  1. Is there a way to activate the middle position (off)? It won't bind..
  2. Is it to effective? It feels right in take-off situations, but when I need to make small forward corrections during landing, it seem to me to maybe be exaggerated. I can not make forward correction small enough to avoid increased altitude, following correction of collective, leading to horisontal rotation; I was almost there, but now I must make a go-around. I hope you know what I mean, and have experienced that to. Maybe I just need more practice. Any thoughts?
  3. I've noticed that this initial slow rendering only happens when there are more slots in the mission. With only one aircraft as player/client it render (more) immediately.
  4. Some missions starts out smooth, until enemy units are activated; Boom! Slideshow. Uncontrollable helo. Even when units are out of sight. That indicates CPU constipation.
  5. The rendering time could be mission/ground-object specific, as It only happen consistently in one of two "test" missions I have created. (Sometimes randomly in other missions) The problematic mission is not target rich at all, but still has that render anomaly. (That started to appear after 2.8 update) I will check (later today, I hope) if the "problematic" mission contain third party asset-pack objects.
  6. Phew! And it is hard to detect sometimes, because SCAS counter my pedal trim and input. Sometimes, if I trim, SCAS kinda nullifies it by dragging that trim point against, and all the way to center. SCAS is mostly working against what I want.
  7. If it is, I suspect some kind of USB hibernation. If there is such a thing.
  8. I experience this too. Dissappointing, because this is how it used to be on my old computer with spinning discs. And on some missions, there are no textures during the first 10-20 seconds; Ground is all water, and cockpit is black with no instruments or surfaces.
  9. They are CH Products pro pedals with springs. I believe I have default trim mode. Have to check when I get home. I'm staying in a cabin in the mountains at the outermost southwest, point of the upcoming Kola peninsula map this weekend.
  10. I do that, and the indicator does not move until I put it to the extreme left or right. The calibration program/driver interface does not indicate any stickyness, nor spikeyness.. Also, I havent noticed any such behaviour in, say ground steering in the F-18, A-10 or F-16. I still will not rule out any culprit. (Because my PS3 controllers sometimes does not give any input at all, and I have to re connect to fix)
  11. Thx, admiki! I allways turn off force trim (FTR?) on landing approach., sometimes re trim stick right. If it is SCAS, one could say it aint doing me any favours atm.
  12. Sometimes, especially near landings it seem, the rudder pedals seem to be glued to the centre position (or have fallen asleep right there.) I'd have to push to extreme left/right to kind of activate them. And then the first movements are jumpy. After that "wake up" push they work normally, but it often mess up my landings. Not sure if some USB port setting or DCS bug. What do you think?
  13. Playable and beautiful. Even with the AH64 on Falkland map. -Not in Marianas, though.
  14. Interesting! I use this method slightly different; I enter coordinates from JTAC, and select it as ACQ. I then align (with red tg point on the mfd/map) the AH64 until the (LOAL) square turns solid, and report "IN" Firing from behind cover with Reaper JTAC lasing is boss!
  15. This has been a strange few days DCS-wise; Saturday, first hours it looked terrible, and had bad performance. I tried a different setting here and another one there. Today it looks and performs better than ever. Even the AH 64 in the Falklands was smooth and looked as good as the Falklands map can look that close in my Oculus Quest 2. Someone has done something very clever.
  16. I feel bad about reporting/nagging about anomalies I experience in this forum, because it gives a misrepresentation about how I really feel about DCS; I love it. It has become the subject of my hyper fixation. The work that has been done, and the attention to (some of the) details is unbelieavable. I spend way to much time figuring out how to "fix" subjects of my frustration, but the joy of getting there is very rewarding. My recent challenge are the pixellated clouds, but I made some great progress last night, and I can't wait to get home from work to check it out. Because the framerate (degradet at first) improved after 2.8 using Oculus Quest2. I hope to be contributing to improvements, and that me nagging be seen as a sign that I'm sometimes worried about my favourite product.
  17. I was happy to discover that I could maximize almost all settings and still have FPS ranging from acceptable to very good. (I use Oculus Quest 2) But I cannot get rid of those (new) jaggies. The horizon and clouds are flickering, and it is so distracting. Clouds setting does not seem to affect anything but FPS. I've tried a few settings both in DCS and Nvidia control panel: No joy.
  18. Interesting! I will test that when I get home from work. (In way to many hours. I can't wait)
  19. I can't believe the settings I'm getting away with; Max, Ultra, Highest etc.. And still having the framerate of a 90's soap opera. (Yes, I'm thinking of you "The bold and the beautiful) This is in "my reference" mission, not being to demanding, and is in Caucasus. But still! Saturday was a nightmare, but yesterday, and today. What has happened? Love that moon, by the way.
  20. I whish the "Power lever to off/Power levers to idle" could be a toggle. Because now I use two keybinds to start, and two more to stop the engine on those alone. Adds up to four, and is a waste of functions on my PS3 controller. I could use a few spare.
  21. Sometimes, I press TMS down short, and the tgp slaves to a spi/steerpoint behind the aircraft. It gets tucked away real good. How do I get by to quickly bring it forward? Because slewing it manually takes forever, and in circles. Active pause involved..
  22. Same behaviour in some scenarios where JTAC is lasing. Lots of xpensive hellfires miss unless perfectly aligned. My problem when hovering behind cover; find the alignment. Is it really hit and miss?
  23. Actually.. Ooor as a matter of fact.. I'll be damned.. (I had to do some manual baking in Oculus debug tool, though. Some changes had happened there without my knowlegde; "Link sharpening" was reset to auto, "Asynchronous spacewarp" was locked to 45 frames. Those were not my settings))
  24. Thank you, Swift, but no. But hold on.. I may have fooled myself again. I have two verions of the mission; One where I replaced JTAC with a new one. Must check the other version...
