  1. 2024/12/23 for DCS version DCS 2.9.10.4160 => version 5.0 compatibility with last DCS version recompiled for Reshade 6.3.3 => !!! You should have to install the reshade 6.3.3 !!! Merry Christmas to all.

Sorry for the delay, but I spend tome time to fix some stuttering I had in VR with DCS (fixed by a BIOS update + reset of Bios settings) then to try to find the better settings to keep 45 fps with Varjo motion smoothing (not so successfull). I went also in a wrong direction with fog...Now the atmosphere haze setting is back in my "draft" mod, I just need to extend/polish, it should be ready next week. Control of fog seems more tricky, I can easilly disable it but not tune the intensity...But as fog level is defined by mission designer, this should not be a needed option...
  3. For your information, I was very impacted by latency spikes/frame rate drops of a few milliseconds, as I posted before. A BIOS update for my motherboard, which also reset all the settings, resolved everything. I just disabled efficient cores, but keep hyperthreading. Now my fps are far more regular, I do no more have the spikes ! Of course, overcloking is off for the moment, but at least I have a stable basis to start tuning again. You can try to use the lower frequency of your HMD (eg 60 Hz for the G2) or use "reprojection" or "smart smoothing" or "motion smoothing" (it depends of your HMD) that will allow you to interpolate frames and so be fluid with half of target fps (45 fps for 90 Hz). But it may introduce some articfacts.
  4. I nedd to do a full check, I know label masking is still working and haze control not. I'm struggling a bit to restore it...
  5. I do not believe the latency issues you can see in my tracks are created by external processes because they occures always at the same place when replaying the track. So this is really an issue in the game, not outside it.
  6. The issue is not fps, as we can use motion smoothing or any similar feature dependind of VR HMD to get fluid experience. The issue is the spikes. Why do we have for few ms spikes with fps halfed or worse ?
  7. I'm in the same quest...As a lot f people, I have stuttering since a long time, but I spent some time and discover they are mostly created by spikes driving to issueq for Varjo motion smoothing. Example here : without motion smooting, game capped at 45 fps, some spikes of few ms. No smart smoothig and not 90 fps => not a fluid display in VR, so I have stuttering but this is normal ! Then the same with motion smooting => every spikes is amplified by motion smoothing, this create a mess and drive to 22 fps ! As you I did a lot of test without finding any conclusion, except preload radius seems amplifying the spikes. Currently I set it up to minimum and I also set "lod" option to 0.2...This is improving but not solving spikes issues. I'll try to map to 4 cores only.   8. It’s not an effect like in reshade. Effects of reshade are some shaders applied on last render target. Haze removal (as for other features) is modifying the way original shader is building haze.

I would like to use Reshade effectivement instead of the one I did, but unfortunatelly currently reshade effects are not compliant with addons as soon as render resolution is different of backbuffer. So no way for the moment. My effects are surelly not so good as the ones from reshade, but sharpen is affecting cockpit only (so less flickering landscape) and deband is on sky and sea only.
  10. Hello, did you install reshade without any VR option ? Only DX11/DX12, do not tick any extra addon.
  11. It seems there is no more ST version...And I did not see any IR marker when the message occured. I'll try again to check, but if the issue is not fixed you may provide a workaround...

  13. Hello, I have have "MT" flag in the version name on bottom right of the main menu screen (of the game, not of the launcher), even if I click on the DCS.exe icon in "bin" folder... How to check if I'm using the ST ?   17. Hello, check your option : You should have an option that is changing the shader used for global illumination. MSAA4x is not supported. Unfortunatelly, Reshade is not supporting so well VR. I tried to use effect in shader output, but the developper confirmed me it can not work at the moment...

Maybe I should give more explanation : when you select "activate xx feature", the related shaders will be taken in to account, as the actitvity they are triggering (eg texture copying for NS430 and color/deband/label). But if you do not toggle the option, it will not be changed. Example for color : "activate color feature" will change the original shader by the modded one. But if you do not tick "enable color change", no color change will be done. You need by the way select "enable color change" to change colors settings in GUI. Maybe I'll rework a bit the mod to group the feature needing change on global pixel shader different of the one needing only the stencil texture.... MSAA4x is not supported (as written in first post), but MSAA2x should work. That's strange...If you enable "misc" feature you should have control of haze. Could you enable "debug", push on the button "capture frame", close game and post the files reshade.log and DCS_VREM.ini ?
  19. 4.4 I do not know if the issue is with 4.3 or because I uninstalled (plus registry hack) then re installed mbucchia Varjo-Foveated. But if you think you lost some fps, re install Varjo base with last version...In worst case you'll have same fps, in best case you'll go to normal fps.
  20. I had also bad fps, far worse than in the past... So after reading your post, I went to Varjo site to download the last 3.x version. Then I saw there was the 4.4 version since the 1st of October, I missed it. So I installed it and went form 72 fps in A10CII / instant action / takeoff to 90 fps ! In DCS, QV enabled, eye tracking disabled, mbucchia Varjo Varjo-Foveated.

Honestly, there are a lot of graphic options , I do not know which ones are breaking the mod...Maybe you check all differences and change them one by one...But I'm not sure I'll update the mod, because it would mean fix new shaders, so more work....   24. My mod is not working if I'm using your config. Could you have a look in options on first post and align them ? You can also try to use my config at first to check if the mod is wokring on your rig with my settings. options.lua
