  1. You are not using the reshade shaders, but the "custom integration" I did...I'll have a look for the save issue, it was working in the past. Can you sahre the content of "DCS_VREM.ini" which is in bin or bin-mt folder ?
  2. For the moment, I maintained the "original" color changes, sharpen, deband features for which code were shared in internet. I initially modified a DCS shader to have them included in it, and you can toggle them on/off using VREM menu. They are in the sections "Color changes", "cockpit sharpen",... I'm waiting some feedback to decommission them and keep only Reshade shader integration. You should install reshade anyway, it will give you the full list of default shaders. They can also be used, but they will affect the whole image. It could be an option to have the same effect with different settings for cockpit and external... Are you using Reshade effect (which one ?)
  3. Here is the 6.2 release: https://www.mediafire.com/file/8kgqvpxpjqdaptd/ReshadeDCS_VREM_v6.2_unofficial_reshade.zip/file for testing. It has now some "VREM" shader you can select in effects. These VREM shader add capacity to select Inner or Outer Quad view, as cockpit or external area for effect (whatever in VR Quand view or not, or even in 2D). They should replace the current VREM effects. Could you please try them ? Do not select any VREM included option color, sharpen, de band feature (even if I fixed the problem above also). I plan to de-comission them. Use instead the provided VREM shaders. As previously (see video above), you should refresh shaders as soon as you add or remove a shader. You can of course use the standard Reshade effect, but they modify the whole output. Some shader make DCS crashing, I found only SMAA (but did not test all of them).
  4. I can now have any reshade effect compliant with cockpit filtering. Which one would you like to have ?
  5. Quick explanation : the cockpit area I used for all effects is extended with plane airframe. I did it for label filtering, to avoid to see labels trough wings, for example. Airframe is in common with all objects. You can see below the mask computed on ground (top image) : no object below plane, only ground => mask is OK. But on carrier (bottom image) : the carrier is an object below the plane, so all part of it not farther than 20 m (roughly) it is included in the mask... I have two options : either I add a slider to define the distance to use to add airframe in the mask, or I use cockpit frame only for color/sharpen.... Second option will have one inconvenient : at least the UH1 did not include in cockpit all the cabin, only the front part (where pilot are). But it may be easier for users. I'll do a fix as soon as I can.
  6. Strange. Could you post a quick track or a scenario to reproduce your issue ?
  7. Reshade effects are applied on the whole picture. To do what you want, you need to use a VREM integrated feature : see videos on first post.
  8. The thing is : The new VREM 6.1 enable usage of reshade effects in VR, but as it is relying on a reshade version not officially released, it is including the reshade library you should normally install with reshade installer. If you are not needing any feature of 6.1, keep the official version in the first post of the thread. In all cases, the 5.0 ans 6.1 VREM versions have haze reduction.
  9. Hello, you don't need to install reshade for the 6.1 as it is including the reshade (unofficial) library. I just made reshade effects available in VREM. I need now to understand how I could make the depth buffer available for effects that may need it...
  10. Edit : I tried it without any mod and...same issue But : I was using PNVS because you wrote above "Try to find it not with NVG, but with PNVS (Pilot Night Vision Sensor). " and I forgot the key to toggle NVG. As soon as I used NVG I could see the IR beam even in VR. In fact, it is very visible with quad view, as the ext. view make it thicker...I do not know if it is normal or not to not see the IR beam using the PNVS... Anyway, thanks for your patience ! I'll know check if there is a mod breaking the effect with NVG. Edit: there is no issue with the mods I'm using. the IR beam is still visible in NVG. That's strange, because I had the issue in the campaign !
  11. Thanks, I'll try again without any mod...
  12. If VREM is working in 2D (best test = VREM feature color change for cockpit only) but you do not see changes in VR, it is likelly you do not have the good options in DCS, please check the first post. Another issue may be you did not install reshade with directX support only (OpenXR support should not be used), or you let some defaut addon ticked. VREM is acting at DirectX11 shader level, before any VR output. So there is no need to have OpenXR support in Reshade. The current official version of Reshade is not supporting effects in VR for quad view, so VREM was not able to inject reshade effects in VR. You need to use the new unofficial VREM V6.0 version posted above to have reshade effects in VR.
  13. Hello and happy new year ! The unoffical version of VREM 6.1 is available here : https://www.mediafire.com/file/jgu1bwp0feude7r/ReshadeDCS_VREM_v6.1_unofficial_reshade.zip/file This version is using a reshade commit that is public but no available from reshade site, so for the moment I'll not update the first post of VREM. The VREM version in the link above is including the reshade unofficial library, so you do not need to take care of reshade, just install the mod (it will overwrite the reshade dxgi.dll library if reshade is already installed). This release is adding reshade addon support in VR ad described in the video below, plus capacity to setup the level of TADS video for fitlering (day and night), as they change its default value for every DCS release... It is also adding an experimental fps capping. It is not working so well than in game feature, but you can trigger it on/off by a key press while in cockpit. My idea is to use it in coordination with a program to trigger motion smoothing of Varjo base (program not existing yet), so I could trigger while in cockpit motion smooting+capping on/off, regarding the fps I have in game. I prefer to be without motion smoothing as soon as fps are > 60 fps, but if they go below then I prefer to have it. Changing things is a pain currently... Small explanation of using reshade effects in VR: EDIT : I moved to 6.1 version to improve a bit fps capping handling.
  14. I tried the mission : I have the message "lasing ON", "lasing zone", lasing group" but did not see anything in 2D... I tried to modify the mission by adding the option "infrared" to each call of the script, it seems it doesn't change anything...
  15. You don’t get it. That’s not DCS going to to 95 Hz despite your HMD being at 90 Hz, but having à far smoother experience if you cap fps at 50 Hz and have reprojection at 45 Hz, or if you limit fps at 70 because you can not reach 90. Doing it remove stuttering for me.
  16. In my testing I fund capping fps to a value slightly higher than your target fps is giving a smoother experience.
  17. It's ok, I have syria. I finished the mission by going in editor and getting coordinates of targets, then adding them in one ong of the mission kneeboard (you can do that without unzipping/zipping the full mission.
  18. I'm still not able to see the IR pointer. I tried to do a mission to test but my JTAC is not allowing me to request IR marker... I had a look in your mission : it seems AFSANEH-1 is M60 infantry and has no action to use IR marker. Maybe it's because the mission is protected... From where the IR beam is supposed to come ?
  19. VREM for il2 is not using reshade, but 3dmigoto library. I have to migrate the DCS VREM to reshade because the 3dmigoto library was no more working with the VR in DCS MT...So you need to install the VREM mod for Il2 without reshade. I did not take the effort to migrate it to reshade, it should not give too many advantage for a lot of work.
  20. Performance vs which reference ? I think it will have to be tested to have an answer...Effects are engaged on a specific shader output, used for each rendering (once per eye in standard VR, 2 time per eye for quad view). Plus the standard game mirroring, as I used the reshade active effect to know which one are to be engaged...
  21. A little teaser of V6.0 : Here is the "ColorMatrix" effect of reshade rendered in Left Inner and Outer quad view, but only in Outer right view (as seen in VR HMD, not in mirror screen). I have still some work to do, but the idea will be to select reshade effects for Inner, Outer or both views(if quad view). Of course, for "standard" VR the effect will be rendered for both eyes by the mod.
  22. Thanis for your answer. As I was at very low altitude (I though the IR marker would come from the UAV!) I doubdt I could see it...I'll try to go up. I wonder if this IR ray is done by a dedicated shader...In this context I may be able to do a fix... How to make a unit doing it, so I could test as soon as in cockpit in a dedicated mission ?
  23. I just flew it yesteday, and ...no IR marker can be seen from the south of the airport, once the message has been given. I'm in quad view VR (Varjo Aero), I wonder if this is the root cause... I had a look in mission editor to understand where the T90 are. Now I know where to go, labels wil also help. I did not see anydatalink info, did I miss something ?
  24. Did you install reshade 6.3.3 ? Did you have the settings shown in post 1 ? Was it working with the previous version of the mod ?
