. If you failed the mission you can restart in 4.2, if success you can start directly the 5.0. Of course it will be a lot of work for you as you will have to write 2 times the 4.2 scenario, one time in 4.0 mission, one time in 4.2 mission... -
Hello, I just flew mission 4 (very nice night start), but I was suprisedbyf the way I moved to mission 5.1. Hans did the bridge inspection, then I was asked to get re inforcement to first outpost, so I started to flew to it. But few second after beeing on the way, the mission ended successfully and then I went to mission 5.1. If I understood well, the bridge is already destroyed and started to be repaired when mission 5.1 start, so it looks like I missed a part of mission 4.

I feel flat shadows too sharp and introducing shimmering in VR. So I made a new option: Default rendering soften of flat shadow edge: It's currently working for OB only, I will wait new OB and maybe migration of OB to stable to spread it. I did not see noticeable fps impact, but it may depend on shadow area...

Hello, I did a small tourist tour using quick mission at incirlink and had very bad vps in VR, but only when looking in particular direction. The strange things is fps seeming lower when there is less objects to display ! Here is an illustration the game was in pause. The FoV with 66 fps seems the one with less object displayed !

Oh no !!! That means I'll wait this update to go further in missions ! I just finished the mission 2...It was just as good as the first. You just provided the campaign for peoples who are in love with the Huey and want to be worthy to fly her. Let's hope ED will release it ASAP. -
Thanks ! I did not check the map for the first mission, following directly Wolf 1 and just looking kneepad. But after the mission I mapped my hotas to use autopilot and so be able to use F10 map, then I checked map for mission 2 and discovered the markpoints... Well done ! I'm eager to fly the second mission !

Hello. I just started the campaign, 1st mission is great ! All is very well done, no trigger issue, nices voices (except batumi tower with too much noise, maybe), good fps in VR, your chief is reacting well and help you when needed. There is only one thing , kneepad is not very easy to use for navigation in VR, it's difficult to read map, due to it's size...And the huey has no GPS, so it's map and clock navigation. I wonder if it should be possible to draw the flightpath in F10 map with the new editor feature ? Unfortunatelly mission from DLC campaign can not be modified...

The red messages are occuring when there have been some changes betwen variables declared in previous mod install ans in current one. So you can just press the key written in message to update the variable list and remove the obsolete variables. Do you use 11.4 version ? Yes, 3dmigoto is eating more or less 5 fps.

I did it for myself, as Cackles, but it should be easier for newcomers who may want to extend it...They may go back to standard because of this. And it won't change the behaviour of your great script. Could you at least put a sentence on first post to explain that Mouse and Keyboard are disabled by default and what to do in case of ?

I just redo what you did to be able to mix mouse emulation and keystroke with this 120 button hack. I should had a look sooner in this thread, i would have save time. @sedenion : why did you restrain device creation to joystick only ? Generate keystroke or setup mouse emulation is a common need, and by default it will not work without any error message with your hack. We were 2 people to spend time on it, so could you update your package as described by @Cackles for other users ?

This means that fame a created a .bin file in addition to the files distributed in the mod. These .bin are cached complied shaders, so you should delete them, they will be created again if needed. You do not have to backup your settings, they are kept in d3d11_user.ini, that is not distributed in the mod, so it will remain.

As I know, other version of Kegetys mod removed some modified shaders, so some optimizations. If you use kegetys mod, use the "DCS VR Shaders mod patch for 2.7.7.14727" on top of it. Do not use the "update Kegetys VR Shaders mod for 3Dmigoto v1.1" because it will introduce some 3dmigoto variables in the Kegetys shaders. The purpose here is to check impact of Kegetys mod. If you use "update Kegetys VR Shaders mod for 3Dmigoto v1.1" or "DCS VR Shaders mod patch for 2.7.7.14727" on anything else than original Kegetys mod it may have unwanted side effects. My mod introduce ~5 fps loss (depending on options) so do not use it to define the current impact of Kegetys mod on fps otherwise you won't be able to understand which mod is doing what. I am surprised that the 3dmigoto mod alone id creating the night issue you shown. Are you using options shown in troubleshooting guide and no other mods ? That is full repair, just 3dmigoto mod install (without any patch things related to shader mod).

Be sure that you'll always have 45 fps in DCS if you want to use 90 Hz, this is may be difficult for some missions if you keep decent settings.

The full version, this is the one that give the most fps win. See the first post of this thread to get the patch to make it working with the last beta. Do not use the patch for my mod if you want to benchmark it. And I think it's best to use a real mission than a track to do testing, otherwise you may miss the real mission game context and find fps win you'll never seen when playing.

I was surpised by fps, so I did some measurements with fpsVR in Quick Mission / A10CII / takeoff, without and with my mod, without and with Kegetys mod. I supressed my DCS setting and set them to the value I used, to check if something may impact fps on this side also. With the last beta, it seems that the Kegetys mod is actually slightly decreasing fps ! At least with this scenario when you need every single fps... As I was not able to find any new "readable" shader in last beta (even though they removed white balance) I think they moved additional shader into encrypted files. So maybe Kegetys optimization are not taken into account. From my point of view, it's no more worth to install it and risk install issue. Too bad.

It's impossible to get 90 Hz every time due to poor CPU usage parallelization. And you will also find some difficulties to maintain 45 Hz in every time, to allow reprojection with 90 Hz. So 60 Hz is a good target. A better GPU may increase the time for which you will be able to have these 60 Hz, if CPU is not the bottleneck.
