This is more of a public opinion position, but a claim was made by ED. I could understand if they wish they never made that claim to begin with, but you can't unring that bell. Even if providing proof of the claim compromises the negotiations, all that tells me is that they value the outcome of those negotiations more than community trust. I don't envy their position, but it's one they've put themselves in.

At this point, any statement without evidence or corroboration by both parties should hold no weight. This includes official announcements. RB has claimed they would not be able to continue development and yet some updates have been delivered across several modules in the meantime. ED has claimed that there was an IP violation but has not provided evidence of this violation. Both parties have, at times, pointed to being 'unable' to provide evidence for their claims due to ongoing discussions. I do not believe this to be accurate. Both parties may have been advised by their respective legal councils that it would be preferable to not publicize evidence to support their claims, but this is not the same as being 'unable' to do so. Legal council cannot take into account loss of community trust, and their recommendations will be blind to that. Both parties believe the contract has been violated, albeit for different reasons. Since the contract has been violated, confidentiality is a matter of preference. ED is a steward of the largest consumer-facing modern combat flight simulator platform and associated community. In that respect, I am deeply disappointed with their performance. Even if RB is the party in the wrong, the poor community culturebuilding and communication has done immense damage. Be easy on BN and 9L where this is concerned: much of the decisionmaking likely lies in the hands of Wags and Nick Grey.

A dual-arm Tico! Looks amazing. -
Return of the Buns?

Yep, VSN F-106, good eye. Thought it'd be nice to see a pair of American deltas haha

Phenomenal work on the B-58! You're adding tons of value to DCS; thank you so much. I took a few minutes to relocated the position of the wingtip vortices. nullFeel free to use the code if you so wish: wing_tip_pos = {-7.80, -0.0, 8.50},

I frequently add some weight to the MiG-21Bis to calm the AI down, either by forcing it to keep fuel tanks or by adding cargo weight.

Outstanding!

That schema change to missiles really did in a lot of mod creators. I was hoping the last update would be good that did not come to pass. -
Beautiful! Thank you for your efforts, you have once again moved DCS forward!

What about the folks that bought those modules recently? It would kind of suck to pick up a module only to have it break a few months later with no recourse.

I cannot express how important the next week, days, and hours are to the brand.

Looking at it from a dispassionate angle, it's a matter of trust. The entire platform relies on trust. If the authentication servers die tomorrow, people lose access to what they've paid for. Wags has said that without preorder, the business doesn't work, so trust is required that the products in EA will be delivered. Trust is easy to lose and hard to gain. Both sides have done things that have harmed trust in the past. I think the highly polarized views of individuals are directed by who that individual trusts more. There's no way around it - this situation impacts trust. In that sense, it is absolutely for users to figure out who to believe as to do fail to do so while continuing to engage with the platform is fiscally irresponsible.

From an academic perspective, the ship has sailed on this being a private matter. To say there's an IP dispute but not show receipts leaves a void that comm theory says will be filled and the lack of communication will be taken to represent the worst possibilities. To quote Paul Watzlowick, "one cannot not communicate." This is one of the times where legal best practices are absolutely the wrong thing to do from a public relations and culture building standpoint. The lack of communication has already done irreparable harm and I'm seeing signs of opinion snowballing. I cannot express how important the next week, days, and hours are to the brand. My professional advice would be to make the legal team aware of this and come up with a plan to communicate evidence with your audience in a manner that does not compromise your legal position. I'm not a lawyer, I don't know what that looks like, but I do know what it looks like when a brand loses the confidence of its tentpost community members.

Military Assets for DCS by Currenthill

Thank you, CH! Your mods are always beautiful and add a lot to modern DCS settings. Unfortunately, I'm a bad person and cannot be trusted with such assets... -
That cockpit looks gorgeous. Will the Alphajet be armed? It'd make a spectacular little light attacker.

That is a tremendous amount of work for a single person. -
The French only used dual rails for their infrequent use of Sidewinders. For Magics, it seems to have always been a single missile mount.

I don't know if it's my particular installation, but the rebel ship is quite laggy on my machine. I notice the EDM is pretty large, so I'm guessing it's a relatively high poly model. -

Personally, I love a good n' dirty ship. These are working vessels, they get a nice patina. The Coronado could have been the return of the Great White Fleet! -
nullOkay, I've seen this one before. Go to the DCS splash screen and in the top right click the MODULE MANAGER. Click the Installed tab and scroll down to mods. You should see the radio button for the Hermes shifted to the left and not green. Correct that and you are G2G!
