How about water? Because there is a layer of ocean under all land textures. I guess they potentially take some room i VRAM? Especially if they also renders as high texture quality.

After Oculus Quest 2 Update VR is not playable because of flickering
Moxica replied to LOW_Hitman's topic in VR Bugs
I started running everything default: No OTT, no Oculus debug tool, Nvidia control panel to default, but I've turned ground shadows to "Off" and I set clouds/weather to "Nothing" in mission editor. 72 Hz, 3616x1840. Pixel density to 1.3 in DCS. I adjust gamma between 1,6 and 2,2 depending on mission. Double vision mostly (as good as) gone. Never looked or run better than today. -
MFCD visibility issue due to SRGB being enabled in 2.8
Moxica replied to ColinM9991's topic in DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer
it kinda looks like the A10 cocpit is out of focus, but with a sweet spot at ca. 15-20cm. At this distance, the MFD's also look alright. -
That gave a couple of advantages in VR. I opened a troublesome mission (frame rate-wise) in mission editor, and set weather to "Nothing" -Shimmering clouds gone, and much better framerate.

How long was Adam in paradise? -Not long. I can not believe a platform this mature still can be categorized as "promising" at best. In spite of a brand new, $4K rig, it is completely impossible to make it run smooth. Turning down allready 2012 standards graphics quality to wolfenstein-level, still will not deliver smooth gameplay through a complete mission. This must be the most frustrating endeavour I have ever tried. (Those shimmering clouds alone are starting to give me meningitis, and skin rash) My setting? I've tried them all. I will not send. I don't need help. You do! Besides; I've sent to or three chrash reports; Put that in your book! -Thank you for reading, and thus sharing my frustration over my favourite themed product. Sorry if I vomited. ED: I still love you.

No. I touched nothing. Short n' sweet mission. Landed in a tigh spot, though.
-
Thanks again. I'd have to tell you that your statement "if you used the same setting in 2.7 they will be the same in 2.8" made me optimistic, so I fired up 2.8 again. First test in a relatively long time. And whaddyaknow. The framerate was/is better than ever. I do not have a clue about what could have done that.
-
Thank you. My question is on how do you go by to sync those settings? Is there a file I could copy or smth?
-
Is there a way to sync./ ensure that my settings are the same in the two? Because 2.8 performance is so bad, I cant use it. And I want to make absolutely sure there is no difference in settings. (Also, I can't use any more time debugging. I've had enough.)

I executed a mission in a nice way, and made a perfect landing after. So I saved the track to watch and cheerfully pat my own back. But this time, the track showed me landing in a totally different spot. Total bummer. Whatintheactual..?

They are displaying their annual "Christmas star" on a national tour atm. My colleges didn't think it was a very big deal, so I share it with yous. Not my picture. Could have been though. (Those flares must have been some show flares; They burned out rather quickly)

I'm not using 2.8 atm, because unacceptable bad framrate. I haven't experienced such tracking problem since. (Except if I look extreme right and down, actually )
-
Thank you so much. That was it. -Not as spectacular, but still!

Thank you, Razor! It is equipped with Rb 04e ASM. Tasked as "Attack unit" I'm not familiar with "Designated for AI" Que?
-
He flies to the turning point, and turns to land without attacking. (Even if I end at wp1) What have I done wrong?
-
Unless, of course, I use one of the two-way switches on the throttle. Could touch it with oculus glasses on, and feel the position. Didn't think of that until now. Will try. Thank you.

I have fairly recently discovered the excellent function of a modifier. It effectively doubles the amount of functions on my Hotas Warthog set. In addition, I would love to have some indication of the state of the modifier, On or off. Just a little hint somewhere... Please?

Upon landing in this quick start mission, I "order" refueling. Ground crew insist on re-arming also; with same load out. Can I just order refueling? How?
-
Thx, Tepnox. I am using air link, but you are right. I somehow had lowered the bitrate for the wifi in Oculus software. That lead to the compression, and the windows views suffered the most. Specially when looking through two layers of glass. (AH64 pilot seat, and through any HUD)

Quest2 out side world blurry and messy But why . ??
Moxica replied to KoN's topic in Virtual Reality
Thank you for your suggestions. I have somehow put the bandwith for the oculus air link to 0 due to some misunderstanding. That solved the graphics compression "anomalies" I experienced. Now I can finally fine tune towards a sweet spot again. Almost there.. This is easy in comparison. -
In VR my screen is small and is inside the hangar
Moxica replied to mibo's topic in DCS World Tutorial & Help Requests
That is normal. It depends on the moment of "synchronisation" You can bind a key to reset. I have numeric key 5 It might even be the default key: Try looking straight ahead and press numeric key 5 Bind if it does not work. -
Quest2 out side world blurry and messy But why . ??
Moxica replied to KoN's topic in Virtual Reality
Sadly, no. I use Oculus link. I tried cable, but there was no difference. I will check out bit rate asap. I can not remember changing it, though, but that would be one of the things I havent tried. Thank you! -
Ookay? I don't see any logic here, though.. ..in two weeks?

I have fairly recently found the Modifier function to cover my needs regarding the tedac. I assign the pinky lever on the joystick as modifier, activating when in CPG seat. -Effectively giving me two different joystick setups on the fly. My two playstation controllers retired immediately. Also: I know what to do when the radar arrives.
