  1. You can donload this one from: https://www.currenthill.com/usa
  2. This depends totally on weather conditions, your angle in relations to the light direction, overall light conditions, plus bottom conditions, depth of water etc.. So many parameters, these pictures are not very useful to demonstrate, as they probably are not comparable considering possible natural variations. (I haven't checked that map for unrealistic waters, so this is just my initial thoughts) Also; I'm generally impressed with DCS water and its transparancy in shallows.
  3. You are right. It was there before 2.9 and appeared around the time the F15E was released - ish. DCS.log in "saved games/DCS.openbeta/logs" Run dxdiag from start, and you save that file where you want. I think default path is desktop. I'd love to see a fix very soon, because now that everything is so smooth, these menigitis-inducing flashes ruins all the would-be joyous missions.
  4. I want to chime in, as my frustration level is reduced by some 95% by this. Had to ditch a 3080 and invest in 4090 making it a very expensive endeavour. (I've learned to ignore the comparison to a Fender or Gibson guitar I could have had for those money.) Devs has done a great job and achieved goal after goal, simultaneously going through rough country, but seem to have had an eye on the ball all the way. A lot of people are doing a lot of good and competent work. It is hard to keep faith when frustration levels are high. -For all parties. But dammit! All in all, I'd say a huge "thank you" is in order!
  5. Flashes.trkDxDiag.txtdcs.log Disabled full screen without any result. It changed nothing, because mirror was windowed before. I can not make it go fullscreen. Anyway, here's a track where I allways get flashes. (F-15E)
  6. That worked like a charm! Thx!
  7. "Using standard loadout: 8x AGM-L - 1200x 30mm rounds - 2x hydra rocket-launchers - 100% fuel" -That is max load. In less than optimal weather/temp/baro pressure conditions, you'll soon run into lift challenges.
  8. I guess they were connected both via BT and the USB-cable, causing some havoc..
  9. Yes. I just wrote "5" for "reasons". I actually mapped it the way you explain. Killing the bloatware overrides this, and it alt-tabs in stead.
  10. I've mapped the thumb button to "5" and use it frequently to reset view i VR. And a tiny button to toggle labels. -Need bloatware for that. (I guess?) Default is some alt-tab-ish function.
  11. My Logitech bluetooth mouse ran out of battery, so I USB-connect to PC for charging, and run DCS: Had severe stutter until I disconnected. This mouse one comes with some bloatware it seems. "Logi bolt" etc.. Unfortunately I have to run it for it to work properly. Next time, I'll charge it over night.
  12. Should go for all smoke. Like when flying over burning vehicles, and through that black smoke column.. I was surprised to find that rotors had no effect on smoke, because I've seen "very" realistic vortex shapes in cheaper helo sims in the past.
  13. I appreciate the huge dynamic area in DCS. Sometimes I reduce gamma to 1.5 for a more pleasing image.
  14. I don't think DLAA is the cause of stutter. Thing is, now one has to choose stutter ,smudge, or 3Dfx era graphics. Performance has not improved. Anomalies has just changed in appearance.
  15. Thank you again. Yes Caucasus is fine. I figure the 15 year jubilee include Caucasus. The 15 year old veteran is working performance wise. Our systems finally caught up to that one.
  16. Thank you. I use VR, and using DLAA would mean I chose stutter in stead. -I guess. Will try again.
  17. What a rabbithole of placebo and anecdotes. I've tried most of them. I even switched PC, and lastly I switched from 3080 to the holygraily 4090 -Nah! Latest remedies are cosmetic in such a way that where we before had stutter and shimmer, we now have smudge. Formation lights appear as afterburners in flyby, and aircrafts leak their own shadows like ink in water. Targeting pods and screens look like 50's TV with ye ole "reflexes" Stutters and shimmer, allbeit camouflaged, will remain in until ED fix the problem on their side, or I lowering setting under options until pre 3DFX graphics. -Yes, I exaggerate. A tad..
  18. Do you guys use default gamma setting?
  19. I get that to. Started before 2.9 though. What is your Gamma setting?
  20. Interesting. Will try.
  21. Same goes for the Gazelle camera/monitor. Looks like some function is set to "auto" like auto exposure in a camera. (Which is a bad function for people not knowing how to set exposure parameters manually)
  22. I also see flashes, as if there were lightning strikes behind me. In a certain mission in Caucasus, it is reproducable. All plane modules. Appearing after passing a certain point.
