  1. @Admiral189 Question about the LPD Foundre. I have installed in the path shown below but it does not appear in my mission editor as an option? Any thoughts?
  2. @VKing Thanks for sharing this video. I had to go out of town right after making this thread and never got around to sharing a track but your video shows the issues I was having perfectly.
  3. Did some testing and there is definitely something wrong when on the deck of the San Antonio. I can fly right beside or right behind the ship while its moving at 30 knots and no hit to frame rate at all. As soon as I come in just above the deck low to land the frame rate drops into low teens and even single digits. Saved a track file but not sure its evident in the video. Edit to add this is a new mission file i created to test so no other factors in the mission. Just dropped the ship and added the apache. sanantonio.trk
  4. I've tried both versions with very little difference. As soon as I get off the ship I get my normal framerates in the high 80's. Best while on the ship is mid teens.
  5. @Admiral189 I recently tried this mission which uses your San Antonio mod and my FPS on the deck of ship is near Zero. Once I get off the deck, if I can without crashing, the FPS is immediately fine as usual and I can play the rest of mission. Any thoughts? Thanks.
  6. @-=Grumpy=- Not sure if anyone else has had this issue with this mission. When I start on the deck of the San Antonio FPS is near zero. Its near impossible to lift off. If I do manage to get off the deck then FPS is immediately fine. Has anyone else had this issue with the San Antonio Mod? Thanks for the work.
  7. Nice detail you caught there. And nice picture you shared. What stands out to me about this pic is how all the buildings look alike. I have seen lots of criticism of the map by content creators saying it was too duplicative but I'm guessing none of them have actually been to Egypt. Based on this pic I think OnReTech nailed it.
  8. Can I just disable the mod and drop these new files in my Mods folder overwriting the originals and then re-enable the mod? Never mind I answered my own question. I see you had those instructions for updates in the main post. Thanks for all you do!
  9. Is there some specific graphic setting or level of settings associated with this effect because I have tried and tried to replicate this and I can never produce glare like this? I'm running most settings High or Ultra in 4K. Is this VR only??
  10. I saw some similar posts but not exactly this description so apologies if we think this is already reported. This is new since last update for me. I start a mission as Back Seat with George AI as CPG. I bring up George. WAS any weapon. Direct George to Slave. He will slave over reliably until I lock on and Lase first target. Whether I engage the target or not he will not Slave anymore after the first target. I have tried wasing any other weapon, de-was, turning him off and back on and back and forth but nothing brings him back. He will continue to WAS other weapons, will De-Was, will change from LOBL to LOAL, will change rocket counts etc. He just wont slave anymore. I also cannot place the weapons back on Safe once this happens. If I press the ARM/Safe button it just stays armed and keeps repeating "Weapons Armed." Now what I feel pretty positive about is this only happens on Cold Start missions. I ran a few Hot Starts and no problem. Went back to a Cold Start and it did it again on 2 missions and then was OK on the 3rd. I will try and get a track. Of course when i went to save it didn't do it.
  11. Agree the overall stability while holding FTR is greatly improved but there seems to an exception at a certain point. Slow or slow and low. I can hold FTR to decelerate to a hover position but can't actually get in to a stopped stable hover while holding it. I have to release just before a full stop and then adjust, trim and then I can set holds. I get close while holding FTR and then what seems like the smallest adjustment of controls and the ride is on. It also seems small Collective changes are unsettling the aircraft much more than before. Perhaps it calls for big changes to my curves and sats for this model but I am overall flying much better just trimming as I go and can achieve great hovers without holding FTR the whole time so hesitant to change the settings right now. All part of the fun with a WIP. I'm still enjoying it much more with this update.
  12. Maybe I'm using the wrong term regarding the hold but No I'm not activating anything myself. And it could be below 5 knots but its the attitude hold that you can see come active on the controls indicator. It activates on lift too which keeps you straight with no pedal input. Excuse my ignorance of the exact technical terms but thats what it seems i'm fighting on landing. I will try the FTR as I'm coming down and see if that helps.
  13. I'm finding the latest FM changes to have really helped and I'm much better on hovering IGE and OGE and decelerating to an OGE hover and taking up a position. Maneuvering with the FTR held is also terrific. However, decelerating to a nice landing on a Helipad or even just to a specific spot I seem to have to really fight the SAS at low speeds and low altitude. I realized just now that the Hover Hold is actually going active when I get around 10 feet and less than maybe 10 knots so it feels like I'm having to fight through the hold for any yaw or pitch adjustments as I'm landing and its causing me to over control. I have Virpil stick with their long curved extension and virpil pedals. Just can't seem to get consistent in those last 10-15 feet or so landing. Any suggestions? I'm running good curves and adjusted Y sats etc. I can handle it well everywhere except that last 10 feet landing. Should I be holding FTR all the way down? Thanks for any feedback.
  14. Apologies to dig into this a bit further. To be sure I am understanding? If you are using Barthek's Caucasus and your Better Tree's, this MOD should be applied before those two? or after? or doesn't matter? Great work and thanks for sharing and putting up with all our questions.
  15. I've searched and can't find what I'm asking in forum. Do people use the slider setting for their collective and can someone explain what the difference is? Thanks.
  16. New to the mod. Can anyone point me to a guide, video or file, that details the control mappings for the UH-60 Mod? What's most important to map etc as a baseline? Thanks.
  17. I genuinely appreciate your feedback but perhaps I need to somehow rephrase my question. This last sentence in your reply comes closest to answering my question. I understand everything you said about the human vision and the FOV, visual acuity etc. But all I really want to know is just what you partially shared here in this last sentence. If i was sitting in an Apache right now looking straight forward, how close would the displays be to me, how much over the boresight would I see as an average height man, etc. I'm using head tracking so I don't need to know what the peripheral FOV is I can turn and see all that. Just want to know from some of the real apache pilots I know we have in here what that distance is or which of the images I posted comes closest to demonstrating that? If I went out and sat in my Acura RDX right now I could draw an image that demonstrates what my view and spacing is like looking straight ahead relevant to the dash. If I sat in a big 4x4 Pickup that would probably be a bit different. That's all I'm trying to get a feel for and then I can set my FOV to best match that. This Youtube video explains what I'm trying to do. In this he explains how he adjusted his FOV to be more realistic. He talks about this from his experience in the jets and having been at Nellis and seen that view. Looking at the pilot from external view and how close he is to the HUD he adjusts the FOV to better represent that distance. Its not perfect because yes its a flat screen monitor but its closer. Thanks again.
  18. I appreciate the response but I understand all that. All I'm asking is, from someone who has actually sat in the pilot seat, what is generally the most accurate perspective for the pilot looking straight forward in the seat of those two images. How close are you essentially to the displays, how much do you see over the top of the panels, etc. etc. Nothing complicated.
  19. I've searched but couldn't find an answer to my specific question. I am curious what a realistic FOV from the pilot seat is in the Apache. I've seen many YouTubers and posters in here show screenshots that vary greatly in cockpit. I am speaking NON-VR only just single monitor. The first image seems to be very common in a lot of the videos I see but doesn't seem realistic to me based on photos I have seen of pilots in the cockpit. The second image here is where I run the sim. I would love to hear from the real pilots in here what it should look like. I realize all pilots are different size and height which would make a difference but in general which of these two images is most realistic? I should maybe add I use TrackIR so I can look around. I realize some may use a wider FOV if they don't use head tracking so they can see more of cockpit but again I just wonder what is realistic. Thanks.
  20. There is a patch for the Nvidia driver issue you can find here. https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5450 https://international.download.nvidia.com/Windows/531.26hf/531.26-desktop-notebook-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch.hf.exe
  21. I'm new to this campaign and just got to Mission 9 and this problem still persists. I've tried 4 times now and the Convoy just goes about a couple kms and then gets spread out and stops. Will keep trying. Its still a great campaign.
  22. @Presidium Enjoying the missions tremendously but wanted to share some issues I've encountered. Several times now I have completed one mission and then get the voice over that there is another mission and Incoming transmission but nothing happens. It just stalls. I can abort the mission at that point and it will sometimes reset and give the next mission but not always. I've also noticed if I do abort the mission and get a new mission sometimes the graphics in the mission console are actually for a different mission then the one I'm running. Don't know if a track or screenshot would help but I can try and save some next time it happens. Thanks again for such great work.
  23. @Presidium Thanks so much for sharing this with the community. I've run the first mission and its a blast. One thing I noticed is on my screen I could not see my comms menu when activated. It was obscured by the Console you created in the upper right corner of screen that runs the mission. Any thoughts? Excellent work. EDIT: Never mind. Seems you really only need comms at the very beginning to pick difficulty. You just have to pick quickly before the mission console comes up.
