  3. Since I've made some of these Liveries in question, I can tell you that I'm terms of quality, here's a bit of a sneak peak behind the curtain to the process. As I work on a livery, it's authenticity is scrutinized by the livery team via update pics, questions, vast historical research photos etc, other artists weighing in. Eventually, it's given the thumbs up once it meets the standard. With the tools, creativity of the artists and the absolute accessibility and plain common sense and consideration that Cobra gives to the individual team member's input, I can't imagine a more forward thinking and reasonable group of people to work with than what I've experienced working with the HB team. If any words describe best their mission, the words Precision, detailed, accurate, and thorough come to mind regarding the quality of their products. The very fiber of the DNA of the people who populate this team simply won't allow them to produce something of lesser quality than that which can ultimately be achieved. I've been in the simming world for over 25 years and I've never seen anything like what we have now. DCS and Heatblur, are on the leading edge of simming. Anyway, If there's something "sub par" about my Liveries, let me know with specifics. Thanks.
  4. I just want to know if you think my VF-31 1991 falls into the category of "sub-par"? If so,.what are the reasons, so as to take some self reflection on my own work. Seeing as I'm one of those called out generically.
  5. Thank you. So, seems like this should be fixable then? Just a few more screens. Seems like there are so many of these that it might be more reasonable to inspect the model from the dev end, rather than trying to find every one via model viewer and posting pics...but you can see it's literally all over the the entire model.
  6. Just to clarify, this issue appears over top of the custom Normals that many including myself have implemented. Which leads me to believe it's a model mesh issue. Thank you for your time. Thank you for reading. And I understand that ED, you're doing what you can to tackle the past release issues. Keep up the good work!
  7. Yes, I believe so. I tried to update the thread title...but it won't update. I've updated the verbiage in the description.
  8. I think you're right. Original post and title edited.
  9. [UPDATED POST] The 3D mesh has changed. Can be seen in normal maps and regular views in model viewer and in sim. Changed in 2.8. Specifically - Main 2 is darker causing a complete seam from top and bottom fuselage on ALL paints. New large seams caused by large edge lines which don't follow the original texture normals or texture seams. This problem is viewed from the normal maps and regular views in model viewer. It's as if the model isn't welded properly. Happening To every paint in the sim. See Pics for reference. Control image from 2.7 2.8 Anomalies (major Eye sore and visual artifact). ALL paints have the issue now. Where as previously they did not.
  10. The attention to detail (and the smallest details) is what makes Heatblur products so attractive IMO. So naturally, they attract like-minded individuals. It's not surprising to me at all. While leaving out certain details to incoroporate a generic global feel might seem like a no brainer to some, to the ones who are detail oriented, it's like an "unflyable" situation. LOL. They know something is missing and they want to make it as authentic as they can. As someone who makes liveries and does so with much research and collaboration with others to get the most information about a livery - I try to make something as authentic as I can. Which means for me, I'd rather not associate my name with anything other than what I feel is my best effort. So, my guess is that is how the other "rivet counters" feel as well. It's a "take pride in our work" thing. Not a "we want to be difficult" thing.
  11. Thank you! You might see ND111 & ND113.

    8K Sabres

Hello. I've been updating the Sabre to 8K. More in the hopper. First batch is a 6 ship of FJ-3 themed liveries.
  13. Found it! Thanks anyway! That name was key.
  14. I've looked through every zip file in the World Textures Folder, can you point me to it's location?
  15. Thank you Sir!
  16. Can someone tell me what this part's .lua callout is? I cannot find it anywhere. I'm referring to what looks like a LAU-7 rail. Not the pylon itself. Thank you. I'm trying to finish up some FJ3 paints.
